This is more like a COD clone than the Battlefield, there has to be Cod developers on the team, the gunplay, sfx, scope shader they're all are exactly like the COD
I personally don't feel that it plays like COD at all, but I haven't played the last couple of CODS so I'm not the best person to ask haha. It does feel like Battlefield in many ways though
This is similar to Battlefield 2042 but without a lot of the things that make 2042 a terrible game. Yes it still has one of the worst bits.. the operators lol but they feel a little more at home in this game as it's more of an arcade shooter, so it actually works well. Short of the destruction not being in, this game runs better, flows better, doesn't have ridiculous abilities such as the wing suits or one hit kill throwing knives, has double the amount of guns on launch, has much better weapon customization AND it's free to play. What's not to like :) I'd play this over 2042 any day. However, I'd still play most of the older BF games over this. Personally, I'm really enjoying it and will for sure be playing it a lot whilst waiting the next BF game. But that's just me :) if it's not for you, it's not for you.
@@GFAPlaysfair assessment. I guess the biggest thing I focus on still is operators and some of the UI elements where this is such a similar game. I guess I focus a lot more on 2042 wasn’t battlefield itself 😂. So hopefully battlefield goes back to its old ways. But yeah I get the feel of we need something while we await the hopefully battlefield messiah. I want to play this to see how it feels as itself. I’m just trying to divorce it away from battlefield because 2042 I try to divorce from battlefield too.
@@nibblefritz For sure buddy, I really hope we have a good old school Battlefield game like they used to make and not whatever 2042 was XD 100%, this is by no means on the same level as a polished BF game, that's for sure. But it's just enough to be really fun without taking itself too seriously AND has very nice feeling gun play. If you liked BF4, I think you'll enjoy how this plays :)

The M16 burst fire thing is twofold. M16s are nearly all A2s or A4s, especially in US service, which are three round burst. Automatic M16s are usually related in popular culture to the A1 and the Vietnam War it was popularized by, and the somewhat less popular, though more modern, A3 featured prominently in BF3. But it is also a game design thing. Keeps it feeling different from the usual M4/derived designs, since translating the differences between the two IRL is very hard to do in a video game, where there is no point in having two functionally identical guns.

It for sure gives me no reason to play 2042 anymore 🤣 Of course if the next BF game finally lives up to the older ones, we’ll have a great game on our hands. We’ll see. I’ll be playing this until then though for sure!

I only played the one match in the video but I got in a vehicle near the end and there was a tank in there a few times too. I’d say it takes over as a go to FPS from the lacklustre 2042 for sure. There will be various flying vehicles so it will absolutely have the BF feeling on release. I’d say it’ll feel like playing BF4 or BF3 again which is very much so welcomed IMO :) the only thing missing from it right now I can see is destruction and levolution.
I’d say they’ve all been really good to be fair other than 2042. Going back and playing 1 and 5 and then BF4, they’re all fantastic. Bad company 2 is the GOAT though. Wish they’d make another one
