I appreciate the effort to share these gorgeous works from the Baroque stage. However, abridging, or actually, in this case, breezing through the first few measures of the many arias you posted to please listeners but also save us time?--feels unsettling. Nothing in Handel is interminably long, like Bruckner or Wagner, who in my opinion might justifiably pulled off the chaotic stage of UA-cam musical offerings. But when it comes to Handel or Holst, Purcell or Prokofiev, Mozart, Mahler, Brahms or Barber, the scale of generative intelligence is far too broad and deep for a top-ten, radio-style count-down. (I love those countdowns, too! Especially if Steely Dan or Santana are in.) If we're going to share a heavenly Handel aria, let's allow genius his due, not just a minute or two, like squeezing sound waves from heaven to half-time minute seven for Janet Jackson to drop her braria.
TL;DR "I'm offended that you didn't show the full videos." I'm sorry, but are you doing alright over there? This is possibly the weirdest/most random rant I've ever seen on the classical side of UA-cam. You could have just said, "I would have preferred to see the entire performances," but you gave us a full essay on composers celestially telegraphing across centuries. A+ for you, really putting that college degree(s) to work. Reminds me of some of the word salad papers I've written when I'm trying to hit the required amount of words. 😂

I do still think serious music isn't very amenable to abbreviations. That often works well for film clips or book passages, but not so much for gorgeous music; I think then it becomes jarring.
