#77 Ledger Recover explained

We’re excited to launch Ledger Recover, provided by Coincover, that aims to lower the barrier of entry to self-custody by allowing our users to creating a secure backup for their Secret Recovery Phrase ready whenever you need it, so they can stop worrying about getting locked out of their own wallet.

the real concern of ledger customers is that this means that there s a backdoor to our seed phrase!! u had to create another product specifically for this service in my honest opinion!!

If the Recover system can request the seed from your Nano, then surely there will be a way for a bad actor to request your seed . This is the main concern.

After firmware update I lost my apps on the nano x and can't restore. You got to fix asap and make sure you make it known to your customers before you make decisions

Hello. Why do I need the ledger recover if I have to keep stored on paper the seed phrase ?
if I delete the seed phrase I am dependent on ledger recover... What if I can no longer pay the recover ledger?

Hey Estelio, Ledger Recover is an optional subscription service that provides an additional layer of security by backing up your 24-word recovery phrase. It's designed to be a safety net in case you lose your written recovery phrase. However, it's not a replacement for your physical backup. You should always keep your 24-word recovery phrase stored securely on paper.

@@Ledgerwhat exactly is being in stalled on the ledger if I update the firmware. The concern is that you have created a backdoor for my seed phrase to leave the device, something we were promised could never happen.
How can you guarantee that this does not happen under ANY circumstances?

No your key, no your crypto. Now ledger has my key, no my crypto. Thanks ledger, I will use other cold wallet to save my crypto. So suck bro, I feel my seed phrase is unsafe situation. I have to start to create my new seed phrase again. 😢

My Crpto can’t be recovered inspite of seed pharse. And the customer support is garbage
