Since this video is now public, I have something to say. I have never ever forced anyone on this channel to anything. I take great care of every individual's religious and cultural sentiments. It's hard, real hard but I love what I do. Moments like in this video is why I am doing it in the first place. It's such an easy thing to play them videos, ask them to give opinions and stuff. That's not me, I take hours and hours just in discussions over a 5 minutes song and we keep learning without any limits. Thank you to all those who support me in this ❤️

To see Parvati learn about the place that the Earth has in the universe for the first time is truly a special experience. This is knowledge that she now has to share with others where possible and to build onto a foundation of learning that her job on this channel has given her. Good for her, and good for you.

She had most of the information she needed, but no one ever taught her the details so she never connected all the pieces. You can see the logic cross her as she starts to understand how it functions and it almost looks like she completely gets where she was mistaken as he demonstrates it. She isn't dumb, she just never had a reason to really think about it and so her first thoughts about it seemed logical enough. Now imagine how many super intelligent people get labeled as dumb or completely passed over just because there was never anyone to teach them and show their aptitude publicly. She understood his demonstration perfectly, she just needed the right viewpoint in order for it to make sense in her head.

So the right thing to do is not to "educate" people to believe it one way or another, but to teach them how can they use their own brains and figure out the right answer on their own. Can _you_ figure it out on your own? A dude named Eratosthenes did it more than 2000 years ago with primitive technology (just a stick and a well in Aswan), so it's not that hard. The hard part is to come up with the right way of doing it.

It's just enough that you don't need to work in order to afford rent in most student accommodation. That way you can choose to work on the side if you desire the extra money and work experience, but if you can't manage that, you can still get by. You can even get a state-sponsored interest-free loan if you need extra money upfront to pay a deposit or something. I've even heard of people getting into investing with that money.
And yes, I know it's a common reply that "it's not free if it's paid by taxes", but to a student coming directly from school it is essentially free, and as a post-graduate, I'd honestly be much happier to pay my stable high income tax knowing that it helps out students of all backgrounds rather than paying back my student debt with an interest rate that was decided almost entirely by market forces a decade ago and only helps the banks that profit off of the insecure financial situation of students.

Thank you for taking the time to address this when it came up! I don’t know if this would be practical, but here in the US, it’s common to make models of the solar system in school with different sized styrofoam balls. I think it helps when you actually put it together and see how big the differences are, how far away they are, how they move around each other. But that kind of thing might not be easily available where you are. The demonstration you just gave helped her learn so much already! You’re so kind to take the time to explain it 😊

get them some good binocolars (20x80 porro would be a decent one) and a good tripod. With good binoculars you can watch a close up of the moon, you can see the andromeda galaxy and even see the blurry rings of saturn. And you will see thousands of thousands stars, and if you are patient enough you can see elon musk Spacex see flying by

Living 'tribal' ways, or any societal way for that matter, should never be an excuse to deny learning to anyone, about the world around you regardless of status or gender. Education just brings more understanding of people not like yourself and perhaps more friendship and hopefully eliminates irrational fear that causes so much unwarranted pain and suffering. This lady's receptive reaction to learning is an educator's dream, and as an adult it is awesome to see any bias she may have been taught growing up, (if she has been taught such), has not deterred her to learning facts about her environment.

This reminds me of when I had a similar discussion with my older brother a few years back(he's almost 60 years old now). He thought that alot of the stuff that has to do with space was a lie, for example the planets, mainly due to the distances between stellar bodies. Up until the discussion we had that night (we were sitting outside talking, can't remember what brought the topic up) I never knew that's what he thought. No matter what I said though he refused to believe anything I told him which hit me kinda hard honestly as anything to do with space has been a passion of mine since childhood. Until I showed him that you could see Saturn's rings with nothing more than a basic telescope from Walmart that is which finally peaked his interest and he became more open to it all.
