I love this game. I play it with my father in the evenings. Thanks for this video because I skipped the rule that capital ships can give resources/attack every turn they are in play. We were using them as a one time use and left them to soak up damage. This makes them even more essential to grab early. I find the cast of unique characters to be quite lacking so I expect some expansions in the future for this great game!
Just cant wait for some yummy expansions with more interaction between cards and so on! Missing Yoda and Palpatine/Sidious. Hope it will be the first expansion. The time i read is some near the end of the "New Hope". So i quess we will not got Dooku or Grevious. But there is still a room for some great add-ons.

Hi Ladies and gents ,getting a bit long in the tooth these days at 66 so just asking for a wee bit of help on the imperial carriers .what Is the official line on the +1 fighter add if a carrier is present ie if 2 carriers are in play does the adjustment on attack value for fighters become +2 cumulative ,makes quite a difference ofc ,but nothing in the Rules !...cheers and happy new year
Usually rulebooks will explicitly say "plus one PER card" if they mean it like that, so I would assume it roughly translates to "If there is a ship, your fighters get +1."
Question at 6:55. Am i correct in saying that you can add up your attack points and divide them between attacking both a base and a card in the galaxy row ? Or can you only ever attack just one of those per turn ?
@@paragongeth5599 She points to a set of cards and then points to two targets. So, she is indicating that "with these two cards, I am attacking these two targets". If you want confirmation, go watch the creator play in the demo game. They also address the question directly at 52:10 in that video.
Looks cool, but I hope FF adds an expansion with Obi-Wan, Yoda, the Emperor, and Thrawn. Would also like to see the droids, Ugnaughts, Ewoks, and Tusken Raiders for flavor.
Thanks, one question: I have one Base and Two Capital Ships out. My opponent comitts five attack points. Do they a) choose wich Capital ship the damage goes to, or b) commit to the base and I as defender gets to distribute them however I want between my capital ships? Thanks!
Hello, Can you only purchase one card on your turn? and can you only attack one card in the Galaxy row on your turn. I thought it was clear in the rulebook but there are some cards in the game that make it seem that it would be more Just want to sure...Because on many turns I have so much resources but can only buy one card and same goes for attacking the galaxy row.
Rule book and reference card states you can do the attack cards / base and purchase card actions as many times as possible on your tuen. Each card can only attack once though.
Because the Rebellion logo (and cards) are red, and the Empire logo (and cards) are blue. Switching these two colors for the force tracker would be very confusing...
It seems too easy to destroy the base if the only thing stopping them is a capital ship that doesn't have much health. Wouldn't the game end really quickly
I prefer the old style tutorials, great voice-over. This pretty girl is mostly distracting and she reads her lines without understanding anything she says. At least have a gamer girl do the tutorial. Professor Meg would have been fine if you want to go that way, she has a heart for it.
Guss that’s best for you. But personally I prefer short precise and clean tutorials like this. Watching people play a round and chatting I find to slow paced and Almost always has irrelevant chatter.
We play thes kind of games with olayers sitting side by side so we can see all the cards and none of them are upside down. This game has upside down text on most cards which is super annoying.
As someone whom has played and owns several deck builder games, I was disappointed in learning FFG only released this game with only two players in mind. All other games I have played come with up to a total of 4 player in their core set at similar price points. Why so greedy FFG? The game isn't worth buying two sets of.
Most of the other deckbuilders that are similar, claim “2-4”, but are widely panned at anything over 2. At least they were honest about it, rather than pretending.
For deck-builders, if you want a fight/duel themed game, where the objective is to defeat your opponent/s, it has to be 2 sides (2 players or 2 teams) otherwise it just becomes a gang-up.
@@fan-i-am How did that change them uploading a video for 2v2? It doesn't change anything other than they want you to buy a duplicate copy. Again I have multipe games that didn't require this. They had all you needed for 1v1 and 2v2 for competitive play any other combination of game modes around the same price point.

This is the way.
I like the upside downy bits; good usability. Also like how you can attack the cards yet to be purchased.
God damn it, FFG. You sure know how to keep a man invested in your videos
Cool game. It needs a Prequel and Mandalorian expansion.
Clone Wars stand alone was recently announced so you got the prequel :)
I love the way this video is made. I wish every board game did this.
Those wall lights are sick!
Nice video, bought this game today. As a fan of star realms this looks like a fun star wars adaption with some good twists

Great collab!
It's a more streamlined Legend of the Five Rings. Neat.
No this is a lot more inspired from Star Realm, the only unique twist are attacking cards in the market row and also the force track.
Looking forward to playing this tonight. And always a pleasure to see Becca Scott. Great and clear explanation.
What happened to the old style Fantasy Flight Games videos? They were amazingly cinematic...
Loks good. No link for 2v2 mode in description?
I like the game so much i added other units like Din Djarin And moff gideon

How can you attack the other player's units, if they get discarded before the start of your turn anyway?
This game is great.
Stooooooop I've spent the last 6 months hopelessly addicted to Magic and a year before that on Yugioh, I can't afford another card game!
It's a one time purchase

Is.damage static between turns? Like does damage stay in a base or does the damage tokens get returned if you don't destroy it in one turn?
You probably already know by now, but for others- they stay
How much for the starter deck?
Not a ccg - Deckbuilding game similar to ascension or star realms
Where’s the 2v2 mode link? It’s not direct called out in the video’s description.
You can find the 2v2 rules under the Support section on this page: www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-the-deckbuilding-game/

WHERE IS GROGU?
Why does the official how to play video for a game, for which I already payed a lot of money, have so many ads?
Is Becca a secret Sith agent?
WE NEED A CLONE WARS AUTO-PLAYABLE EXPANSION NOW!
Just leave well enough alone. If they made a separate game with the clonewars themes that was also compatible then that would be cool.
After you TAP the card....

I give this game 2 years max, before FFG stops the support and close it down.
Everything you need to play is in the base box. What does it matter?
I still have Empire vs Rebellion. A simpler quicker game, but I'm super excited to sink my strategic teeth into this one!
