- Hey you guys! Today's video is essentially a battle of the two gels
The wetline gel was arguably the most hyped gel the latter part of 2018, so i decided to compare it & put it to the test with one of the OG eco stylers that eeeveryone's familiar with. Let me know what you guys think of the results down below.

The wetline side, to me it looks more carefree yet defined 💯
I personally use Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie under wetline is perfect 👌 and super moisturizing and my second favorite combo is Eden bodyworks curl defining cream under wetline is moisturizing also
In conclusion, it all depends on your hair type and what you want your hair to look like
If your hair is 4a-4c, use wet line to give your curls their own personal space on a thick head of hair.
If you're anywhere between 2c-3c, you can get more volume with Eco, giving your hair some pretty big bunches up curls.
Wetline works really well on thick hair. It slips through so easily and it doesn't weigh your hair down as much. I normally use a denman brush then a wide tooth comb to evenly separate my hair while untangling it. hair.

I don’t really like hair gels because it feels like it’s just sitting on my hair and also causes my hair to flake and become hard. I prefer creamy products for my hair.

For your hair Eco gives you more volume but for me I would go for Wetline because my hair is already thick

I can’t believe you said that... You’re right tho... the eco styler and the curl enhancing smoothie is the “perfect combination”. But it took me years to figure it out.
The wetline side looks bomb and overall it seemed to perform better! Im actually filming this same vid soon!!!
Great video comparison, and I agree with your assessments of both gels. I like them both alot and I will continue to use them both because they are bomb. I personally like the wetline side a little more just because I like a more full, individualized, almost "shingled" wash and go. I personally like more hang time just because I have a consistent 4b curl pattern all around my head. (My shrinkage is unreal😭) And when my curls clump to much the wash and go looks to flat. But that's just me!😁
P.S. I love Kriya botanicals you and got me on them when you did the review a while ago. The whole low porosity line is amazing from slip, moisture, smell, and shine. (The leave in and Deep Conditioner are my faves!)
Ooooh yeah I understand that😭 it’s day later & the wetline side is now substantially looser than the eco side. So I see why more people lean towards the wetline

You should do eco styler gold vs blue wetline.
Personally bro I love eco style. Wetline is wayyyyy more volume, but it was very thick for me. Eco style is lighter and has more definition. I know I am probably wrong since it weighs down it should have more weight to it. I have low porosity so wetline takes forever to dry. As a 4a-c Eco style is a favorite and mixes better with leave in conditioner. It also feels way better after a shampoo or protein treatment.
That intro though that’s my favorite song (mind in awe (woah). )

I love you hair color😍 I like the wet line side It came out with more volume I haved tried the eco styler gel before and the wet line gel aswell when I use wet line my hair feels dry ass hell even after applying leave in conditioner and the eco styler gives me too much shinkage so this gels I only use them for my edges or when I wear my hair up to make my hair in the front look sleek but my favorite gel at this moment is Cantu define & shine custard but I apply a little cause if u put too much it can cause flaking but I love that gel😍

I haven't tried the wetline gel because u noticed they both have the Triethanolamine in it so what's the point. But based on your results I would rather the wetline results. Because with it clumping you have to go in and manually separate the curls and I hate when the ends stick together because if you mind going in with some oil and separating then go for the eco styler
Wetline is more affordable and wetline mixes with mostly every leave in as long as you put a good leave in and a good moisturizer you good

Honestly i haven’t tried Wetline but like my natural hair is thick so eco doesn’t hold it shit I’ve tried and it just doesn’t work for for me. Hell I even tried Gorrilla snot and it has my hair all dry looking and it’s just a mess to get out of my hair. I’ve been hearing about wetline a lot lately so I wanna try it and this video was really helpful with helping me decide if I should get it or not. Thank youuuu 😊😊😊

Honestly your hair looks like it definitely has more volume on the left side and it doesn't look as "frizzy" as the right side. The left side looks better to me because it's not weighed down and your curls appear to look better too.
How do you keep your hair from frizzing up, and how do you keep defined curls that are separated?
(for me) eco styler olive oil gel takes my frizz but that's for me

Wet line because I use eco right now and my hair is long but not long enough to where I can allow my hair to clump up together and still be long and curly. Eco makes my hair really dry the next day and I loose progress with my curls.😬 I need to find a way to get consistent curls🤔🤦🏽

So to sumerize it, eco is good for a wash and go and all the rest of the styles. But, WetLime cannot be used for a wash and go because it gets all hard and stiff which is why its ment for ponytails and that other stuff
