    Juan, many thanks for this video, just what i had been looking for, I was looking for good Bach arias to learn as a hobby tenor! Such a good choice!

    interesting compilation. Three of these tenors were belongs to the greatest tenors of the 20 th century, Wunderlich, Gedda and Ariza (i hope he is well, but not sure if is still singing in public).
    All three were able to sing almost everything for tenor, what the music history offered. Ariza even sang Wagner.
    Laubentaler and Young were also first class Bach tenors. I missing Aldo Baldin, who an extraordinary Bach singer, the last real great.
    Schreier, who was an "interesting" interpet unfortunately destroyed with his constricted tone production the idea of effortless singing. Their passaggio is more a counter tenor. If you ask a German tenor student about the meaning of passaggio, many of them never heard this word. Other would say that passaggio is "too artificial" and against the the natural singing...
