Looks and sounds great 👍. I personally would do no black guard. My artist mind says less is more.

I absolutely LOVE how you explain the process - another great video!
Question for you about the Floyd Rose install - what size holes should I drill for the posts? I have the German Original model, and it has the 10mm inserts. I’d expect to have to drill it a tad smaller than 10mm, but how much smaller? 3/8”? 25/64”?
    Thanks!!!

Hey Dan! Depending on what wood you’re going into…if a hard maple then just one size smaller which go 10mm I believe that’s just a 3/8 inch which is 9.53 Millimeters. If softer wood like Alder then maybe try two steps down 23/64…It should go in tight but not so tight that you crack your wood.

@@letsbuildaguitar9230 One more question - what size roundover bit do you use for the Tele deluxe? I can’t seem to find the specs anywhere…

@@Daniel.K.Crandall Hey are you referring to the body rounding on the back? BTW...I think I've friended you on Facebook now if I got the right Dan Crandall from Mankato MN...so it might be easier and quicker to just use messenger if you want.

Looks Great! ☮️💜😊 My favorite is the Gotoh 1996t. For the money, you cannot beat it.! It is just as good as the German Floyd rose at half the price.
If I may, though, I would like to offer you some knowledge on Floyd rose set up. That makes it even easier. I’m very familiar with them.

You may if you like. I do know about using stop blocks etc….but I can set em up pretty quickly the way I do. Interestingly this guitar ended up with the lowest action I’ve ever had on a guitar without any buzz…the knock is so straight and because I used the fret fall away technique….wowza….!

@@letsbuildaguitar9230 absolutely! Keeping the tremelo blocked straight in the position that you want it, is the most important thing at initial set up. Then stretching the strings until you can’t stretch them anymore, and tuning, locking down the nut, then, making sure the tuning is still good. Then releasing the blocks usually the tremelo will pull down then you just have to take tension off the springs until it is straight again, and you should absolutely be in tune.!
Many years ago I learned from Adam
Reiver at Fu-Tone. He is the
      Floyd rose guru!
