There was me and my family members and other kid who chased me and sometimes he just stoppd running and started to sprint again very fuking fast. The dream had similar buildings and the landscape was very similar!!
Tip: The part with the VHS tapes can be done WAY faster. Run back and forth to the fire alarms and he can't hear you for some time. It runs to the alarm and stays there until it's off. You wouldn't have died either mid-run.

There is some speedrun tech which explains all of this! Shift jumping is the process of letting go of shift while midair to let the stamina timer reset. The early skip is explained by spamming E as you lean- this is supposed to kick you off but you can abuse it to gain momentum.
