She was born into Scientology, she will lose her family if she leaves. Once you're into Scientology they know everything about you and will even threat you if you try to leave. She's literally a victim of a cult since she was born, that's sad.
I understand that people in cults don’t know they are in cults (specially if she was born into it). But it still surprises me that working on a show like Handmaid’s Tale, and being a very inteligent and preparated actor, she doesn’t find a resemblance or that it doesn’t ring a bell to her about the dangers of obsession with religion…
She most likely wouldn’t be able to talk to or see her family if she tried to leave. Also the church of scientology would prob harass her for for the rest of her life. It’s not so easy to leave a cult, especially one you are born into.
I just don't understand how Moss can play a character in the handmaid's tale as the underdog and still participate in Scientology. She definitely is in denial.
I think she can play so well in Handmaid's tale is because of her being in Scientology. I'm NOT for Scientology I think it's a cult and is dangerous. But maybe you need to be a bit "wacky" in the head to be able to play a roll just the one she plays in "June" so good. I wasn't aware she was in Scientology until recently and was surprised and disappointed. But she's a very good actress, at least in Handmaid's tale. Just a thought...
I was once a bible-thumper. I find it ironic when people try to tell me that college brainwashed me, because I'm actually not the one who's brainwashed anymore. I don't judge people for being religious, but I will criticize them for attacking those who question religion itself.
Vapor King there is nothing after death. We are organic matter that will become one with earth. Telling yourself otherwise to feel better doesn't change the reality, so yeah, accept our unity with mother earth and dispense with the book. There are many books. There is one earth

I’ve never been more disappointed to hear about a person being involved in Scientology than I am about Moss. This is the first I’ve heard of it and I’m kinda heart broken. 🥺😞💔
Leah Remini's acceptance speech was a speech that Elizabeth Moss, who took an advocacy position with Handmaid's Tale for feminism and non-suppression of speech, really needed to hear.
Scientology is sue-happy. That's what they do. They got their status as a religion legally recognized through strong-arming tactics. They will sue any agency they can that doesn't describe them as a religion
I’m kinda disappointed in her, she has been an activist for women’s rights but when it matters most she is supporting an organization riddled with abuse like come on you can’t have you cake an eat it too
I always wondered why an incredible woman like Elisabeth Moss who is wise, strong, intelligent and beautiful is in such a blatantly obvious cult? They may have some great aspects but surely the bad outweighs the good? Kirstie Alley attributes her sobriety to Scientology which is amazing but again surely she could say that she has moved on from that chapter of her life and leave - what power do they have over her? Are they blackmailing her? How does it all work in the times of Social Media when celebs and fans can speak out in defending themselves and others? That’s the part that confuses me
I'm an agnostic but I know there is a huge difference between a religion and a cult. If you don't know how evil scientology (not "church of") is then don't make ridiculous comparisons. I went to Catholic school. Raised in the religion but when I didn't believe anymore I just stopped showing up! No One hunted me down. No one demanded that the rest of my family stop speaking to me. A religion does not charge you to find out its beliefs. It is awful that Elisabeth Moss is in The Handmaiden's Tale! I won't watch it but I read the book and a woman in that cult should not be playing the protagonist. She stands for things that the book was fighting against. And by the way, the Mormons are considered a cult.
Right. I am Catholic. I have four siblings and only one of them is Catholic. 1 turned out to be a fundamentalist evengelical Christian another probably an atheist. I still talk to them. The fundamentalist Christians very anti-catholic
There is a scene between Moss’ character and a commanders wife, Eleanor (edit: who is suffering from depression most likely bi-polar), where Moss has to ask if Eleanor wants to leave the cult and she replies to Moss something about “you mean where I could actually get mood stabilising drugs not just herbal teas” and rolls her eyes. How Moss had the audacity is beyond me, I’m guessing that big ole pay check helps...and the cut her own cult takes! It does cause me conflict to watch it and I really wish they had chosen any other actor! Maybe one not so hypocritical?
My biggest issues with Scientology are how they approach medicine, especially where children are concerned. People with mental illness are encouraged to stop taking medicine and stop taking therapy. That is morally reprehensible. Worse, is how they "treat" people with illness or injury: they call it "Touch Assist." They literally touch you all over your body to "put you into communication with the injury." And yes, they do this with kids, too. There are so many things wrong with that, it's astonishing.
Angel Singer. It helps people to get in touch with their bodies, the touch assists do that. It just helps you heal a little faster. Then you can go see a medical doctor if you need to. Scientologists are not against medicine, surgery and so on. You mean they do not beat children? They do not tie them to a chair for 8 hours ? You mean all they did was touch them with a finger on different parts of their bodies? How in the world did those kids survive? 😉I have had touch assists and they made me feel better physically. Again scientologists are not against medicine. Also, psychiatric medication does cause brain damage after 2 years of continuous use. It was proven about forty years ago. By now, maybe it only takes a year. The drugs are probably much stronger by now.
Angel Singer Scientology isn't the only religion that withhold meds from their children. Many religions do ,and many modern day moms don't even vaccinate their babies.
Erlinda Ford. I am a scientologist. Scientologists bring their kids to the doctor when necessary. If a medication is going to help a child it is not denied. Most scientologists have a real problem with psychiatric medications, because they cause brain damage, sooner or later. They would rather use sleep, nutrition, raw healthy fats, exercise and Dianetics /scientology to deal with mental problems. Many people with mental problems have unknown candida infections. The toxins go straight to the brain. You always look for a physical , medical problem first whenever there is a mental illness, instead of swallowing pills. Who wants a personality from a pill? Who wants brain damage?
patphatcat Well i hope i didn't say anything offensive, as i said before ,what religion people choose is none of my business. At the end of the day who am i to judge.
Erlinda Ford Offensive? Not really. I think i read too many negative comments about scientology and I tend to react sometimes. I think I need to stop reading them. Just trying to give people some facts.
I don't care what people want to believe in. I do have a problem with people embracing a belief that gives you the greenlight to harm other people. That goes for ANY religion.
Wow I did not know Elizabeth Moss was a scientologist. She just lost a lot of credibility with me. I was supportive of her work with the Handmaid's Tale, because the story is relevant under the mysogenist Trump administration, but knowing that she has that blind spot and doesn't listen to any questions asked of her religion really throws it all under the bus for me. I agree that her acting is mediocre at best. I wouldn't go so far as to claim that scientology pays for her auditions or gigs, but they do baby their celebrities and give them the cush treatment, so she likely has no idea of any of the abuses occurring in the name of her "religion". What a shame! Well, one day she may wake up, but probably not anytime soon. If she follows suit with other celebrity scientologists like Tom Cruise or John Trvolta who refuse to do interviews addressing any of the critics. It is pretty obvious they are pulling the wool over their eyes and playing see no, hear no, speak no evil. 🙈🙉🙊 but it will be her own loss of precious time and energy and integrity in the end. Sorry to see that ship sink. Hopefully she will come around sometime soon and do an about face, like Leah and see it was all a ruse to exploit her. Hats off to Leah! Her integrity shines through! And she is courageous and empathetic and persistant. I commend Leah and I support her more now than ever. Poor Elizabeth Moss, though.
I'm sorry brought up lutheran same church all my life, haven't been to church more than 3 times in like 20yrs. They didn't call or track me down. Grandparents were catholic and they weren't tracked down. I live in a smaller town, not tiny but scientology is sick!
The people saying you’re disappointed in Moss clearly don’t know what is like to be indoctrinated into a cult your entire life. If we condemn her, you best be condemning every catholic celebrity who is still in the church after they supported and hid abuse for years. Otherwise, you’re a hypocrite.
Every organised religion has intimidation, abuse, and deceit. Some are just more obvious than others. Take all religions with a jaundiced eye. Educate yourself about all religions. If one resonates with you, let it enrich your life...
Scientology also requires you to pay enormous amounts of $ to be able to be part of the "church" and to continue studying. That is not a requirement for most other religions. Yes, there is tithing, but again, usually that is recommended, not required.
randall gregerson - that's the theory anyway. The Bible was written by men of faith, not science, so its message has been open to individual interpretation for centuries: usually to perpetuate one person's or group's power over the uneducated masses. The Bible has been twisted so out of shape for this very purpose over the last two millennia that it's probably barely recognisable from its initial conception. Religion is, after all, a human concept, not a 'heavenly' one, so I'm with Cenk on this point. And I also find it utterly insane that Moss seems to be able to reconcile her own personal beliefs with taking part in a work so blatantly anti-establishment as The Handmaid's Tale. Really incredible.
Elisabeth Moss is a great actress and has a lovely personality. But her continued support of Scientology just gives me a bad impression on her. Also, intimidation and abuse has been a part of all religions.
So many crazy religious people commenting how religion doesn't hurt anyone. Oh, come on. That's pretty much all religion does. It's the cause of everything horrible that's happened in recent human. history
@The Deeper Mind That's hilarious. It's the absence of belief. Saying that you don't believe in imaginary friends doesn't make it a religion. That's just silly.
@Mary Gomes You people are insane 🤣 You literally have absolutely no idea what an atheist is. I'm not surprised you're religious you are complete idiots.
@Mary Gomes lol do you even know what a satanist is? Do your research- Satanists are simply atheists who believe in agency and self-expression and use the symbol of Satan as a satirical counter to theistic faith.
If I was a Scientologist and I wanted to leave, I would just stop giving them money. They FEED off of money. I’d pretend I love them but was just broke. Then they’d want nuthin to do with me.
Jenny Savage You were a member? Please share something because I am dying to hear something from someone who was actually there. You know, real, regular person.
Hey Cenk, this is easy. In Christianity, Judaism and every other religion you can get their book and read all of their major beliefs for the cost of one book, or for free if you get your Bible from a hotel room. In scientology their mythology is hidden behind years and thousands of dollars of hurdles.
Grassy Gnoll you must not know many Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholics, Episcopalians, etc. family might attempt to get you to come back into the fold, but you are still a part of your family.
There are certain limits to what one can respect. This is not value relativism. I like Moss` work, but now, I´m turned off. What irony that she is acting in The Handmaid's Tale! Maybe she acts so convincingly because it´s type acting.
Yep I agee all the religions have turned into cults. They all believe they are the one true religion. To each their own. I will view all religions with a grain of salt
So many “ religions” are in fact cults. You don’t have to be lacking in intelligence to get sucked in and lose yourself and your relationship with your family. My father is a genius, multilingual professor who has been in a cult for the past 35 years. He will never leave, and right before he joined, he was looking into Scientology.. it’s not a big jump if you are a non practicing Catholic(or other big, regimental religion), who is looking for structure in their life. He’s lost so much money, and missed years of his daughters’ lives. Genius IQ. It makes NO sense.
Why does Moss not wanna talk about her faith? Famous Muslims and Christians seem to love talking about their faith, so why doesn't she? It is because Moss knows there's something wrong about her faith and because she knows her 'religion' is a cult and something bad- I feel she wants out but doesn't know how- just like Serena Joy (Mrs Waterford) in the Handmaids tale, who seems to hate Gilead but doesn't know how to leave...
Elisabeth Moss talks about scientology she loves Scientology and we'll defend it on the day of the Emmy Awards Scientology and the aftermath won an Emmy Elisabeth Moss was sitting next to Leah Remini when the minute Lee Remy came into the room during the Emmy Awards Elisabeth Moss looked at Leah Remini what an awful look and walked away she believes in her faith in Scientology but you're right if she spoke out about scientology she will be followed just like Lee Remy was followed in Brooklyn when she was making the movie Scientology pays people to follow people and likely destroy their careers Elisabeth Moss has an agent who was a former Scientologist according to Leah Remi she's getting work like gangbusters Scientology is helping her to get work this is the fear that is put in these celebrities oh yes she has watch the series don't think for one minute she's not watching it and on top of that when Elisabeth Moss is act about scientology the media fall for it they're scared and she is as well
There are many accepted religions that resemble what is believed to be a cult. But what make my blood boil is how it is an entire process for the leaders and the followers to seek out widely known celebrities, so they can try and manipulate simple minded and weak people into following there example. It is so manipulative and disturbing. And what's sad is it actually works.
I'm Catholic and I love everyone equally because to me being Catholic that's the number one thing to love one another and help people that need help no matter what. Jesus is about love so any Catholics that sit there and claim the religion and than turn around and judge people and don't lend a helping hand than they obviously don't understand what Jesus stood/stands for.
it is so hypocritical and confusing for Moss to be a scientologist but to play in and promote handmaids tale when it is being pushed as such a warning of modern day 'oppression'
Like they said, she was born into it. Innocent kids, I wasn't brought up religious but it shapes your mind as you grown. Scientology is going to come crashing down soon. Lots of lawyers looking at lots of human rights violations
this dampens my enjoyment of Elizabeth Moss. But I know she's been in it since she was a kid, so I understand how hard it can be to pull yourself away from everything you've ever known, as well as all your friends and family in there
Not true, they take money from all people, poor people included. There isn't one set cost for things, they look at your credit report, bank accounts, etc. And then determine the best way they can convince and guilt someone into giving everything tbey can. Also for folks that aren't rich they offer them positions in the Sea Org or other programs where they can get free labor (or like paying $20-$50 a week).
I used to have a roommate who lived in the LA Scientology center for 20 years. He met his wife through Scientology, and then the center changed it's policy and discouraged members from marrying and having children. Eventually he abandoned his wife and young daughter because of Scientology. When he became a bit less enthusiastic- many years on- he was given the Scientology version of excommunication for being a 'suppressive person'. He told me it is absolutely a cult, and also that celebrities are treated very differently from regular members and are deeply sheltered from the uglier parts of it.
We have to keep in mind that the only reason why Leah Remini finally left scientology is when she personally experienced being attacked by them for asking the question “where is Shelly” @ Tom Cruises wedding. Then she got attacked again by other members of how she behaved badly at Tom’s wedding... including Katy Holmes. Up until then she was completely happy even though they drained 1.5 millions from her. I think most don’t See it unless it personally happens to them...
It’s not about beliefs. Cults can be benign or destructive based on practices. It’s the destructive practices that control behavior, information, thoughts, and emotions- that can indoctrinate ppl into making prescribed choices. We are all vulnerable to this manipulation. Moss is a victim.
Okay, hear me out...Moss has spoken out about how she has decided to express how she feels about Scientology in her art, The Handmaids Tale perhaps....in which she stays in an oppressive cult like civilization in order to help get her family out (all of her family aka her daughter). She grew up in Scientology, so perhaps she still has family in it...I mean like it’s literally her life. Right?
Guys, there is NO COMPARISON between Scientology and a "regular religion". Scientology only says it is a religion for tax and legal benefits. It doesn't walk like a religion, it doesn't talk like a religion. IT IS NOT A RELIGION
tbf, hubbart announced that if he ever wanted to get rich, he'd invent a religion, since it's easy to make people believe a stupid story... couple years later: scientology! Scientology is the equivalent of trump saying he could kill someone in broad daylight and get away with it, continuing to kill someone in broad daylight and getting away with it... I think it's the only "religion" that was announced as "here's what I'm going to screw you over with" and people still bought into it...
1:52 I can't help but wonder if ¿Brett? (idk who he is but I think that's his name and, let's face it, he looks like a Brett) would have read Leah's comment on Elizabeth in such a snarky tone if he actually knew the lengths many scientologists actually go to be seen as "... abusive and destroying families." I *hope* he's more educated on the subject today and I *hope* he wouldn't be so flippant about their behavior if he is (more educated). Though I honestly don't have too much *hope* in very many people when it comes to compassion and understanding.

I was once a bible-thumper. I find it ironic when people try to tell me that college brainwashed me, because I'm actually not the one who's brainwashed anymore. I don't judge people for being religious, but I will criticize them for attacking those who question religion itself.
I lost my religion but then suffered from constant existential crises.
Vapor King there is nothing after death. We are organic matter that will become one with earth. Telling yourself otherwise to feel better doesn't change the reality, so yeah, accept our unity with mother earth and dispense with the book. There are many books. There is one earth
@vapor king that's what's supposed to happen next. it's all part of learning to be an independent and free thinker. for me it was always important to remember that there is still a thing called morality out there. i just had to learn how to cipher through the values that were sound in logic and the ones that weren't.
That's not helping. None of these replies are really helping. Sometimes it'll get bad enough to the point of me thinking about suicide and telling people that there is nothing left or nothing to live for makes it worse.
why does it drive you to the point of being suicidal? seriously though dude? what kind of brainwashing did they try on you?
How can you be in a show like handmaids tale but also be in a cult like this….doesn’t make sense
You do realize she's brainwashed and was Born into scientology the same one one can be born into the christian Jewish Muslim Hindu bhuudist faith right? When you believe what you are taught from childhood that's your identity it's only strange to outsiders
The only difference between a cult and a religion is the number of sheep.
Gene Starwind I'm in this cult that is the best religion. It's called festivus.
Can they stop calling it church?! 😩
that's how they got tax-free status..
I know, but the reporters could just call them Scientology without the church part...
Scientology is sue-happy. That's what they do. They got their status as a religion legally recognized through strong-arming tactics. They will sue any agency they can that doesn't describe them as a religion
Leah Remini is a hero
Maria Abrams damn straight
The only difference between a cult and a religion is its level of political clout.
We love Whistle Blowers
Remini is a hero
Comparing Scientology to other religions is idiotic!
Why?
I’m kinda disappointed in her, she has been an activist for women’s rights but when it matters most she is supporting an organization riddled with abuse like come on you can’t have you cake an eat it too
What the... She stars in and makes Handmaid's Tale but doesn't see her church for what it is?
Edit: Brett said it lol.
Yeh very weird !! I think it's because she has grown up with scientology so its harder to see the wood from the trees
I have lost respect for Elizabeth Moss as an actress because I think she has used her connection to Scientology to further her career.
You lost respect as your loser Scientologist
I recommend "Going Clear" to anyone who hasn't seen the documentary yet.
I am putting Leah remini name in for saint hood because she has the ability to stop others from joining that cuit do you.Thank you leah remini.
Sonofgod Jesuschrist so a high ranking member of a cult. Interesting but hey a promotion is a promotion.
Leah you rock keep going take down that cult
I always wondered why an incredible woman like Elisabeth Moss who is wise, strong, intelligent and beautiful is in such a blatantly obvious cult? They may have some great aspects but surely the bad outweighs the good? Kirstie Alley attributes her sobriety to Scientology which is amazing but again surely she could say that she has moved on from that chapter of her life and leave - what power do they have over her? Are they blackmailing her? How does it all work in the times of Social Media when celebs and fans can speak out in defending themselves and others? That’s the part that confuses me
Blackmail and brain wach.
Very disappointing to hear. I love Elizabeth Moss. She is a tremendous talent.
I love what Leah Remini is doing!
And yes, all religions are cults. Some are older and more accepted.
Steven DuVall agreed!
Totally agree.
Most are not cults of personality, though. The cleric is supposed to be purely a communicator, not the object of worship. There's a huge difference.
Hey, I live in Minnesota. Every winter we can walk on water.
So I guess she gets a lot of material for her role as a handmaid from real life?
Weird that Elisabeth Moss is in Handmaiden's Tale and doesnt see the corilation with Scientology.
Its NOT A CHURCH
"The Tax Evasion Scheme of Scientology"
I like her as an ACTRESS , but I think it was a very weird choice for the show producers to pick her as the lead.
I love Leah. She's great, has great humour, and I love how determined she is.
Wow she is still a scientologist? So disappointed in Moss
Why? Do you know her personally?
Not every religion create hate websites of people who speak out against them
Oh no, Elisabeth Moss is a member? Goddamit.
Leah is so hot she contributes to Global Warming.
I'd covfefe her for a month straight then go back for more.
"Cult is what the big congregation calls the little congregation." ~The 4400
I'm sorry brought up lutheran same church all my life, haven't been to church more than 3 times in like 20yrs.
People who go to catholic church didn't know! It's not part of the doctrine! Big difference.
The problem is in the holy books. If you want to be a christian, you must take all the baggage with it.
randall gregerson - that's the theory anyway.
It's the cause of everything horrible that's happened in recent human. history
@Mary Gomes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@The Deeper Mind no it's not 🤣 atheism is not a religion at all. That is so freaking stupid 🤣🤣😂
Moss clearly does not see the irony of being a Scientologist and the abusive nature of the “church” while staring in the Handmaid’s Tale.
Paula Shelton i was just thinking the same thing good one Paula thank you.
I'm surprised that Elizabeth Moss could do a show like Handmaids tale which is about a religious cult. I would think she would not be allowed.
I am disappointed that many of my favorite actresses are still Scientologists. Moss, Prepon, Bell. 😒
I was today years old when I learned that Laura, the Laura f*cking Prepon is a Scientologist tf
Kristen BELL?!
If I was a Scientologist and I wanted to leave, I would just stop giving them money. They FEED off of money. I’d pretend I love them but was just broke. Then they’d want nuthin to do with me.
Jonelle Pemberton They know everything about you. They Will threaten you with what you hold dear.
That’s actually what I did. I was broke and couldn’t pay for anymore courses.
Grassy Gnoll Not only that but other religions don't make you disconnect from your family.
There may not be a policy but there are subtle nudges to encourage you not to hang out with non believers.
Grassy Gnoll you must not know many Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholics, Episcopalians, etc. family might attempt to get you to come back into the fold, but you are still a part of your family.
Grassy Gnoll thousands of dollars? how about $500,000?
unless you're recruiting
There are certain limits to what one can respect. This is not value relativism. I like Moss` work, but now, I´m turned off. What irony that she is acting in The Handmaid's Tale! Maybe she acts so convincingly because it´s type acting.
Yep I agee all the religions have turned into cults. They all believe they are the one true religion. To each their own. I will view all religions with a grain of salt
So many “ religions”
are in fact cults.
Gina B so sad.....Difficult to understand how someone so intelligent gets caught up....😣
It’s has more to do with liking to feel apart of something and making decisions for you.
Elisabeth Moss talks about scientology she loves Scientology and we'll defend it on the day of the Emmy Awards Scientology and the aftermath won an Emmy Elisabeth Moss was sitting next to Leah Remini when the minute Lee Remy came into the room during the Emmy Awards Elisabeth Moss looked at Leah Remini what an awful look and walked away she believes in her faith in Scientology but you're right if she spoke out about scientology she will be followed just like Lee Remy was followed in Brooklyn when she was making the movie Scientology pays people to follow people and likely destroy their careers Elisabeth Moss has an agent who was a former Scientologist according to Leah Remi she's getting work like gangbusters Scientology is helping her to get work this is the fear that is put in these celebrities oh yes she has watch the series don't think for one minute she's not watching it and on top of that when Elisabeth Moss is act about scientology the media fall for it they're scared and she is as well
Afan Ali because she probably knows people will stop listening to her because she’s ignorant enough to get into a cult.
Sure, all religion have cult like aspects, but when I left the Catholic church, no one tried to imprison and brain wash me into coming back.
True. And if you ever want to return, we'd be so happy to have you. No pressure.:)
People need to stop blaming Jesus for all the stupid shit his followers do. It's not His fault.
ITSONLYMEWATCHING amen lol
The reason she's still part of the organisation is because as a celebrity she is shielded from the true behaviour of this cult.
it is so hypocritical and confusing for Moss to be a scientologist but to play in and promote handmaids tale when it is being pushed as such a warning of modern day 'oppression'
Like they said, she was born into it. Innocent kids, I wasn't brought up religious but it shapes your mind as you grown. Scientology is going to come crashing down soon. Lots of lawyers looking at lots of human rights violations
It's a cult!!
It also costs thousands to be a scientologist and you are expected/required to give that money to them.
I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this thought, but I wonder if Elizabeth Moss's role choice was a cry for help...
I dont think it was. But it might lead her to be more sceptic to religion.. I hope so :)
I hope so
I clicked on this and for a few seconds I thought it was the guy from the office
this dampens my enjoyment of Elizabeth Moss. But I know she's been in it since she was a kid, so I understand how hard it can be to pull yourself away from everything you've ever known, as well as all your friends and family in there
Pretty sure to be a Christian is free. To be a Scientologist..... don't go in unless you got $500,000 in the bank.
Fur Balls whatever it takes to break the spell
It’s not about beliefs. Cults can be benign or destructive based on practices. It’s the destructive practices that control behavior, information, thoughts, and emotions- that can indoctrinate ppl into making prescribed choices. We are all vulnerable to this manipulation. Moss is a victim.
I can't believe before the video, I have to watch a paid advertisement by The Church Of Scientology, attacking Leah Remini.
Right?
Not if she serves as a beacon of success that draws people into a harmful & dangerous cult, which she does 🙄
Leah Reminisce and Elizabeth Moss are very similar? Really?!?
Guys, there is NO COMPARISON between Scientology and a "regular religion". Scientology only says it is a religion for tax and legal benefits.
It doesn't walk like a religion, it doesn't talk like a religion. IT IS NOT A RELIGION
exactly. a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew has no right to laugh at a scientologist. The myths they believe in are just as ridiculous
tbf, hubbart announced that if he ever wanted to get rich, he'd invent a religion, since it's easy to make people believe a stupid story... couple years later: scientology!
Scientology is the equivalent of trump saying he could kill someone in broad daylight and get away with it, continuing to kill someone in broad daylight and getting away with it...
I think it's the only "religion" that was announced as "here's what I'm going to screw you over with" and people still bought into it...
Religion is basically, just a coping mechanism. Love is the only religion one needs.
scientology is on a diff level of wacko stalker murderers you should watch leas show
1:52 I can't help but wonder if ¿Brett? (idk who he is but I think that's his name and, let's face it, he looks like a Brett) would have read Leah's comment on Elizabeth in such a snarky tone if he actually knew the lengths many scientologists actually go to be seen as "... abusive and destroying families." I *hope* he's more educated on the subject today and I *hope* he wouldn't be so flippant about their behavior if he is (more educated).
Though I honestly don't have too much *hope* in very many people when it comes to compassion and understanding.
Elizabeth Moss as Peggy Olson on Mad Men is one of my favourite TV characters of all time
Oh June 😞
More like Ofhubbard.
@@YouCanNOTvoteOutFascism offred right? Offred I take it as offered like her name in the show offred but when u say it, it sounds like offered like her body is being offered to making children
