I understand paid administrative duty because in this country your “supposed to be innocent until proven guilty “ but if your found guilty of whatever then you should be stripped of qualified immunity and depending on the incident turn in your law enforcement certification. A lot resign and get hired somewhere else

The selfishness of people taking the life of their children's parents is mind-blowing. It's ALL about them and they have ZERO care and concern for the rest of the victims they leave in their wake. May she Ellie rest in peace and may her children find the love and care they need with those they will be with.

It’s selfish to take someone else’s life irregardless of if that person is the parent of their children. Yes, it adds another dimension of cruelty to it and demonstrates he doesn’t care about his kids either, but simply depriving this woman of the opportunity to live the rest of her life is an atrocity in its own right.

Most likely the medical examiner determined she wasn’t deceased at the time the text was sent also she was at home in bed possibly indicating she actually wasn’t feeling well and was resting (most likely sleeping which would be the reason she didn’t move or fight back).

What you really should be saying is sometimes it boils down to a man's ego can't take it. It's not so much that he really gives a damn about being the one to take care of the kids, but he doesn't want to have custody go to the wife because it will make him look bad. Also some men just can't take it that their wife is really going to leave them. They thought they could just keep up with their nonsense forever and that she would never actually go through with it. So let's call it what it is: egotism, immaturity and insecurity foolishly thinking that this will end the feelings that they can't stand.

By his own will he cheated, he got caught, and the line of consequences followed including being put on administrative leave and a wife with valid reasons wanting space and wanting out of the marriage.
His thought process was “is your fault all this is happening to me” and he decided to end her life for something he, himself caused. Now, if it wasn’t a higher power or Ellie’s soul after death starting that recorder to incriminate him. Then he, himself by his own will committed murder, got caught by self snitching, and now he created a new line of consequences. Sadly one of those consequences is leaving his children orphans. What a lowlife!
