Can see them doing very well with this, they’ve put a lot of thought into design and the practicality will appeal to many people. The price of some cars that offer this carrying capacity and versatility is crazy, you’d be very reluctant to put mucky bikes, kids and dogs in the back. Buy the right version of this and you’ve got a new car that meets the needs of a lot of people at a very reasonable price. Very fair and balanced review as always 👍
I already have a Jogger Extreme so this will be next car in two years time. The only thing I would hope they improve on is the carpets. It's more like fluffy lino and it wears very quickly. But other than that nothing wrong with it. My neighbour has a Kia and he paid £6k more for his. Also the seven seats are useful if you have a big family, but I took mine out and use mine as a van. Also be prepared for "Brand Snobs" who will just turn their noses up at it, until they see what you get for money. What I like in my hybrid is nearly 70mpg and nearly 65-75% in EV mode around London. In fact Dacia short changed themselves on the MPG. One caveat is that I hope they have solved the clutch and gearbox issues that plagued the manual Joggers. There are good and bad points in all cars but my Jogger is more good than bad. Remember that the chances are it will badged as a Renault in some countries so you will never know the difference! Mein Gott, I just love Dacia! Manual Transmission, spare tyre ...music to my ears! Best of all, the name is awesome. A proper middle finger to the badge snobs! 😜
There won’t be a spare wheel in UK ones as they aren’t required here. In France you get a fire extinguisher that’s their mandate. Something the government could easily add to new car requirements and safer for everybody too.
I didn't realise no spare tyre option is a UK constraint. But the option is there right? Fitting kit will be a standard manufacturer item even if have to buy from Europe somewhere
Hi Pete, great review. I was amazed by the new plastic. I was in the industrial paint/coatings industry and many years ago painting plastics was an incredible challenge because of the fast rate of new plastic development. It was so important to paint plastics say 30 years ago because whichever moulding technique was used, surfaces were visually very imperfect with stress marks etc. This injection moulding with apparently well distributed sparkle is truely a modern miracle. Brilliant. What a car? Thank you for great content as usual. David
I was going to post a cheeky comment about the name, but what an excellent vehicle for the money. Love the little practical features. It'll be interesting to see your driving review in the future.
Dacia and Renault really are on a roll with there designs at the moment. Nice looking motor, having just come from a Clio hybrid, that should drive very well and be pretty economical as well. Another great video there mr ped 😊

Then along comes a vehicle like this and because it hasn't one of the big german badges we probably would turn our heads away. This car looks fantastic and i would have no hesitation having it parked in my driveway and who cares what the neighbours think.
This car and the new Duster have a design approach that is fresh and dare I say almost desirable. Much better than the bland designs from the likes of VW and co. Good review too, the pace and approach is spot on.
Crikey, 3 engines, 3 different cycles? Amazing ideas. Good to see Atkinson being used in that fascinating engine. Miller is a rare option these days. Hope longevity is assured given the lower loadings that are likely. Are any wet belt driven cams? Great to see real innovation from a budget car stable. Good, comprehensive early review.
