Woh...that last image of that giant claw...unbelievable !! I cannot comprehend the manufacturing and tooling involved in forging such a beast...I've never seen anything like this, would like to see this in action...Massive is an understatement lol!
I enjoyed this video. Thank you. I had heard that there were no more drones allowed. Glad you were able to get footage. I have been watching bridge engineer videos about how this bridge was built. Hopefully new bridge will be built differently. Not a fan of bridges at all but they are necessary. Great coverage.
I saw the restrictions for UAVs on some channel. I guess it is almost required because the number of UAVs that would be swarming the site if not restricted. I also saw a video of one of the road workers trucks being lifted on to a barge. It looked like it was in very good condition considering what it went through. Hoping that when they get the Dali ready to move you are able to get some video. Not that it will be easy to move, but I think they will do it without any real drama. Wish they would let a responsible pilot like you go in closer with the drone at least once a day or so!
Do the math. $60 million over 60 days is a pretty good job for these guys. The hardest part was, "Where do we start?" and getting everything there. It was the photos of the guys on the Dali removing containers and looking at the twisted steel while standing on the 20' x 20' concrete block from the FSC, that shows the scale of work. I would say the scrapers are getting the steel for free to cover overhead. "Get it gone, yesterday!" is the job description and what's $.5 - 2 million on this job.
Yes, I think alot of people that were writing negative comments during the start of getting cranes in, realized the massive scale of the bridge. They were just impatient thinking those pieces could be snatched up and moved in a day. They are quieter these past few days.
The video quality/subject coverage here is what I’ve been hoping/waiting to see from the Minorcan Mullet. Very interesting! How does your drone operation play out against local/federal authority restrictions ie is a permit required beyond the FAA or you simply getting video beyond the restricted zone. Thanks.
They seem to have moved a lot of material from our right hand side. Since the ramps are still there. I'm wondering if they should just replace the fallen section and then build a better more modern bridge on either side. Maybe there is a way to use accelerated bridge construction for the fallen section that could carry limited traffic?

The scope of this project is staggering. Under normal demolition constraints the planning would probably take a couple of years before any equipment got moved on to the site.
yup... and yet there are still people screaming that they are taking too long and we should get another company to do the job. Shaking my head over that part.
Thank you Andy and great to see videos taken from the water. I have a question.. are there boats or equipments working on this project that were already present on the Golden Ray project ?
Interesting how the "grappler crane" at Sparrows Point had to do so much maneuvering before and after picking up its load. I wonder why. Would the drone show us what was causing those moves? (Keep up the good work, and thank you for what you have put up.) Cheers from Australia.
The footage of the large plates with dozens of nuts/bolts not merely "sheared off" but rather completely absent as if never having been present. We saw the same thing at the ends of every column of steel at the WTC on 911 -- the four huge bolt (or perhaps rivets in that case) holes, each and every one always missing nut/bolt/rivet, again as if such had never been present. It does seem to be an effect of the directed energy weapons to "dustify" metals of differing materials. Just another anomaly observed.
