Bees do, What bees want to do!! We all try to take care of our honey bees to the best of our abilities, but most of the time the bees know best. Come watch me being taught a lesson by my honey bees..
Great video Rickey! I’m loving having one of your hives in the yard by the house. Let’s me see my bees while drinking my morning coffee! Even better the bees are loving it!
@@horizontalbees you might be surprised especially if there's a good nectar flow on. We didn't think ours would fill up last season, but as you've seen on my channel we ended up with over 30+ kgs. All the best Trickytrev 🇭🇲👍🐝🍯
Appreciate the videos. I had one of mine swarm themselves down to nearly no bees so I’ve got to go out today and reduce them down to a nuc over top a double screened board. You’re right, bees do what they do!
Exciting......drought here, and the Bee's are looking for H2O, should we put sugar or honey water out for them..ND here.....noticed they aren't pollinating, but staying by water hose etc, and searching for water instead.
I have been watching the new about how hot and dry it is out west. It would hurt to put out some sugar water for them. They are looking for fresh water to cool down there hive. Have you posted a new video of your bees?
I just read an article yesterday that said it's ok to put a slight amount of sugar in the water until they learn where it's at. It also said you can add small amounts of salt. I will try to find the article and give you the link. Hopefully I can figure out how to do it😂
You're right Rickey, bees know how to be bees. Man if you didn't build those hives like Ferraris the queens wldnt want to take road trips!😂 I hope you get a queen in that last one soon. Thanks for sharing Rickey and Happy Father's Day to you
Great video. I had a hive recently go queenless when I was expecting a super. I ended up moving the super to another hive. It is a let down when you open up a hive expecting honey and hardly find any bees in it. The trials of beekeeping I guess.
So True Ralph!! I'm hopping to understand honey bees better some day but I'm beginning to think there like women and I will never fully understand them..lol...Happy fathers day!!
Hey Tony, Yes we do make custom hives for customers. Our website is horizontalbees.com but we are not making any hives until the end of July because of wood prices are crazy right now. If we can be any service to please let us know. Have a blessed day!!

Thanks Rickey. Really jealous of the weather you've got over there!
You are welcome to come over any time and enjoy the weather.
Looking great Ricky. All the best with these long hives, can’t wait to see those flow frames in action. TrickyTrev 🇦🇺👍🐝🍯

@@horizontalbees I hope you had a great day Brother
My father in law put in an order for cut comb. So I’ll have to do some foundationless frames. I changed my channel name and logo. Bradley White 🍺🍺
Thanks Rickey. He had a big commercial outfit years ago in New Zealand. I sent him a tub of my late spring/early summer honey and he loved it.
