I don't usually take the time to comment on youtube videos, but I have to say, the quality and creativity of your content is really inspiring, keep up with the amazing content
I appreciate you showing people what things actually sound like instead of talking about what things might sound like. After all this is music/sound that we're talking about. You have to hear examples to learn here. Explaining these subjects will only get you so far and you have come up with a way to do both at the same time. So for that I salute you. Keep the videos coming and I will keep watching them
« We’re defining the physics of the universe that they come from ». This is it. You can create the physics of alternative universe and re-create life. Thank you for exploring
i've discovered you today because i have to give a granular synthesis class next friday, and i already fucking love you and consider you the best thing this class has ever gifted me. thank you so much for this GORGEOUS and inspiring pieces of educational ART
friend showed me this channel recently. I assumed it was well known. I do not understand how this video only has 24k videos. Hoping you get more traffic soon. thanks
I'm very busy at the moment with work, and I'm simplu listening to this tutorial in the background, it's such a sweet glitchy company. I love your content.
The clarity and quality of this video is outstanding. Almost felt like I was being force fed information and it somehow all stuck. It would be awesome to see an entire series in this format covering all Ableton stock plugins
stumbled upon your channel today and there is an ocean of tutorials out there good and bad but these short focused in-depth tutorials are on another level. Took me a bit to get used to the voice tho. Really going to be recommending this channel to others for sure.
The most intelligent & simple demos that are incredibly complex! Phenomenal work! The voice is key! The fact the the technique is used on the voice as it’s being described. Mind blown🤯🤯🤯🤯
tbh, I don't often comment on videos. But this one was absolutely fantastic, you showed us your art in a way that's quite not usual in a tutorial, and I fkcn loved it. gg boi
As always, these videos are absolutely fantastic and there are a number of elements I am going to add from this into my own workflow! next level stuff. I just have one question; sometimes when applying effects like grain delay to certain things with lots of low-end frequency material like bass or kicks, there is a risk of destroying the desired characteristics of the original sound, as you noted by keeping the dry/wet low on the kick to preserve the transient. If I use grain delay to add resonant harmonics to my bass, is there any risk of this weakening the low-end impact of my bass and, if so, are there any measures I should take to preserve the impact of the low end of my bass? e.g. filter envelopes, parallel processing and so on
great question ! i would separate my bass into 2 parts-a basic sine sub, and then the harmonic/tonal/sound-designed bass. i'd hi pass the tonal bass ~100ish Hz, or anywhere just above where the fundamental frequencies in ur bassline sit. optionally u can group the basses and process the group w a compressor and/or gentle saturator.
hey im absolutely in love with this video and all the possibilities that grain delay offers, unfortunately i use fl studio (boooooh), and i would like to know if there are any plugins that i can use as resonators and / or stereo widener, in the same vein? cannot find any granular pluggin with spray + frequency knobs at the moment if anyone has any idea where i could find this i would be so grateful
i've never used FL 😢 most granular plugins should have a spray/grain position randomization parameter, and they should also have a grain size parameter (grain delay misleadingly calls it frequency instead)
hey ASD just curious if you have any recommendations for a decent delay vst i could achieve similar effects in FL studios? i have been in fl studios for a few years now but i came across ableton live lite with a keyboard i purchased and tbh im thinking about switching over
@@asd_asd_asd_asd thank you both for the replies! I’ll def check them out! Think I might learn Ableton too while I have it anyways! I appreciate you both!
@@loganmiller3167 no worries, for some reason I thought you were asking for a free one, must have misread that! I have Crystallizer too and agree that's probably the best if you're paying. Amazing tutorial by the way! 👌

when a tutorial that teaches you how to create art is itself a piece od art

I have a question: can I use the umbilical cable to power my pc when Ableton is open?
Sorry to ask a very dumb question, but what are you using for the voice over?
