Love the pots and the trees and the magic potting. The trees emind me somehow of the beatles crossing the road. Garden looking great also. 🌳🌳🌳🌳🐈⬛🐈⬛😀😀👍👍
Great video! I have 4 of these Portuguese laurels in my garden that were planted last fall and have just finished flowering. How soon will you be sharing your video on how you shape them? I would love to see how you do it before I tackle mine.
Hi & thank you for your message, I pruned my flowers off my Portuguese laurels as soon as they had gone over before they went to seed , but unfortunately I did not film it so I can’t show you the process, but in short I just snippet back the longer stems I had left to flower & then snippet all the lower ones off to encouraging the laurels to thicken up , hope that helps & have a wonderful day in the garden 🌱 Chip
Thank you Maria 🤠 so happy you enjoyed , iv put the pots on the pebble ring around the centre circle for now but I think they will go beside the new garden benches once iv finished them 👍🏼 have a wonderful day 🌱 Chip
In my mind I always think that when potting a new plant you should always plant in a pot that is bigger than the original pot. What are the advantages of planting in a pot that is only slightly bigger?
Hi Debora, thank you for your message the pots am using are bigger but they may not look it as there square pots, at least a couple of inches bigger 😁 but the advantage of only going slightly bigger is next time you come to repot your not going to have to go too big as the tree will completely fill any size pot you put them in , so only go up as much as necessary, & as the trees will be kept at this size with pruning they would look odd if the pots were bigger then the tree top 🌳 hope iv answers your question 👍🏼 have a beautiful day & all the best 🌱 Chip
Chip, you are so entertaining! While sitting on the couch with heavy backpain, after trying to fix my claypond, I enjoy looking for one other to work for living dreams😘 Applaus from Germany!!! Can you tell me, what the spektacular blue tree in the background is? Is it a ceanothus? And if so, do you know the name?

Is there a video of making the circular garden surrounded by boxwoods? Thanks
Sorry no as I was not on UA-cam when I did that sadly, but I may do something similar in the new garden but on a smaller scale 🤠 all the best 🌱 Chip
