  • This video will teach you step by step how to install the rear camber arm with basic tools, doing the first one will take one an hour, it depends on you, but the second one with experience will not take more than 40 minutes. You do not need to take your car to the mechanic since I teach as much as possible every detail or problem that is found along the way.

      Thanks Bro, I'm going to make another video about that, because that brand of control arm didn't last the bad roads in California, I already bought better ones and I'll show the differenc, so you don't make the mistake of buying that brand like I did.

    I would add to be sure to tighten the bolts on each side of the camber arm when the suspension is loaded to set proper tension on the bushings.

    • @momo5757
      @momo5757  11 місяців тому

      Just to make sure if I understand your recommendation, when you said the suspension is loaded you mean the car already with the tires installed and on the ground and then tight the bolts on the camber?

    • @MarkJCarruthers
      @MarkJCarruthers 11 місяців тому

      @@momo5757 I think with your version you installed they might have a bearing but with a stock arm or a replacement arm with a bonded bushing you will want to tighten the bolts with the suspension at ride height.

      @momo5757  11 місяців тому

      @@MarkJCarruthers Yeah you are right, I didn't do that, because when I finished installing the parts I took it for alignment there they finished adjusting the car to the correct specifications.

      It is about rubber bushing getting squeezed in a correct position. You need at least put a jack under the rear brake disk and lift it up. If you do not do that, your rubber bushing will be always in twisted position and will fall apart much sooner that it should be. That is a general rule working on suspension parts. Working on cars requires some general mechanical knowledge. @@momo5757

    How does the alignment shope get to them, Do they remove the tires and balance them then put them back and align them with the tires again ?

    • @momo5757
      @momo5757  Рік тому

      When you take it to the alignment, they don’t need to remove the tires, to adjust the camber they have plenty space to work on it.

    The new arm is a bit curved: how do you know if the curve goes up or down?

    • @momo5757
      @momo5757  Рік тому

      The original part has that same similar curve, the aftermarket part you can installed in the same position, even on the aftermarket part they don’t give you any installation guide. For sure I can tell you the curve goes down since I installed I do t have any problems and my rear tires they wear out evenly.

      After I installed them, I drove in the freeway and there is no type of strange movement before or after the alignment, if you feel that movement the bushings might be defective

      @@momo5757 well i installed them, and it drove fine when i left them at stock settings but when i cambered them in. Thats when i had the bad fishtail. I installed some toe arms its better but its still there but that could be due to me not getting an alignment yet.

      When you do the alignment, for sure you won’t feel anymore the fishtail y guess I don’t feel that before because when I installed them I went right away to do the alignment
