And even without the almighty ywach is as strong as hogyoku Aizen or even stronger, the man fought ichibei 1 v 1 and held his own and was able to steal Yamamoto bankai, as he was the only one who could handle it's power. These guys defeated the Quincy, something not even squad zero could do. Yamamoto by himself should be a match for Aizen.
Given the last episode confirmed there was an original Schutzstaffel group, I imagine that during the invasion of the Seretei each member met a gruesome end after coming face-to-face with one of the OG Gotei captains.
