You want the real tea on it ☕️?! The only product I’ve loved and used by Cantu repeatedly was their coconut curling cream that you put back on the shelf lmao but when I bought the curl activator(because they didn’t have the coco curling creme) it worked the same.
But whenever I use Cantu’s curling creme with Shea moisture’s “gel curl soufflé”, and some oil to seal it all in, it leaves my hair superrrrr moisturized!!
The only other combination that can leave my hair moisturized is the “Shea moisture Curl enhancing smoothie” + the Gel curling soufflé w/oil. Everything else I’ve tried leaves my hair dryyyyy. I can only use Cantu and Shea moisture. But I’ve been using Shea moisture lately over Cantu just because I’ve been trying to products other than Cantu cause you know you just wanna switch it up.
Also, Cantu actually defined my curls really well by itself and they actually stay, or else I would’ve found another product lmao. I’ve never had a problem with flaking even when I used it with gel, and I actually used it with gel just because it did stop the gel from flaking. So I love the coconut curling creme by them (which like I said worked the same as the Curl activator, definition wise) and I have 3c/4a hair

Some products are stronger for men, I know face moisturisers and hand creams tend to be thicker and also smell more manly. I think the texture is different sometimes because men typically have rougher/tougher skin. But I’m not 100% sure, just what I’ve witnessed buying both men’s and woman’s products

Thanks for not jumping on the band wagon. I'm 4c/4b and cantu leave in conditioner was like my go to for years after first hearing about it and trying the product. So i was shocked to hear it was cancelled in 2017. I always liked that the product was heavy enough to actually moisturize and control my coarse hair. The only complaints I have is about the product consistency, some batches would work really good for my hair and sometimes they'd be a lil off, for example the last batch I bought was too thick and didn't spread well on my hair. Other complaints with the product came from having to wait for the white spots to dry if I'm in a rush to go but I was probably a lil heavy handed as well. I did try and like their sulfate free shampoo and conditioner as well.
Cantu curl activator cream + Cantu define and shine custard = definition for days. My hair is like 3c/4a.

This is my first time watching one of your videos and let me just say that I love you! lol. I use cantu alot. I'm in love with their co-wash and their coconut curling cream! Other than that i've been moving on to shea moisture products because of the scare that was out about their ingredients earlier in the year.
I absolutely love the curl activating cream. It feels so good on my hair and brings it so much moisture. I don’t like the leave in conditioner though because it flakes on my hair.

I LOOOOOOVVEEEE me some Cantu! I just switched to it from Shea Moisture and it's definitely giving me the moisturization that I've been wanting and looking for. It's brought out my natural curls the most next to Taliah Waajid's "Curl Curl Cream" but I stopped using that line because it has sulfates in it.
I first tried the "Coconut Curling Cream," "Coconut Oil Shine and Hold Mist," and "Comeback Curl Next Day Curl Revitalizer." I loved the first two - didn't care for the revitalizer - then decided to buy the "Cleansing Cream Shampoo" and the "Hydrating Cream Conditioner" and was completely hooked after I tried them! I then went out and bought the "Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream" and I think it's the product I've been unknowingly searching for the past 2 years lol. I loved it so much I thought about replacing it all together for the "Coconut Curl Cream" but I realized it's used for moisturizing while the curl activator is used for styling. So I think I might just keep both and keeping using them thus.
During the shampooing and conditioning, I had a very nice lather, great aroma, almost sticky mushy texture (in a good way!), and felt like the product was actually being soaked into each strand. After rinsing, my hair felt soooo soft and like it had a moisturized cleanse! After I put in the curling cream, curl activator, and shine & hold mist, I put a little "Argon Oil Ecco Styler Gel" just to keep a more defined curl definition. There's no cast and my hair doesn't get crunchy! It all maintains a wonderful soft texture and beautiful shine!!
I also get what you mean about the light affecting how your hair looks. It's hard for me post pics on Instagram of my hair cause I feel my camera/ lighting never does it justice.

I use Cantu curl activator and sometimes the curl cream on the very ends of my hair that I want defined but as a moisturizer, I can only use TGIN buttercream and seal my hair with Blue Magic hair grease. I use Olive Oil eco styler if I want a puff or more defintion and add grease on top of that too just to seal in the moisture. That curl activator is holy grail for me as TGIN and Blue Magic are staples too.
I love the coconut curling cream,it’s my favorite product from Cantu,it works really good in my hair,it defines it really nicely and I usually use the black caster oil and flaxseed eco styled gel for my wash and goes and my hair comes out so shiny and defined

I've started my hair journey and I'm starting out with Cantu.. I've just been using the shampoo and conditioner and the curling cream.. I use a deep conditioner called rich Royals. So far it's been okay. Honestly if I can get your kind of style hair I'd feel complete
The Curl Activating Cream seems to be the only Cantu product that works for my hair.
The other Cantu products just dry out my hair and make it flakey.
I'm giving those to my mom to test out, since in general a lot of products that don't work for me seem to work great for her.
If I remember, I'll update this after she tells me how it works for her.

Granted I’m like a type 2 ish to 4... but my favorite is the Cantu comeback curl (Shea butter spray. Not the kind with coconut oil).
I use the curl activator cream and I love it! It defines my curls wonderfully.

The Cantu shea butter for natural hair products don't have the harmful alcohol in it. The curling cream for natural hair that you passed on works really good for my hair along with leave in conditioning cream for natural hair. They work great for daughter's hair as well and they work good with eco style gels. The definition of our curls are always popping & moisturized. We both have really thick hair and the heavy creams work great for us.
My hair has been a mess for over a month and honestly this really made me think about how I’ve been approaching how I’ve been taking care of it. I use Cantu when I wash my hair but my hair always suffers from shrinkage
I like the activator with the gel oil. My hair is very similar to yours.
Right now I prefer Jane Carter and Camille Rose.
I have the cleansing shampoo, which I hear tangles a lot of people's hair (but not mine) and it works for me. I also have the coconut curling cream and that cream really curls my hair and leaves it soft. I like to mix the coconut curling cream and Shea moisture's JBC in a spray bottle with water as my daily refresher, it works really well at hydrating my hair between wash days.
I began my natural hair journey with cantu everything the shampoo conditioner deep conditioner curling cream n shine n hold mist n it did wonders for my hair but as my hair grew longer cantu shampoo n deep conditioner was tangling in my hair n I couldn't detangle very well so I switched to Aussie n kept the curling cream n shine n hold mist n it makes my hair feel great....also new subscriber here been seeing yuh on Instagram for a while n finally saw a video on UA-cam

I use Cantu especially during the winter months. I use the leave in, coconut curling cream and curl activator and my hair loves it. Its my daily routine. I didn't care too much for the mouse for some reason my hair didn't take to it.
The curl activator always leaves my hair with flakes even when used alone or with the leave in :/
From what I have been told, the Isopropyl Alcohol can be drying to the hair when used on its own but this is not the case with Cantu. less than 1/25 of a teaspoon is used which evaporates before it reaches your hair. The formula has actually not changed from its previous ones. it now just been posted in the ingredients.
I am not really fazed because the leave does not dry out my hair at all. Actually one of my best leave in's.
Love cantu curl activator. It works the best for me when I use it to refresh my curls. Day 1 I use devacurl arc angel gel and one condition. But when I refresh with Cantu it leaves my hair sooooooo soft and defined (which I love since I'm currently transitioning back to natural)! The leave in conditioner has bad ingredients so I stay away from that.
I absolutely love cantu products I use the, Cantu Shampoo and conditioner and the deep conditioner and like 3 of their styling products I love them sooo much. But they make my hair a little dry not much and cause tangles.. However it makes my hair thicker and I noticed it has helped my hair grow so much.. So I just find ways to add extra moisture cause I love it way more than any thing I ever used. It has more pros than cons.

Well I loved the Cantu custard and mask because it helped me get my curls back. I don’t use the conditioner or shampoo but I do use the leave in conditioner

Hey, I personally think you should try and set your lens on manual focus rather than automatic when you’re sitting in front of the camera like this because it’s a little annoying watching some of your videos and it’s constantly trying to re-focus. I use natural cantu leave- in and shea moisture coconut hibiscus souffle works really good to me.
I only started rising their leave in because the normal leave in that I use (curls and naturals) was out of stock. Now that i know whats behind them this will be the first and last that I'll purchase their leave in.
I use the Cantu curling cream and the leave in conditioner for twists out and styling those the only products i use from Cantu
I don't use all the cantu product I have only use the coconut curling cream and it gave me great definition on my twist out. But my hair is much thicker texture so I'm not sure if it would do the same for you.

I've used their deep conditioner but I accidentally ordered the one for color treated hair but it made my hair pretty soft. I did plop overnight not until it was dry the way I like it and I used the hibiscus and coconut smoothie and I love that but Idk if it was the cantu but my curls barely stayed the way they were my hair looked like it does on day 4 at the end of day 1. i can usually get 2 pretty good days after washing sooo?
I use Cantu's shampoo and conditioner and it works great. Sometimes I use the daily moisturizer and it's fine.
I liked the Shea butter leave in conditioner but when I tried the argan oil version of the leave in conditioner, it flaked all over the place so I didn't really like that one.
I always use the Cantu repair leave in cream for the LOC method. I use a leave in spray, then oil, then the leave in cream and then gel if im doing a wash and go. I cant believe this alcohol business but it works for me. I dont use anything else from Cantu. The come back curl revitalizer spray i never use I dont care for it waters better. My hairs high porosity and the cream helps keep my hair moisturized and soft. Idk what other kind of cream to use. I dont use curl creams/smoothies
i remember the first time i tried cantu products specifically the leave in conditioner and detangler it left my hair greasy, dry, sticky and literally changed it’s natural color from black to gray. i absolutely hate it! wasn’t the most pleasant experience.. at least it works with some people tho, and hopefully they make a new line with an improved version of this one and to remove all the toxic chemicals they add to it. xx
