We took a little detour on the way from Edinburgh to check out the only other Lego Store in Scotland, in Glasgow, hunting for Pick a Brick pieces for our Lego city and hunting for hard to find and retired sets at the nearby John Lewis store.

I don’t know if someone has told you, the screen on the outside of the shop is interactive. You put your hand on the panel and it tells you which Lego mimi figure you are. 😊
If you're thinking of the everyone is awesome set with spacemen, I'm pretty sure it was a MOC using all sorts of hard to find space people, it looks amazing but I only have the last minifigure series brown spaceman with the blue spacebaby
The Lego land rover is a fantastic display piece!
Kev starting this channel has got me back into Lego, I’m s yo until teen mum, I’ve got myself some Disney Lego, and getting her into Duplo

Using plates for mils is so much more expensive. The ideal parts are 2x2 bricks.you would need at least 3 plates, maybe 4 to reach the required height for mils.
The plates go on top of the bricks
I think Diagon Alley is a must in any city build :)
It’s certainly one I’d like to add at some point, but it’s expensive when we’re not big Harry Potter fans…
@@blockpartyuk ye that’s very understandable, it’s a great looking piece though and could be used alternatively as an old shopping street like those in London and York.

When filling a box don’t dump them in and shake them build them together to the shape of the box you get more by illuminating gaps

Not on the way home to I assume is Mk is quite the understatement. I assume you drove also which means you drove about 1.5 hrs from Edinburgh to Glasgow then another 1.5 hours back to the motorway towards England then about 6 hours to MK. (My in laws live in Oxford so I do that drive multiple times a year but not via Glasgow. 😂😂😂
you guys got to learn to stack your bricks in the box, a bit time consuming but you get more in there

When you are filling pick a brick boxes with single bricks or plates, stick them together in long rows to maximise efficiency and minimise cost per piece!

I too been to lego store in Glasgow plus do thry have lego passport in stock
I’m not sure if they have the passports in stock, but they had a whole table for people to stamp their passports on, so I suspect they do
