- This is how to create a digital fashion illustration using procreate on an apple iPad pro.
From the basic sketch to the final details I am showing how to draw a woman wearing a Kimono on an afternoon shopping, a favourite subject for all fashion illustrators.
The brushes I use are all available on procreate
I use the pencil the most, this is for sketch, fine line and some of the shading. I tweaked the pencil slightly so it’s more like a 6B pencil.
I use the studio pen for the flat colour fill and then the gloaming brush for textured shading to create the drape on the fabrics.

I tried to sketch in the past and drew somethings on paper but not at this level, it is obvious you have invested years of practice and are very talented and knowledgeable. I am inspired to try and start from scratch.

As for the pencils, I had a look through the video and in this one I use the 6B Pencil for the line, the Studio Pen for the block colour and then the 6B Pencil again for detail and shading. I taught myself to draw with pencils so Im most comfortable using this for pretty much everything, I just change up the size and opacity for the different textures. I hope that helps

Oh fantastic! It is amazing! The things you can do boggles the mind! The thing I was most excited about was being able to draw light colours on top of dark! Coming from drawing on paper with pens this was like living on the moon in comparison!
