DEATH Leprosy playthrough

- My rehearsal playthrough of song Leprosy for the upcoming Left to Die US tour. This is just a rough rehearsal that our drummer Gus Rios and I whipped up, all video was filmed with my phone - so it's not fancy, but I wanted to get the most accurate transcription / lesson version of the song I could out there. Thanks to Darick Joyce for transcribing the solo.
Music and lyrics by Chuck Schuldiner

I consider death to be the best metal band I've ever heard just because it resonates with me personally. Gruesome is amazing as well and brings back that same feeling I have with Death.
Duuude just recently got into Death Metal thanks to Chuck and Death. I also have Gruesome Twisted Prayers on repeat. That's such a great recording. Still pretty peculiar when it comes to the genre, but so far I like Death, Gruesome, Atheist, Nocturnus, Obituary and a few others. Barn has to be the best young Death Metal band out. Rock on brother
As much as you was measured in your introductory words before your performance, we could see passion and honesty in what you performed with your guitar. This is the way!
Matt, congrats!
Oh man that tapping riff still seems soo sick and twisted to me. Hard to figure out but sounds amazing. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the awesome video man.
Great cover of a Death classic song with great riffs, great playing Matt. Keep up the great work and for Chuck Schuldiner's legacy!!!!!
Long Live Chuck ❤️
I remember meeting you 20 years ago at one of the first Maryland Death Fests… awesome show, and you were super cool. I still have the pictures from the show. The first time i heard Limb From Limb, it opened the door to death metal for me. I had already been into Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus at the time, but I had no idea that there were other bands that sounded so heavy.
Thanks for giving us great tunes and keeping it solid 👍🏼
Killer playthrough! I like that sweet Mortician poster too!
Great video
Amazing bro!!! thxs very much for this great tab!! it's very help full. 😀🤘
1. I could listen to you break down song structure for hours.
2. I totally was scanning the background for toys.
3. Howard the Duck Rules.
4. Great playthrough
5. How do I end this
6. I can't stop.
7. Help

Awesome video and great playing! I wish you had more videos like this! If anyone can do Death justice it's you brother \m/
🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍

Congrats on the tour. For many years people have said factually Chuck and I looked alike. My dream wouid be to make a feature length film about Chuck and his life and I would play Chuck. I wrote banger media pitching them this as I’m also an author who has written several screenplays. This is a long shot but I’ve yet to hear back. I’m just putting this out there that it would be a true honor to play Chuck in a feature length movie. -Mike Esola

“ONLY DEATH IS REAL - MATT”
I’ve been listening to death metal for about 4-5 years. I’m only 17 and I’ve recently picked up guitar about a year ago, I am decent but not the greatest. I was wondering if you have any advice on Tremelo picking?
I am no expert guitar player. And I know your question was for Matt.
First of all, Exciting to read your excitement and commitment to playing awesome metal! There is hope for the future.
The best piece of advice I have picked up from online tutorials and magazine articles, is the focus on playing things correctly at low ( however low needed) speed and then letting the speed catch up with continuous practice. I imagine that advice applies for all aspects of playing.
I'm certainly feeling a bit hypocritical whereas I havent really played in a few months, pulled out my axe last night for a little bedroom jamming and was confronted with wrist pain after 20 minutes.
Shame on me. Use it or lose it.
Good luck and cant wait to hear the awesome metal you create!
@@saltpeter7429 thank you, slowing down the riffs and working my way up to the paste it’s at sounds about right. I’ll give it a go!
SODOM 🤟🤟🤟 Sorry...
