Really great video. I know the Devil's Due run wasn't for everyone, but I loved it. Felt like, at the time, a great modernization and continuation. Really liked the new additions to the cast like Alexander Destro, Lady Armada, Firewall and of course, Kamakura.
Phil Rey and the total redesign of Overlord backstory where great to.
I owned a few of the Master & Apprentice comics series. Always been a fan of everything Ninja, and this series satisfied my appetite! 🥷💨⚔️
I loved the DD run too.
I also read the Devil's Due G.I.Joe comics and I also enjoyed it
Did you read the America's Elite World War 3 story arc?
Thank You, Thank You so much for this video!! I've been trying to find out about this character for a long time but it's really hard to find much on him. I love your videos, keep up the good work!!
Great as always my friend
"How'd the Green Power Ranger get in here?"
I'd take that as a compliment.
That was my favorite quote from Hawk
Awesome video which corresponds with my reading GI Joe 298 today.
I first saw Kamakura in the Rise of Cobra video game. I had no idea who he was before that. Great video! Yo Joe 😎
Love your videos!
Gotta love the Joe vs Cobra / Spytroops/ VvV era. Thanks for the great video!
Wow…I knew Kamakura from the toys, the Sigma Six cartoon and DD but I haven’t read the IDW Hama stuff yet, but have heard you mention Sean Collins in other videos…never realized that Sean Collins, who I had picked up was Throwdown….was Kamakura. I’ve definitely learned something new today!
Sean is an excellent student. 😀👍
Kamakura us my second favorite Joe Ninja Snakeeyes is my favorite i didn't know his history was this complex
14:58. I don’t think I’ve seen a more awesome shot of the Thunder Machine! I don’t know it’s worth your time, but that vehicle needs it’s own origin story!
Very enjoyable video!
Thanks for doing these . I’m not that familiar with the GI Joe characters (As a kid, I did get a FEW of the Marvel comics (I read that the Larry Hama run is really good .), but through these I’m learning . Keep up the good work .
Hey Jesse I Was wondering history and origins videos on lex luthor
I just broke when you said Snake-Eyes 🐍 died thats all I heard then I just zoned out I didn't hear anything after that 😔
Sweet 👍
Wow, that's a lot of info. Very convoluted. So...with the Classified release of Kamakura...what phase in the story line would he be?
Are we going to be able to get a faithful adaptation of GI Joe on screen
LOVE THE GI JOE NINJAS. COULD WE GET THE NIGHTCREEPERS.
I hope we get Night Creepers in G. I. Joe Classified. And the Night Creeper Leader (original v1 O-ring) in Classified, as well.
Wait. So IDW issue 206 picks up from the marvel run?? And 300 is the last issue?
Can you do one on Baron Karza (From The Micronauts.)? And Baron Von Strucker ? Baron Blood (Oh hell, just do one on ALL of the Barons !).
👍👍👍
😊😊😊
What comic was that when Sean fought with Ghengis khan? I want to get that issue.
The 2nd most recent issue of Larry Hama's IDW run, #297.
@@G7M9W ok cool thank you
You should add there 1st App
He is no Snake-Eyes. I remember the character as a kid as that was a cool story line. But have no clue who the adult is, except he is no Snake-Eyes.
Sean Collins was a good character in the Marvel run, and despite the overuse of ninjas, Kamakura was an ok continuation of his story. As a non-ninja, the Throwdown version of Sean could have become something new. Unfortunately, that was all thrown away when he was needlessly turned into Fake Eyes. Really did both Sean and Snake Eyes dirty.
Funny. IDK why anyone would want to be like Snake-Eyes. He’s absolutely boring [>
