- Do you want your Minecraft 1.20 to look way better with shaders and mods? Well, in this video I'll provide a tutorial for installing them and I'll also show my personal settings for the shaders to get them looking incredible.

I was unaware, but take care when downloading from Curseforge as viruses have apparently taken over the site. I personally downloaded the mods from all those links with no issues, but I changed all the links to modrinth ones anyways (except Jerm's Better Leaves as I can't find it elsewhere, so take care with that one).

These are absolutely beautiful! I turned the outline thickness down a bit but that was the only minute change I had to make across all of these super fine-tuned settings. Overall, a crisp and and warm world, exactly what I was looking for. The water in particular is gorgeous.

Could you make an updated video on your Shader settings for the new 1.20.2 release? Iris and Sodium finally updated for it... but they changed a lot of the settings, and now over half the settings you've recommended are just gone and no longer an option. I've been futzing around with the settings myself for over an hour now trying to recreate the settings that you recommended from this video, and I'm struggling a bit. Would love your input on the matter, if you've even started exploring the newly updated versions of Iris and Sodium yet. :)

If you download the version of the shader pack he uses, you have access to all of those settings. He uses version 4.7.2. Click the link in the desc. There should be a menu to the right with tabs titled Description, Gallery, Catalog, and Versions. Click on versions then download the release titled 4.7.2.

@@muffinsrcool I think you missed the point of my comment… version 4.7.2 is for 1.20.1 and I asked him to make an updated video for version 5.0.1, which is for 1.20.2. I originally did follow all his settings using the correct version, but those options are no longer available in the update for 1.20.2. Hence my comment.

thank you i would never had finally tried minecraft mods without a nice video like this. (though the Continuity file download makes the game crash , thanks to someone in the comments who found out ) but right now my game looks perfect with some tweaks. all good !
you should try complementary reimagined, it has a lot more features and looks a bit better with those on and it has all the features from before without looking too much different for a big performance difference

I can confirm that on my PC (i5-10400F, 16GB, GTX 1660 SUPER) using the ATM9 modpack, 16 chunks and with these shaders I have between 60-80 fps (obviously with many optimizations and micro-optimizations, some that I already had up to my own OS).
MC performance mods are essential, otherwise forget it.

Have you tried the new Complementary 5.0.1? It's very different, I'm not sure if I like it, but it's a lot more streamlined with their other shaders at the cost of less customisability - maybe I'm just not finding the right settings...

No clue what my fps is but I’m so happy I can run this on a visibly satisfying rate, I just want at least 60 or around and I think I’m getting that, hopefully it doesn’t drop in certain biomes or when raining and stuff

Thx so much for this! I'm pretty sure i made a mistake tho, I noticed some the ores have this great glow now, but the copper ore blocks are really "exaggerated"; anyone have an idea how to adjust or what i might have done wrong?
Really enjoying playing with these settings, although I have an issue: when I have both integrated PBR and the resource packs enabled, there are some weird artifacts with some blocks. Dirt is really shiny from the side and there are white lines running across. Anyone able to give some advice?

Is Complementary v4 still on Modrinth? I am only seeing Complementary Reimagined and Complementary Unbound.
Can you just link the exported shader settings it's better. It's a Iris functionnality

how did you dodge the viruses that have been plaguing curseforge and other modding websites or does it not bother with fabric mods?
modrinth is safe but still be careful when installing mods
also it only applies to some of the mods
Oh wow, I didn't know that was an issue! I've changed all the links to modrinth except Jerm's better leaves as I couldn't find that elsewhere. Personally I downloaded the mods from all those links with no issues whatsoever, but I changed them anyway just to be safe.
How do you get the Ores to shine in caves? I followed along but my ores don't sparkle or anything
Not a huge deal but I thought it made caves look really nice.
Emissive glow is on and I even turned it up and no change.
It looks really cool but my Minecraft says it has a player safety problem how would you fix it?

So this original complimentary shaders doesn’t exist anymore and has been replaced by Complimentary Unbound/Reimagined. All the settings are different and arguably worse. Could you make a guide on it please?

Hi, i have a question. Is there any mod that allows to play with glowing textures (glowing ores for example) using sodium mod? Only Optifine can do this but I'm wondering is there any mod for sodium.
Dynamic lights mod for fabric. Also CIT is custom item texturex for texture packs, cem for custom entity models, indium and continuty for the connected textures

Hey disruptivebuilds do you know why it keeps saying "Replace mod 'Fabric API' (fabric-api) 0.90.1+20.3 with any version that is compatible with: minecraft 1.20.2" even though I downloaded the most recent version?
small issue and i think others might have it also, fps capped at 30 ONLY on fabric installer. fps is set to unlimited and vsync off. i have a pretty high end pc, rtx 3050 ect. does anyone know how to fix it? so far i have only added iris, fabric api and sodium. i have managed to do it last time with disruptives older tutorial and i am using the same versions of everything. the only difference is im running windows 11. Please could somebody help?

it works is not the first time i put shaders but something is wrong with the anvil is made out of water. if somebody knows how to fix it pls let me know. thanks
edit also the dirt is too shiny for some reason and only half of the block it is, and i don't thinks is the shader bc my old shadres do the same thing maybe is bc of the games ver that has bugs but pls let me know if someone knows how to fix it.
