    I had to do my first stanadyne twice too. Since then I’ve corrected that.

      This is was my second but last one I did was 10 years ago. After studying this one I could rebuild them in my sleep now.

    This is the EXACT problem I’m chasing as well. I’ve got a Ford 2000 with the 3 Cylinder diesel and I’m having the same problems. White smoking, hazing at higher RPM’s and a straight eye burner if you leave it in a building too long. I’ve put new injectors in but no fix. I’m definitely subbed and following this. I’ve figured for a while I needed a pump rebuild but really curious what, within the pump, is causing this.

      For me, I had a shaft on the governor fork backwards so the governor wasn't working properly. I'm assuming it was dumping more fuel than needed. Not sure how the injection pumps on the 3 cylinders are built but more than likely your pump is the issue as well.

      You have a different type pump with your 3 cyl.

      @@YOU-vj4fl yeah I realize that but I do believe that something inside the pump is causing my issue. I will say that it’s not as bad as what’s shown in this video but it’s enough to be noticed and probably needs to be fixed soon.

    Sorry that you need to take the injector pump apart again, I just rebuild mine same engine, same pump, but it is on a boat.
    Is the pump set up for 18 or 22 degrees?
    Looking forward to your next video .
    Thank you.

      Right now I have it set at 23 degrees. It seems to like it there. Haven't tried it at 18 since I rebuilt it again.

    The engine has a slight “gallop” to it. Like it’s not quite firing correctly. Maybe timing is off?

    • @chickenhousemechanic
      @chickenhousemechanic  Рік тому +1

      A gallop is a good way to put it. Governor in injection pump wasn't working properly. Next video of the pump I point out where I messed up. Next video might be a series since I go real in depth into the pump.

    Sir run the engine in idle rpm and then advance or retire the injection pump when the engine is running smooth

      Retire the engine 2 to 4 degrees

      Is the engine oil level getting low check the dipstick

    How do you stop a roosa master from leaking fuel into the crank case ?

    • @chickenhousemechanic
      @chickenhousemechanic  Рік тому

      There are 2 umbrella seals at the bottom of the pump that are the most likely cause of fuel leaking into the crankcase. The line under the valve cover can also leak fuel. I'm currently editing a video of rebuilding the pump and should have it released soon.

    recheck your timing. I put a pump in 180 off started and ran but smoked and burned your eyes

      mike, can you walk me through how you fixed your 180 degree problem, I think i have it too

      @@billyalexander2783 take the valve cover off bar the engine over until your timing mark lines up make sure the intake and exhaust valves are closed. If one is open then turn the engine another full turn. should get you to TDC #1. Verify your injection pump is in the correct position
