Hi, I am a Councilman in Stroudsburg Borough. Thank you for visiting our community and doing a great job showcasing our town and all the beautiful attractions the Poconos.
I graduated charlesburg high school 1978.It's on the football team.No jobs back then.So I left moved to New Jersey now.I'm in North Carolina. We're back to the town a few years ago unrecognizable
@@Ischic77 I Love Tobyhanna State Park. I go there as often as I can just to meditate at sun set. And I own my own paddle boat and go out on it as often as I can.
I have lived in the Lehigh Valley all of my 56 years. I have had 16 relatives who lived in the Poconos from Stroudsburg to Milford to Scranton to Carbondale to Hemlock Farms to Lake Wallenpaupak. I an spent enormous amount of time in these areas visiting, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, eating, walking, talking and just being in awe of the beauty of the Poconos and the incredible sandwich places, ice cream places and such. I will always miss Sophia's in Marshalls Creek and the original Mary Anne owner of Mary Annes ice cream. Two big favs of mine for many years when they were there. This video is a great video to show why the Poconos are such a great area to live, work and play.
I moved from the busy city life and settled in the Eastern area of the Poconos. I LOVE it! Surrounded by so much nature is ssoo relaxing and really gives your mind a chance to chill out and soak up the mountains. Tubing in the Delaware River is AWESOME!!🌻🌻
Your video is extremely well researched and presented. Understanding the Poconos takes time for most people. Unlike a designated state park or a national park, the Poconos is an area with no clearly defined boundaries and recreational attractions are scattered all over the region. You did an amazing job putting it all together, your video should get recognition(or maybe even a payment) from The State of Pennsylvania. And your film making skills are superb ! Very professional narration as well. Subscribed !!!
We still remember when the family visited the Bear Mountain, and the towns near by. This was back in the early 70's, and it was a very impressive and beautiful tours. Thanks for bringing old, warm memories back!
Most excellent content! One of the best Pocono vids I’ve seen. Like how you gave a nod to the various local businesses. There are lots of non-tourist areas that are very affordable. 😉
We hope the natural disasters stop, for better airport, with no flight cancellations experience! Beautiful touring sights. God Bless you all! It looks such a relaxing place.
We’re originally from the South Jersey area. We used to love visiting those areas as much as possible. All the seasons are great but our favorite was always during the fall. 🍁 And one of our favorite places was Bushkill Falls.
Not sure if he mentioned it, but when we stayed in the Poconos we went to this place called Bear Creek. It was a large nature preserve where we saw lots of wildlife, including massive bucks and black bear tracks. There is also a dam right down the road that looks over an absolutely MASSIVE lake surrounded by cliffs. If your staying in the Poconos I’d definitely recommend checking it out and Bear Creek Village also has some good places to eat and some amazing views.
I grew up in a little town called Mountainhome about 10 minutes from Mt. Pocono. I’ve been to most of these places throughout my life. My mom and I would go to Jim Thorpe and walk around all the time! Loved that little town! I moved to Virginia and miss my hometown, so watching this brought back lots of memories! Thank you!
We just came back from vacationing in this area. We visited about half of the places you mentioned. Streets were clean, we didn't see any rude city folks there. We enjoyed this area a lot. Love your video, it is very comprehensive. I can imagine it took quite a bit of time to film all these footages. You did a great job on this video and introducing this area to the world.

I had no doubt you would nail it! Looks amazing.. similar to ky where my husband is from. This video will inspire many, including myself, to travel there.
Thanks for the fabulous video of the Poconos! I am 80 and a former resident of the area. In my retirement I live in Tucson Arizona and this video is so comforting to watch when I feel a tinge of homesickness. I loved seeing old and favorite spots of mine as well as the new changes taking place. Great job!
I was born in the Poconos, my parents moved there in the mid 80’s. I live in Florida now but still visit most years. This video gave me good memories and showed me how much has changed, even some places I never visited, thanks for the clip - I’ll be sure to check some of this stuff out next time I’m up!
Happy to see my hometown area receiving some love. Great video, showed me some things I didn't even know we had up here after living here my whole life
Excellent overview of points of interest in PA. Born and raised there! Lived about 1 1/2 hours from Tannersville. Skied Camelback every winter for 30+ years. Retired to SC now enjoying Myrtle Beach area, your other great video. Keep up the great work - awesome.
Very informative video! I'd like to mention that the Pocono Indian Museum has an excellent and thorough narrated tour via an audio device that really brings the quick tour to life. Also, the second floor of the gift shop contains an excellent bookstore. It's so well organized and has an amazing array of books on Indian history. I could've spent hours there!
That tube ride looked to be the longest one ever. Such a beautiful place. Been thinking about going there and staying at the Kalahari. Great video as usual.
That was Phenomenal, Randy! So glad you and Bella got to enjoy! All these years living right next to Pennsylvania, and I didn't take advantage of it until recently. I really love Jim Thorpe, and I am very much looking forward to doing the bike trail next time I go up that way, so thanks for that advice. And I also forgot about Bushkill Falls, that's another bucket list must do for this summer! Really wish I would have known that ahead of time that you guys going to be up there, I would have loved to meet you! But I'll get down to Florida in the next few years for sure! Still going to be relocating down there... eventually...
Great video. I used to volunteer at Quiet Valley Farm back when I was teenager when they had their festival. I used to help run the apple cider press, and do some home made ice cream churing . Both done by hand. It was alsways a good time back in the late 80s.
Brother, I regularly watch your videos from Bangladesh. Your videos are awesome. There are many travel travel videos available on youtube but I haven't found any like yours. Your videos are the best. You go ahead.
Great video! So much good information and you spoke about all the right things that made it easy to sit and watch the entire video like it was a good movie. I’m local to the area but learned a lot about some nearby spots. Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Very informative and joyful video. My family has a second home in Stroudsburg that we regularly go to from Brooklyn. Many places we were familiar with, and I appreciate you featuring and others were new to me. I am excited to explore the sites you highlighted. Thank you for sharing.
Such an awesome job, did I already say that? You should do a summer fall winter edition and also features some of the off the beaten path air B&B or Glamping sites. There’s some really cool nature trails end real gems hidden beyond the tourist sites. Tour the Tannersville Cranberry bog or the Blueberry Bog at Hawthorne Hill. This was the best Pocono video I’ve seen.
Thank you for the video, I am fortunate enough to be living in the area, nice secluded area of North Pocono, next to Pinchot State Forest. Trully bless.
Randy, Video was awesome!! It would be great if you get to film the Northern Poconos up around Lake Wallenpaupack, the man made lake by Pennsylvania Power and Light back in the 1920s (I think) along with its adjacent quaint cities such as Hamlin, Honesdale, and Hawley, just to name a few.
Yep I was aware of Lake Wallenpaupack, even thought about purchasing some stock footage just to mention that Lake. It was just it was so far from where I was at, and something would of had to bee sacrificed on the video.
Hocking hills is very beautiful too, don’t know if you’ve been there, but not all the water park and shops etc. the land in the poconos is amazing.. never been there.
There was a large model railroad layout worth visiting in a building next to the train station until a few years ago. I've not been able to find any info on its fate. Even though it's private, Bushkill Falls is worth the cost and the money is well-spent maintaining the trails. Great video!
Hi, 👋 first time on your page. I have never been to PA; thanks for sharing all the beauty, details, places, and locations. I enjoyed your video very professionally and liked all the places shown so peaceful to extraordinary outdoor experiences, cute 🐕

You have a very beautiful country finally the USA is a contiment not a country it is so big. Finally, soon I will realize my dream and visit the great American West in September.

I have lived here in the Poconos for over 30 years and there are a tons of stuff and nature you can take in completely FREE. In this video he is showing a lot of the tourist spots that cost lots of money. If you really like waterfalls the place to go in the Poconos to hike through 22 Amazing Waterfalls is Ricketts Glen State Park! Absolutely FREE! You can also camp there and there is a beautiful lake. There are many amazing State Parks in the Poconos that are absolutely Free to visit and spend the day. I live right around the corner from Tobyhanna State Park! A great place to go camping, swimming with beach, boating, hiking or just to spend the day.
I’m guessing the “only two days advanced notice” was you saw there was ideal weather? Anyway great overview of a mostly under the radar terrific part of the country and certainly the northeast USA.
Foodtown is not the only supermarket on 209. You have to pass Pricechopper to get to 80. Resica falls is a smaller waterfall you need to check it out. Also check out River road scenic route parallel to 209 leading you to 80 . Lots of trails there and parks with beaches. Rte 611 have a ton of stores and a mall. Next time check out Alaska Petes on business 209 they have great food.Nice seeing my area showcased.
Thankyou for the info, yea I saw Alaska Petes and knew I would feature either them or Petrizzos. I chose Petrizzos, because it was more homemade, less corporate, run by a family.
@@TampaAerialMedia Alaska Pete's is family owned and run by Frank R. They have been around for a long time. They also have a baker on site that makes all the assorted desserts. If you are back in the area check out Bliss Cheesecake café on Business 209 near 402. They chef make everything to order. They are also very small and quaint. Thanks again for visiting my area. As a NJ transplant now a local after 18 years of living here there are still places I have not seen. You did an awesome job showing the beauty of my area and more. Looking forward to seeing your other videos.
I think you missed the Deer Head Inn in the village of Delaware Water Gap! It is the longest, continuously operating jazz club in the US. It also operates as a B&B now. But still has Jazz almost every night. We will be vacationing in East Stroudsburg this summer (from Southern California) and look forward to heading of to the inn for a night of good music.
Love your videos I always look to see if you have covered an area before we go! What is the name and artist of that song " I can't see the forest through the trees"?
Thank you sir. Very interesting and informative episode of your travel vlog series. We will be visiting that area this year and this was very helpful. We are in Jersey, a mere two hours from Stroudsburg and really need to explore up there. Looking forward to viewing many more of your videos! 👍👍👍🌞
You were in my neck of the woods!! (I'm in Easton which you mention briefly) And what an excellent video!! So much useful information. How long were you in PA? You covered so much. I just posted a day at dog friendly Bushkill Falls with my new puppy; we may have been there the same day! You reminded me of so many cool places, and showed a couple I didn't know about that I must do. I appreciate the work it took to make this documentary. Thank you! (and Bella) Peace and Prayers.

thankyou Christopher
I’m guessing the “only two days advanced notice” was you saw there was ideal weather? Anyway great overview of a mostly under the radar terrific part of the country and certainly the northeast USA.
Great job
Great video!!!
Thankyou Marcelo
Sounds like my kind of place, thanks for mentioning it
Your video's are great

Thankyou Terry
Is the Lehigh all-day train ride pet friendly?
I absolutely love visiting the Poconos - we go at least 2x a year. Great video, as always!
It is Pet-Friendly, but not on the Pullman or Parlor Cars which have food service.
Love your videos I always look to see if you have covered an area before we go! What is the name and artist of that song " I can't see the forest through the trees"?
It is "Forest Through the Trees" by Peyton Stilling available on MusicBed.com....Thankyoui for the nice words.
Nice video. I love Bushkills Falls.
Thankyou Margalo
Thank you sir. Very interesting and informative episode of your travel vlog series. We will be visiting that area this year and this was very helpful. We are in Jersey, a mere two hours from Stroudsburg and really need to explore up there. Looking forward to viewing many more of your videos! 👍👍👍🌞
Thankyou Bruce, hope you have a great time
You were in my neck of the woods!!
Thankyou Gracegarden for the nice words, great to hear from someone who lives there locally....I Was there from April 27th to May 1st.
The Poconos includes resorts, casino, entertainment & so much more known as "Las Vegas of NEPA"!✨✨✨✨✨✨
Thank you 🙏
You are welcome Maddy
