Surprised you didn't mention it when you brought up Cold Slither, but the v2 outfit looks exactly like his cold slither getup. The hair style is different but the color is the same
Great video! I've had this figure for years and had no idea it could swivel like that. I didn't even notice it didn't have a peg for backpack. I've kept it in an obscure part of my collection, not sure what to do with it. Now, I have a much better understanding! The swivel doesn't work though. Maybe some WD-40 would help here. Or some grape soda. ;-)
I recall this look most from the GI Joe, starting Snake Eyes vs Transformers: Generation 2 crossover. I wasn't really too keen on the sudden appearance change then, I'm still not really sold on it now.
When I put Zartan in disguise, I take off his armor and put on the second face. I bought a jedi accessory pack from the Star Wars episode 1 line. It has a cloak that works great for the disguise. It's loose enough to hide the backpack. I think I might get Zartan version 2. Bad in the 90s meant good ha ha.
I am tending to agree here. I was an ARAH collector mainly and skipped the 90s (aged out back in the day). But looking at this V2 with the others, he does fit in better. The trousers need some adjustment though.
I agree with those that say this guy blends with the other Drednoks but he never is portrayed as being a goofy punker like the other guys in his team, and especially the guy in the comic I don’t envision him walking around looking like sex pistol/Poison fan.
It's an edit, a trimmed down version of the original review that cuts the opening and ending and focuses mainly on the figure. Original here: ua-cam.com/video/KDOD5NRNuPI/v-deo.html
Hard to believe it's been five years since the original full review was released. "... and the Ninja Lightning motorcycle, that's one I'd like to get my hands on." Unfortunately, we know how THAT turned out...
I remember seeing these figures at the time, and the whole neon, black light color scheme was disappointing. It was hard to watch the decline of brands like Transformers and GI JOE as they turned to these drastic measures to compete with Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers.
The end of the lines was the worst. I was older at that time, so I don't remember it first hand, but looking back; damn, they got lazy. Most of the Transformers were just lay down or stand up to transform. And all the neon garbage and random weapon trees in GI Joe.
@@ryanbwags You aren't wrong. If I recall correctly, it started when Hasbro began engineering original Transformer toys rather than simply licensing product from Takara.
I can see this version of Zartan being in Cold Slither for sure!
Zartan! Legend!
Aside from the lime green pants, this honestly isn't a bad look for a Dreadnok IMHO.
Yea could always swap legs w torche or monkey wrench if need b
Not so easily. The leg/waist assembly on ninja force figures isn't standard.
Loved the ninja force line! I still have mine on card! I always wanted a 2nd wave, lol! Great review and information!

I love the Mohawk of this Zartan. Another great review mate!!
Zartan is awesome! Excellent review HCC!
84 Zartan was just an amazing figure. One of my favorites. Good review Commander!!!
I still have my original.somehow he survived when all the better joe figures I had didn’t lol.
I just pretended he was another Dreadnok and not Zartan.
Thanks for posting. No wonder this Zartan is so angry, he has no screw hole! Hope you have a great day.
I call the Martin guitars & their copies "Dreadnoks" because of GI Joe... nice review as always!
Really love this version of Zartan, he's just let down by his articulation.. as all Ninja Force figures were...
Yo Joe! Go Bryan. I find these videos relaxing and nostalgic.
Your card art also came with the mandatory clearance sticker all Neon Force came with 😂
Zartan v2 I use as Zartan's son .
There is actually an o ring in this Zartan figure. Cracktastic Plastic has a video on how to repair Zartan, T'J Bang, Dice, and Banzai.
Why did the video end so abruptly?
Zartan is a cool character.

I like this version and think it blends in very well with the other Dreadnoks, maybe even better than the original.

Had the face paint and mohawk been black or dark brown, this figure would've ruled
Ah yes, my favorite color, neon salmon.
It would have been nice if they kept the color change feature.
Clearly v1 Zartan's disguise is Norm from New Yankee Workshop disguised as Zartan hence why he's wearing the same outfit.
Such an abrupt ending! Lol

It’s Pixel ZarDan!
i love a good mohawk, but...
his hairline looks like it's even with his eyebrows.
It was definitely put on wrong in production
The card art makes him look drunk off his ass…. 😂
Is this a re-upload?

@@rainydayman2k I've seen the original 👍

I thought this seemed like an old video. Wonder why he reuploaded
What did they do to my boy

so zartan disguised as jesus?
What a strange way to end a video..😅
Zartan's midlife crisis?
So, let me get this right. They removed the o-ring from the waist, so that he could spring back at the waist, just like elastic? 👍 oookay.
