Schreier, who was an "interesting" interpet unfortunately destroyed with his constricted tone production the idea of effortless singing. Their passaggio is more a counter tenor. If you ask a German tenor student about the meaning of passaggio, many of them never heard this word. Other would say that passaggio is "too artificial" and against the the natural singing... viel Spaß on the opera stage.😜 To hear the old singers with Bach is a real pleasure, thanks to UA-cam were they are still alive.
