He had to accept the pay check…
It's only a matter of time before Apple builds crypto into their Wallet
Agree, they thought of have it implemented with the biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID, …) already and just would need to expand on this.
What a great impression of Steve Jobs that was
! 👏👏👏If only he had gone to do the casting before Ashton!
Much better than my Nano X by the looks of it
Looks really great! So much more intuitive that the current ledger products! Looking forward to it
No es impresentable.
Looks like a person from Apple made the commercial as well. Looks awesome
April 1st came early / late this year.
This stax is straight fire. I'm getting one.
Looks sleek but lets see how the battery works first - I just returned my second Nano X due to a defective battery (turned it on straight out of the box and the battery percentage was draining like it was a countdown timer, exactly like my first one did) am now going for an S Plus instead.
It is eink display, so month’s battery life
You can always still use it by keeping it plugged in.
Looks like the descent cold wallet, minus the biometric scanner -_-
It looks so great 😍
Lo amo pero tiene una novia marroquí que vive en noruega debe ser intenso tony😮
I’m in wait list!!! For long long time!!
Why do people talk about "new" technology like they just cured cancer?
😂 de acuerdo ❤
,😂 siempre creí que le dan a la tecnología una importancia que realmente no lo tiene. Soy de derecha pero no deja de ser un objeto capitalista 😢
does it show balances?
I think if you want to promote digital asset you should only accept digital currency payment to purchase this wallet
You can buy it with eth if u want
@@kushrajpurohit8125 would be better in usdc, usdt or bitcoin. Eth transaction costs are not for everyone (at least me).
@@tlufo eth is crazy but bitcoin isn't the answer either. Costly and sloooooow. Something like Polygon is better. Transactions in seconds and fractions of a cent in gas
@@Kingme3144
USDT is almost in many things so sure. I generally use it via ETH which is fair. But even over TRON it's very instant in my experiences. I hold a lot of it in UDST in eth network however
@@tlufo After the merge, the cost is much cheaper. It can go lower than 100 gwei. Check it out.
Just got my Nano X. I will love to have the Stax if it supports more apps/ alt coins, and have more storage space. Maybe it’s too early for my needs.
Especially Quant & XDC in my case
Idk if i trust them unfortunately. Time will tell.
@@journeytothevoid2899crazy how you mentioned this 6 months ago before all this update they announced
I still have my preorder placed. I never canceled mine and I cant wait for this thing. It's been torture waiting.
Any chance I can get a Bitcoin only firmware?
This would be great for psbt signing.
looks cool and all but is it more secure than the nano and x????
have we seen a working prototype? cause his didn’t do anything on stage and all the videos are renders
He is just like Musk.... vapor ware.
@@a-borgia4993 at least musk shows something working and not a verizon store dummy model
@@corbinduncan1272 yeah musk doesn’t deliver on schedule but that won’t matter much a decade now when he’s like a trillionaire and most of his companies have delivered products/services around the globe. 😂
@@corbinduncan1272 Elon is all hype i stopped following him for that reason. I believe him or anyone until I see a product on the streets
I’m curious to understand more of the lifestyle around it. Like can I use it to buy stuff with? What happens if it breaks or I lose it? But with FTX collapsing a really nice physical wallet would for crypto be nice.
Exactly, he didn't explain none of it.
You're on the right track! Yes you can use the ledger with a phone or computer to transact with coins. Having a Ledger wallet and your coins in your Ledger wallet means only you have access to your crypto. And if it breaks or is lost, you have a back up "secret phrase/passcodes" that you can recover your wallet from.
Hardware wallets are just normal wallets that can only be accessed with the physical device - if you have any experience with your own hot wallets then your experience shouldn't change *that* drastically, the wallet can be restored via the 24 word backup phrase (similar to most software wallets)
They told Q1 of 2023 but it’s already Q4 of 2023- it’s still not available. What’s going on
still trying to figure out if its hackable or not!
sooo coool!!!!!
Feels a lot like Jobs
What crypto does it accept?
One thing he said that was important not a single ledger have been hack. Thanks im getting my ledger today
WHY THE AUDIO IS SO LOW ??
So Apple tech guys won't hear what he is saying! LMAO
This is cool, ill get one!
The art of selling
steve it's back
No ledger been hacked, how about customers email addresses ?.
That was a data leak, not related to ledger system.
That part
No ledger hw devices has ever been hacked. Ledger as the central entity, the company, clearly failed with their own security though.
@@UmaPessoaQualquer9 emails where not linked to customers wlts? Ho many of them had been compromised? You can call it as you wish
What watch he is wearing? Look nice.
Every financial goal requires patience, dedication and consistent spirit knowing that investment is currently the most lucrative business in the world, both NFT, real estate and Crypto shares are really positively changing people's lives.
I'm thinking of investing in the crypto market but taking my time to figure out how the whole thing works.
Investing in crypto is very volatile and risky which is why most successful investors trade with professional brokers
The real risk in the Crypto market is the risk of not investing, not the risk of short term price volatility.
I have been investing in crypto but have had a bumpy ride. How can I reach your broker? I will appreciate any tip or pointers
I once tried trading myself but made more losses than profits. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone
We’re still early 💎 How people were underwhelmed shows that people just don’t understand yet
He had to start a hard false laugh himself for the audience to get the point. ;)
Awesome 🤓
Ledger has been compromised. Ellipal Titan has never been hacked.
Might be a good upgrade from my S.
Ledger databases were hacked a few years ago and customer data was leaked. So maybe he should take that comment back.
Why no sound?
Can’t hear anything. Almost mute audio.
Dude giving off major Gavin belson vibes.
So what is ledger???
Are we forgetting about the ledger blue?
Please share this: What they don’t tell you when you buy a hardware wallet is that your crypto can be confiscated and frozen completely and arbitrarily whenever you try to trade between coins. I had 20k stolen by their service provider “changely”. It’s a complete scam, and they don’t tell you their “terms and conditions” until they steal your money
Terra, FTX.
Who's next?
It is 2023 already and they cant make a coloured version? why is it black and white!? O_o
Battery life. There's no reason to have color, it's just to read transactions and approve them. Only thing that would be negative is showing nfts in Grayscale.
I'm sure it will change your life too buddy, getting a percentage of each sale. ;)
Hmmm. It’s good they went with e-ink instead
No sound!!!
An excellent job on name dropping but Tony Fadell is no Steve Jobs! Keep trying! 😂
Bigger screen, bigger electric system=more problem. Bad way. 🤔
Reveal at 6:20
bro acting like everyone just stopped using mp3 players or their phones to play music after ipod was released lol
Do a follow up, they were supposed to be delivered by now…noting.
I wish it was color screen
Battery!
Yup & that is what they want to hear from you ppl so they can design another one with color & charge you again.
Come on its 2023 soon & they are still doing this greedy bs mindset to suck ppls money. They can definitely do a patch to add color & reduce brightness etc to save battery etc but they won't because they have a agenda to max sales.
@@solonepeon5805 I’m not buying one haha
The next one
I need this 🥺🥺
Why man
@@kushrajpurohit8125 Just because how cute this device is 🤓
@@UmarUsman valid reason man
wow

Good job but I know how it could be 10 times better and cheaper. Ill pass for now but won't discourage anyone from purchasing this for there bitcoin.
All you need is one button thats extremely satisfying feel and sound
Volume too low
It's freaking 2022 and almost 2023 and it's not in color!?!?!?!?! And the cost!!!
This looks like a parody of a tech unveil
Fix the audio, this video is way too quiet.
keep it quiet. Load up on the assets ;)
Whats wrong with the Audio?
You show them a thing, woohooo clap clap.
Creepy has every other tech announcement
$300 is too steep. They shouldn't be a Lenny over 150
I want it, eventhough I dont need it! :D
Almost cried watching this 😍
Internet funny money
Let’s create a phone app and use all it security’s it’s the same
Honestly, my guy Tony tried too hard to be Steve Jobs. He did the narrative build up and the history lesson. Even did the product unveiling by taking it from his pocket.
But the actual product, while cool, wasn't revolutionary or mind blowing.
was thinking the same thing
Well spotted! ;)
Dude came out acting like he's a creative genius and God's gift to modern design, only to turn in a piece of 21st century Garbaggio 🙄😒
For $280? Price would be better around $200. Now Samsung it's going to one for cheaper.
Why would you carry around that much money. And let anyone know you have some coin.
$280 for a gray scale screen lol
And why an app on your phone can’t do that? Don’t give me security jargon, cause we currently trust them with our bank accounts and every valuable info.
Cuz some people DON'T trust their phone with all their valuable info
There are hundreds of apps that can do this, but none of them are cold wallets
The whole point of a cold wallet is not having your private keys in a device that can access the internet/be hacked
No app on your current phone would be as secure as a hardware wallet. However, I can promise you that within 5 years that all new smart phones will be redesigned to incorporate a hardware wallet physically in the device as the base technology of the device. The phone functions will be layered on top of the wallet. Ledger Stax looks like a precursor of the the merging of hardware wallets and smart phones.
Bank accounts are insured up to a certain dollar amount, crypto isn't at all unless you give your information to a centralized exchange. That's the premise of defi, no middle man and privacy but you're responsible for your own security. If somebody hacks your crypto on a defi platform there is no getting it back. If somebody hacks your bank account or an email etc you can regain control of it because the middle man still essentially owns it.
He knows what's about to happen
What? The fact that this might not sell well because it’s basically another phone 😂. I think it just might be before it’s time honestly. If crypto is the future I think this wallet is a little before it’s time.
@@-TheMaskedMan- it’s not before it’s time, it’s just an unnecessarily extra gadget to carry around. It would be more revolutionary if it was integrated into the mobile phone, contrary to what they say
Crypto has begun gaining adoption, it'll be interesting to see where it is in a few years
More speculation.
A lot of crypto doesn’t have use case but the ones that do that are working with central banks and Fortune 500 companies designing CBDCs, remittances, implementing blockchain, and cross border payments and other stuff will come upon us!!! No stopping it.
Polygon laid a crazy adoption foundation last year. The future will be interesting
*this year*
NFTs without color, come on man.
This is pretty awesome
But
$300 for any wallet is a little......????
well im sure its not targeted to people who think 300 is expensive
300$ or free on exchange? you choose, exchanges s..k since 2014, prove me wrong.
$300 is a small price to pay when you have tens of thousands of dollars worth of crypto. Would rather buy that than leave it in an exchange and potentially have nothing If the exchange goes bankrupt.
Will Apple be tracking us through it?
hahahahahaahhahah
buy Quant
Hey look we designed a wallet with no color because we are going to be greedy & make another upgrade that has color so we can charge you again because that is what you like.
Customer: Hey why don't you do a firmware update to add color?...
Big Sad
wtf did i just watch?
Vaperware
RIP COIN
I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
Investing in stocks and crypto is a good idea, a good trading system would put you through many days of success.
It is possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
Having monitored my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $370k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market.
@@wilsonbrown8993 Interesting, I have a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, I wanna get something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, how do you achieve this?
@@anthonysam9391 Exactly, the trick is to diversify your investment, don't panic when everyone else is and invest consistently.
This won’t get a new flock of people onboard. I am sorry, nothing against the guy but the iPod didn’t kill the mp3 players single-handedly, you forgot the iTunes Store.
I cant hear squat
"Ledger has never been hacked"....FALSE
This sounds like a bad idea
stax no stock
You can just skip the first two minutes of blah blah blah. He saw an opportunity to make huge bags of cash. That’s all.
I like it, but I feel like there’s one aspect they didn’t talk about. Fragility. Hardware wallets aren’t windows into a digital world, the currency is on the device. A fragile wrap around screen, etc. Is it ideal for holding hundreds, thousands, all my money? It needs to be bulletproof and findable.
@Donovan Jones well I’ll be damned. So it’s not as much a hardware wallet as a hardware key memerizer majig..
Basically yes. Your browser/mobile/desktop wallet can easily be hacked if a malicious someone get access to your devices. Cold wallet can technically be hack (at least some of them) buuuuut good luck with that. One thing that they share with all the other wallet is that you have a recovery seed in case you loose them . That has to be kept away from harm somewhere really safe.
First
Look up Neko Vault! Much better. The most advanced cold wallet on the market. Will out do this in security features and looks. It has a sweet 5.5" HD "COLORED" touch screen unlike this... smh 🤦♂️ Much better to view your NFTs in color lol. You can Pre-order it now. I believe it's shipping in a monthish, so excited for it's launch ❤️😊
You should check out the keystone wallet
@@RoolSkool I don't mean to knock it... but it doesn't even come close to Neko Vault. Keystone only holds 1,000 tokens and isn't HD. Neko holds over 450,000 different tokens which is insane 😳
@@MikeHobbiton serious question do you need that much coins? So they're only supporting 7 coins/Blockchains. Coin market cap has 21k coins/tokens listed where did they get 450k. Also the keystone is 100% air gapped. Integrated with 15 wallets. Supports 5500 plus coins/tokens. You can actually buy it right now. They also have a lot of info on their site about the device.
@@RoolSkool I do. I invest in a lot of new small cap tokens. Especially presales. I already bought my Neko Vault. Will be receiving it in 3ish weeks
@@RoolSkool also it is TRUE DeFi. The soft wallet "NekoMask" that the Vault runs on gives back to the holders of the token. All the transaction fees in the swap goes to the staking pool huge passive income.
Gotta love how Ledger was the coolest company but then they shot themselves in the foot and became the biggest joke in crypto
