Albert Maysles said it all at 9:30 "...each time they look at you they hopefully see a person who is accepting and kind, a person they can trust. So they go back to being themselves. One mistake is to be so obsessed with the technic that you miss the human factor". I love it!
Sylvia Plachy looks like a complete sweetheart, and her work shown was so witty and interesting. While the production scale and level of control the previous photographer achieved was extraordinarily impressive, Sylvia's work feels so much more 'honest', I find. It's how big the little things are. I think I've just fallen in Love.
Almost six years after this video we can conclude the importance of the photograph soul against of the thousand of photos inside of Instagram, Pinterest and others whose don't have the same content of those legendary photographers.
Eu gostei muito desse documentário sobre a fotografia para diversos fotógrafos do mundo inteiro, cada um deles conta que a fotografia que mudou a vida deles de forma surpreende.
Gregory Crewdson (@ 16:00) photos remind me of the painting Nighthawks by Edward Hopper; very surreal and often inconsistent in ways that demand exploration of the subject matter.
To each his/her journey To each his/her fulfillment To all a commonality, a sense of distance coupled with a sense of belonging A state of life, always changing
I love what Mary Ellen Mark said "great graphics and powerful content" more of her work incredible photographer and person . I have seen so much of her .. but she is the best
@30:09 the light was so right lol, shining on her side of the face. That was my moment of a capture. By the way I recently discovered how to mimic the Kodachrome look on digital pictures and it has given my photos another life. Many of photos that I would usually delete, now have become so attractive to many due to their unique qualities. I recommend all photography lovers to look into it.
Where can we see this without the subtitles, this is terrible. They make a video where the main part are images and they get cover by obnoxious subtitles. Dislike!

The chapter on Albert Maysles is DELIGHTFUL and so so HEARTWARMING!! Wow!
24:21 “I think almost all great pictures, have ghosts in them.”
I absolutely love that.
Albert Maysles, like a boss with a point and shoot.
Showing in action that connection between the subject is greater compare to what tools we use.
Bom

More Albert I like that guy. He shows you don't need a lot of money to have fun with a camera and take interesting pictures.
Of course, the Maysles brothers renown stems from their documentary films, which in turn stem from their interest in people.
