I feel like people forget how hard it can be to perform in that sort of setting, sure there were some obvious mistakes made by the survivors but there are so many small plays that are made over the course of a match that it’s impossible not to make mistakes.

I would love to see other players that are really good at killer who don’t have a lot of comp experience go against comp swf teams! Some names that came to mind are crohmbs and Lilith omen. These guys featured in the video though were also really good! Nothing but respect 👍🙏
Lilith dabbled but never played comp. I like him as a streamer and guy, but I don't think he would hold up vs these teams, I could be wrong but the game sense for how a team operates makes a huge difference.
@@RACK-uv7mw yeah, also back when otz did a jflick vs swf showcase, he volunteered to play and got decimated by otz's test swf. That was years ago, but yeah wouldn't suprise me that he remained casual for the most part
i think the major issue for the euro match was ping, seemed like a lot of actions were happening before the wrath could react. I feel like a 2nd round on a different map would have been the major difference
Kinda sad how that comp player thought comp would be made out to be a joke simply because a Wraith did well in a comp setting. If I was a comp player I would be thrilled to hear that other killers might break into comp, so I didn't have to go against/play as Blight or Nurse every game.
Realistically, every game vs wraith should be like the third game, even at that wraiths skill level, as the reason the survivor's lost is because of mistakes (which in comp, you just can't make)
Comp plays all killers, it’s a pick and ban system so it’s VERY rare to see only S tiers played. They weren’t annoyed a wraith did well, they were annoyed that the survivor team didn’t play well
The game with wraith the killer used Nancy being dead on hook as a trap. If the survivors just doubled down to do gens there instead of even going for the save they would have had an atypical comp W
So if you can't see what Wraith is doing, at the start he takes the 5 closest Gens and patrols them, doesn't even care about the other 2, then slowly as the survivors are chipping away at the 5 gens left, he can patrol them easier cuz they're all close to each other, oppose to if he just let random gens pop. You have to control what Gens you give the survivors. Genius strat if you ask me.
The comment at the start is so true. Private matches in any game is always the best way to improve. The difference in skill in some games between pub and private lobby players is massive
Really appreciate the great commentary here. Both being very experienced DBD players, but also the format of having a dialogue with each other (questions and answers) to answer potential questions the viewers might think performed very well. Kudos!
The fact that at the highest level it has to be played in a totally different way from the avarage skill level really speaks for the state of the games balance.
@@lleyly4449well tbf fortnite was always designed for build battles its just at first people did not know how to build and as time went on people learned how to build. As a beginner, to reach a comp level, you arent learning to play a different way to fight, you are just unlocking ways to use builds. a better example is in the ranked or tournament whatever its called game modes, where at the end everyone is inside their own 1x1 and theres like 80 people in a small ass circle
aka every game ever. watch high level CSGO then watch a normal match. what separates this game is that its an Asym. theres no other Asyms to really compare. this is how 99% of killers were playing when CoB was meta. Skull merchants wraiths knights pigs ive even seen some weskers and plagues play this way
Wow holy shit what an amazing and interesting play style. Usually I find gen slow down boring but this wraith plays him so perfectly that it’s hard not to be impressed
That wraith had far less than optimal perks for the first game due to not accounting for rules and he just outplayed them. Impressive. All of them were extremely good. The bubba is not one I want to meet. DBD is fundamentally a game about decision making. Ping can make a difference, but it's rarely going to be the determining factor. Though playing from another region and effectively doubling your reaction time is pretty severe. I don't know if their ping was 200ms or what. It all looked pretty normal to me. The last team had 2 games of prep to watch. No doubt they were impressive, though.
There was no outplaying. He was playing against a full American team who had terrible ping. He had good connection. They would’ve won had they not been lagging tbh
Ping makes a major difference. I play mostly survivor and unfortunately more than a half of the killers I play against are lag switching. If I want to play killer I need to prepare myself mentally for this, because my connection is too good and therefore I miss many hits. Currently my internet provider has some issues and my latency is higher than usual and I literally get hits I could have never gotten before.
The dead dawg main is actually not very good, it only seemed that way because of the way the comp players used it to its max! Put the pro players in any other main and they would probably do even better.
The reason it’s considered so good is mainly because there’s virtually nothing else on the map. Once it’s used up, your only real option is to buy a tiny bit of time and run to main. Main on Groaning Storehouse is also decent, but it has nowhere near the reputation since there’s other options that can be better. It’s really not good unless the 3 furthest gens from it are left.
@@amateur_nft_screenshitter1498 "Not very good" ? It's one of the better mains. Like for all mains though, the survivor needs to know how to loop it or how to outplay the killer. I suppose with how insanely good some new mains are (like Garden of Joy) DDS's main seems only "meh, decent" but it's really good. Not the best one though.
@@Libellulaire i was just trying to tell this guy that the main building isn’t as “busted” as he seems to think. And beside other mains it is not very good
I love watching all of these awesome videos, Hens! I'm gonna have to watch this entire channel from the beginning. There is so much amazing content here 🙏
22:37 that wasnt a ping battle, the wraith realized he just needed to bait the start of the uncloak to get xeno to stop vaulting and start playing for distance, which gives enough hesitation to kick the pallet :3 he does it sooner the next time xeno starts to vault the pallet, if you didnt notice
Yes, as the wraith u can end this early by starting to uncloak, but him being able to break the pallet while on the same side as the surv is just a ping battle won, since no sane survivor would stop trying to vault on the same side as the killer (for situation 2)
i've played on and off since the game started and always been a wraith main. I'm not "good" by any means but it was cool to see a really good player use the body blocking strat that i've been using for so long. Great video!
Hens, I want to see your squad play against someone named KING WOLFE 2. I want to see what pro teams would do to someone that has a play style like him, would be insanely interesting and genuinely entertaining
As a Wraith main I was really not surprised that this playstyle works so well with the latest gen kick meta or health nerfs. But I'm also convinced, that the killer is still the one losing if played well by everybody. In public matches there is always someone who just wants to have fun or who is weaker or who is not on discord. In this showcase the first comp team lost because their weren't ready for this strategy and they made man small questionable decision (which Hens noticed in live commentary). The second comp team demonstrated, how to beat it with a gameplan in mind. And even public swf would beat it, because they are much more used to it and actually don't need the level of body blocking for that. Generally Wraith doesn't really need a endgame 3-gen for this, because he's fast and stealthy. This fits Bubba better. And he can't hold 3-gen against 4-man swf, because the lethality is just not enough. Nonetheless it worries me, that a basic M1 killer can get so close to force a stale mate by just gen kicking. That shows that some numbers and concepts (gen regression, healing speed) had a reason and shouldn't be messed with. Tip for survivors: try to greed pallets vs. Wraith when you're healthy. In this playstyle Wraith just wants to get pallets out of the way quickly. Don't do him this favour. Make him sweat for every hit and pallet.
I looked away when Renato stunned wraith to the wrong side of the pallet, so in my head he dumb teched and that's why they were freaking out, I had to rewind to figure why that was good :p
21:33 wtf i love how people are just like 'no even tho a non-comp killer got a 4k against a comp team is DOES NOT count as rando killers being able to beat comp teams' like, reality clearly says otherwise no matter how triggered you are
Comp players have been a fantastic source of amusement for me. One complained to my friend that she was so boring holding W all game and a coward for not looping, this was against their Artist as they sweated their nuts off in a public game with a map offering and everything. Another told me that I was abusing broken perks because we ( 4 solos to boot) managed a 3 person escape thanks to Resurgence and Prove thyself while they sat only a few meters from the hook as huntress with Deadlock, Corrupt and NWO. My favorite was some aussie comp SWF (with matching tags and all the details in their profile) who told me I was boring and not playing for fun because I got one of them in the basement as trapper wile I have trapper sack and 4ked them all at 4 gens, they said this to me with a straight face as I looked at their 4 dead hard, 4 ds (this is old ds and dh) 4 Unbreakables a map offering and an assortment of styptics and anti hemorrhagics. Suffice to say that comp players saying they don't want to be a joke is the height of irony for me.
Tbf there is a big difference between people who call themselves comp and those who actually participate in tournaments. No team I know of is going in pubs with busted items to try and win games.
@@camdenmoore4183 I checked their profiles and everything, the Huntress even had on their profiles that they were some kind of commentator and organizer. DBD "comp players" are just those kids who demanded no-one use the seeking shell in Mario Kart and then throw a wobbly when someone just wants to play the game.
@@Scarecrow-nu6jy and you’re part of the community so you’d obviously know that those players you ran into totally represent the whole of dbd comp, right?

They said they banned most of them because they were too good in chase. You can't use head on in chase (by yourself) so it makes sense that it wasn't banned for that reason. Unlike the other exhaustion perks, it requires 2 people not to be doing gens to work, so ig they thought it wasnt so important

I only played one championship match in my entire life and I still am a top tier Pinhead who can play against pros in matchmaking, I know they don’t play as they would in a championship but sometimes they do and they have all perks available
That play onto xeno from bubba was so clean, im also sticking too my idea ive had for years where we should have a 5v5 dbd mode so one swf has 4 survivors and 1 killer and so does the other and the killer from each swf goes against the other team and its kinda like a comp mode in a way
I’ve always thought there should be a rule that each player can only be the killer once in a set. So you don’t just have the same player being killer always. For that matter, play best of seven so you potentially have to have every player be a killer.
i just watched Ardethas new video about the flopp of dbd's first official turnament. watching & hearing you guys going about those games is so much fun .
Hit and run strats when they don’t work look so ridiculous “you hit Feng, she’s the only person wounded and she ran out into the open, what do you do?” “I leave of course”
Not hating but the wraith definitely seemed to rely way to much on the gen kick perks also wanted to hardcore protect that 3 gen for the survivors can make a mistake it seemed
@@Notwedsquid he said he wanted to play the game like a normal pub match, and he beat them like they were normal pub players lmao. just got elongated because they're a comp team.
@@dirky1185 why do that though that’s the weird part at most he wasted otz and hens time just kicking gens and hit an run that was just so boring to watch especially how hens even said all 3 matches lasted 30 minutes which is insane showing that to a stream but I don’t know anymore really.
@@Notwedsquid Hens did a one hour DBD game as knight. He sometimes speaks a little condescending to not-so-good killers. It's fine, almost everyone does it. And the reason is because wraith isn't a comp killer and the guy thought he could beat a comp team. And he did. If he played normal wraith and just did normal chases the game would be over and survivors would just win because of efficiency, even on the smallest map. Btw, wraith has always been a hit and run killer so his perk and add on setup makes sense for a wraith play style regardless. Do that build on pig with her charge attack add ons and it doesn't work, at all.
@@dirky1185 ok the wraith isn’t a comp player but those 2 matches proved nothing cause once the wraith went against a good comp team he lost badly that’s the only game that matters cause it shows wraith is weak agiasnt an actual good comp team plus the hour vid gens did was for an experiment to see how long he can hold the gens with knight and old eruption and call of brine and overcharge.
Last game is an average experience for me on my high mmr killers which are bad and i try to hold 3gen with (freddy, doc, plague, trapper, knight, legion etc). This lvl survivors are not rare at all, they just dont wanna mess with comp stuff. Killer made some mistakes in overgoing for one, and most crucial that he didnt bring sbfl which is a key tool for 3 gen pressure builds for pure m1 killers. He should hook in the middle of 3gen and camp the shit of it making exchanges. This video is very educational for everyone who thinks that "jUsT DO pREsSuRE" or holding 3 gen from the start will work against pro swf. It will not.
"This lvl of survivor is not rare" at all cmon man pubs aint that hard. Maybe u just need a Lil more practice. If this wraith claim of not losing in a year until this match is true then they went up against high mmr survivors and had no problems.
@@honkbrother8000 i dont believe that he didnt lose for that long time as an C tier killer ;) These ppl literally played like many of swf which i met. Also i watched many tournaments and ppl there made very bad plays and "pubs" swf can do everything perfect and play better than tournament teams. I dont like this restriction of "pub vs tournament", because nothing prevent pub swf from playing strong and efficiently, also they can abuse everything which is usually banned in comps. Ppl think they dont want to win or dont have skill to play that efficiently? Its wrong. Pub is mostly easy and chill, soloq is horrifying for survivors and ez to stomp as killer. But 1/15 pub games will be like that one from this video. Depends on mmr tho
@MrPendalv idk bout 1/15 games but yes there are some insanely strong swfs out there and at least some of them aren't tournament players. But I still feel like ur upping how often u get teams like this. I also play in high mmr and typically I get a few really good player and a few okay ones. Sometimes rarely I'll get a really strong swf that use everything but it's rare man. I also have my doubts about him going a whole year without a single loss tho. That seems a bit unrealistic. But ig it depends on what he defines as a loss?
The amount of dialogue going on in the survivor side in that last match must be longer than any entire court session. Hectic than a job as a line cook on a Friday night with 5 items on the menu that are 86’d and windows stacked. There’s no reason players should be this good.
@@andreidragomir5360 most content creators like Ayrun will run practically the same build and will play with a stacked SWF 90% of the time. i personally would like Ayrun more if he solo q'd in most of his vids.
That Twitter post is extremely childish behavior imo. Who gets salty like that over one single game and says things like "no hate" and then basically continues with "this team sucked". lmao
Twitter itself is childish, id say I agree with the post more than disagree, I'm not a comp gamer, but I do teach music, when I see people post a video that is obviously a fake performance it really upsets me, ort when someone says that a certain performance was really good but I could easily point out 10 things that any college trained player would do better, etc.. It still was a tiny bit childish, but I agree with the sentiment.
Ninny said some shit that was unnecessary asf but they were right, this wraith result is really fucking bad not supposed to happen to a comp team. People joke saying misery are just pub players is insulting as fuck to a team considered the second best NA.
My guy, if you are against a comp team in call the three-genning is the correct thing to do. Because of that every killer does the same in tornament, and is boring as fuck. Its not Wraith's fault, is the requiriment of a comp setting (Dreadge is the only killer that don't need three gen in comp).
Guaranteed. Those survivors are also some of the best killers in the game. Every one of them are beasts on the sticks. Zaka is likely the best m1 killer in the game. Xeno is friggin insane and Laser was widely considered the best nurse in the game for a time.

But is it wrong to say? was the first team even "pro" as last team dominated the killer with 4 escape
@@ps9501I don’t think using one game to try and prove a teams strengths is exactly logical.
I would love to see other players that are really good at killer who don’t have a lot of comp experience go against comp swf teams! Some names that came to mind are crohmbs and Lilith omen.
These guys featured in the video though were also really good! Nothing but respect 👍🙏
Would love a series tbh. One of the best dbd videos I've seen
Its a good idea, but im pretty sure Lilith has a comp background
Lilith dabbled but never played comp.
I like him as a streamer and guy, but I don't think he would hold up vs these teams, I could be wrong but the game sense for how a team operates makes a huge difference.
Lilith went against a comp team and got shit on so badly that he still dodges them every time they're in his lobby lmao

That First Bubba Hit 😩thx for having me it was fun!
I played against that wraith, we got destroyed but he offered us a slug race
i think the major issue for the euro match was ping, seemed like a lot of actions were happening before the wrath could react. I feel like a 2nd round on a different map would have been the major difference
the second match was low ping for everyone. the first match had laggy american survivors.
Kinda sad how that comp player thought comp would be made out to be a joke simply because a Wraith did well in a comp setting. If I was a comp player I would be thrilled to hear that other killers might break into comp, so I didn't have to go against/play as Blight or Nurse every game.
Hey hey don't forget spirit!
Realistically, every game vs wraith should be like the third game, even at that wraiths skill level, as the reason the survivor's lost is because of mistakes (which in comp, you just can't make)
@SkelXton there were mistakes on both sides in the third round tho. The chances of a full match without any mistakes is pretty unlikely. Even in comp
@@SkelXton tho tbh there were quite a few mistakes on wraith lol. I find it hard to believe his the best we could get.
Altruism is a bad thing sometimes
So if you can't see what Wraith is doing, at the start he takes the 5 closest Gens and patrols them, doesn't even care about the other 2, then slowly as the survivors are chipping away at the 5 gens left, he can patrol them easier cuz they're all close to each other, oppose to if he just let random gens pop. You have to control what Gens you give the survivors. Genius strat if you ask me.

The comment at the start is so true. Private matches in any game is always the best way to improve. The difference in skill in some games between pub and private lobby players is massive
You guys have got to make a series out of this inviting every killer main against a swf team with you and toz commenting
Like... In every game, like the dog walk in modern warfare or Fortnite with long ass houses for a 20 damage
That applies for pretty much every game that has a competitive and casual scene
Skull merchants wraiths knights pigs ive even seen some weskers and plagues play this way
@@DeputyFishyeah every asym is basically dead , maybe tcm will be a good dbd competitor
Wow holy shit what an amazing and interesting play style. Usually I find gen slow down boring but this wraith plays him so perfectly that it’s hard not to be impressed
TWO Hens vids in 12 hours? LETS GO!
Dead dog made it abit easier for him imo, hit and run strat works wonders on such a small map
Still don't understand how the silent bell wouldn't have helped.
Watching das play opened my third eye.
To me this is just a showcase of how strong 3 gens are, and how busted the dead dawg main is lmao
It's really hard to make a killer run it, though. In pubs, you will get away with abandoning all chases in main on Dead Dawg.
@@amateur_nft_screenshitter1498
"Not very good" ? It's one of the better mains. Like for all mains though, the survivor needs to know how to loop it or how to outplay the killer.
I suppose with how insanely good some new mains are (like Garden of Joy) DDS's main seems only "meh, decent" but it's really good. Not the best one though.
@@Libellulaire i was just trying to tell this guy that the main building isn’t as “busted” as he seems to think. And beside other mains it is not very good

i dont play this game but the commentary is very engaging and it helps keep me interested. good vid
22:37 that wasnt a ping battle, the wraith realized he just needed to bait the start of the uncloak to get xeno to stop vaulting and start playing for distance, which gives enough hesitation to kick the pallet :3
he does it sooner the next time xeno starts to vault the pallet, if you didnt notice
Yes, as the wraith u can end this early by starting to uncloak, but him being able to break the pallet while on the same side as the surv is just a ping battle won, since no sane survivor would stop trying to vault on the same side as the killer (for situation 2)
pov: he’s streaming right now as this uploaded and you clicked on the vid
Otz reaction is killing me 19:13
Lmao same
Damn dude the comp players also have comp entitlement, that's nutty.
What’s the point of this comment
😂 what
I think being really good at gen rushing and doing gens in under 5 minutes and being good at looping killers are very different things.
the windup after the whiff on Nancy was amazing
i've played on and off since the game started and always been a wraith main. I'm not "good" by any means but it was cool to see a really good player use the body blocking strat that i've been using for so long. Great video!
.... This is pretty common especially since the base kit speed increase while cloaked
@@DarthRane113 Can't a man be happy to see something ?

These guys have so much patience

Otz's instant reaction to blast mine followed by his stunned silence... killer confirmed 😂

The Euro team used an exhaustion perk, thought they said no exhaustion perks
They said they banned most of them because they were too good in chase. You can't use head on in chase (by yourself) so it makes sense that it wasn't banned for that reason. Unlike the other exhaustion perks, it requires 2 people not to be doing gens to work, so ig they thought it wasnt so important
These are the survivors I get in my games as Killer

This video was uploaded 10 sec ago and it was already on my homepage lol
That wraith was playing gen kick simulator so hard
That isnt otz its just a very convincing doppleganger.
Dragons grip might’ve helped that wraith a little
i just watched Ardethas new video about the flopp of dbd's first official turnament. watching & hearing you guys going about those games is so much fun .
Why on earth did the wraith never hook a single soul he should have just kept chasing for the down
“TIMMY TURNER, YOU HAVE BROKEN DA RULES”
its a shame how much ping really does alter the gamestate and pallets.

I also have my doubts about him going a whole year without a single loss tho. That seems a bit unrealistic. But ig it depends on what he defines as a loss?
Players that have mained the same killer for years are a different breed.
The amount of dialogue going on in the survivor side in that last match must be longer than any entire court session. Hectic than a job as a line cook on a Friday night with 5 items on the menu that are 86’d and windows stacked. There’s no reason players should be this good.
