- My korg Monologue together with the Digitech Polara. I've build some custom patches and demonstrate them with the use of the Polara. I highly recommend both. Good value for money!
You will probably recognise some songs or sounds. thank you for watching and give me a like if you want to.

Oscillator Sink : • Korg Monologue Tricks ...
has some great videos on how to create your own patches, definitely check that out.
Listen with headphones is highly recommended.
The Monologue has an excellent sequencer plus the four modulation tracks. The lever is cool too. Very intuitive for pitch bending, it reminds me of the old Oberheim pitch and mod levers.
You don't see many people rocking the monologue in gold, it actually looks pretty nice
Wow, awesome skills
I love the sounds dude, I also love how when ever someone demos a synth they go all 1980s detective thriller movie.
Thank you. Yes, 1980 all the way. Love that era. I am a child from the late 60's, so I was a teenager back then. I had to force myself not to play the twilight zone.
Thanks for the patches, nice gold faceplate.
Those are some great sounding patches - you have a real ear for those classic sounds! You should make these patches available for people to download. (and thank you for the shout-out!)
Also make sure you submit this video to Matrix Synth to spread the word!
Thank you! I will make them available for download.
I've made the patches free for download and spread the word!
have you tried the dutch bass and soundtrack from Korg there is some real gems in there in classic analog terms. Also my ear and soul are effected by my slow lfo jams this how i know its analog keys because I sleep better actually
where can I download your patches?
One of the better demos of this synth, pretty much sold it on me.
Thank you!
Nice 👍🏻
Gotta Agree this is one of the Better Demos I Have seen, Very Nice Patches, after seeing this I bought a Polara
Great !! 👍
Great sounds, love those new Korg synths...
Dude. These patches are awesome. Congrats on being a fucking genius and thank you for the free patches!!
As a new Monologue owner and total NewB at synth, this and other vids by worthy individuals ( Oscillator Sink to name one) are just marvellous and I really appreciate your time and effort.
Can you show where/what connections should be done for your performance ?
Love my monologue. Totally worth the money. Really thinking about picking up a polara now. The sound is nice!
really nice patches! thanks for sharing
This is amazing! Thank you so much for the video and the patches ;)
Thanks for the great patches! I haven't bought my Monologue yet, but I'm saving them. Also, your demonstration is a lot better than most UA-camrs who usually just show bleeps and blops that are useless for actual music production. #petpeeve
Thank you.
@4:18 it's from DAF - Mussolini
Correct. I tried to recreate that "deutsche neue welle" sound.
Really nice video. I love my Monologue and I’m looking for a reverb and delay. Really useful, thanks.
I am glad you liked it. Have fun with it. I have the Digitech Obscura for delay as well. Will post a video on that soon.
I recommend You mooer ocean Maschine I use it with a monologue and a volca modular, it's crazy, anazings soundscapes
Great sounds, really impressed. Thank you :-)
Thank you. I will be posting some new patches soon.
thanks! some really cool tones :)
thanks
Sounds great! 😍 How do you like that pitch bend slider thing?
Don't use it that much. It is ok but a joystick would have nicer. It is still a budget synth.
Oh...!!! OMD "Message", sounds like the Korg Micropreset.
Don't know the Microkorg patches.
At their debuts, OMD used a synth called Korg Micropreset and made this sequence with that synth in "Message".
Thanks for the info. Did not know of a Micropreset.
The sounds this thing produces are just so rough. Like they need 220 grit sandpaper.
Kraftwerk "The man machine" at 6'43.
Right!
Well done for doing your own patches.
I like the majority of them.
There are quite a few with the 80 presets that come with the monologue that are quite naff.
Can I replace those 80 with my own?
Thanks for a good vid.
No, you can not replace those. They are fixed.

Blow and blast.
That's a shame.
But somebody somewhere will make a hack for it hopefully.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Monologue have a interesting and good sound, but mono-reverberators this is a strange thing for me...
Great patches! Can I still download them? If so, can you provide a link? Thanks!!!
Download link in description.
@@synriser6742 : Thanks 🤩!
Can you tell me the name of the “Man Machine” and “Mussolini” Patches specifically?
@@thomasmehl63 Sorry, I sold the Monologue. Don't know the path names anymore
@@thomasmehl63 Sequence is stored with the patch
Question about the Polara, if u input mono and output stereo. Does it create stereo? Can't find a definitive answer.
Have to check that. I will let you know.
If it's a stereo effects your running it thru , it can start out as mono but the signal you'll be getting back will be stereo, how noticeable depends on the actual effecting of the sound, I.e with a chorus , you'll hear the phasing of the L and R... so yes. (Btw I have a polara with minilogue ) I've recorded into logic as stereo track and the l and r do tend to differ/fluctuate instead of being the same like a mono signal would be.
so.. polara and monolgue worth at recording?
how do i move the presets onto the Monologue ?? sysex ?
You have to use the monologue/Sound Librarian to import. You will not override the first 80 standards presets. You can only save the last 20 patches. Here is the download link for the Librarian: www.korg.com/us/support/download/software/0/733/3531/. If you want to be sure you can save your own patches first.
What sound is that thing from 1:07 on? I' been trying to get that kinda sound on my minilogue.
How can I import them into my Korg Monologue. I know how to import Molgpreset files, but this Molglib I have never used before. I am afraid I loose my standard presets... :-)

I use that software for the 2 pieces of downloads from the korg site. But they are Molgpreset. And not Molglib. In that sound librarian there is not a thing I can select where its supports that Molglib file you shared, can you help me, loved that DAF sound...
Are there Mac versions of the various Monologue apps?

Indeed ; ) klatsch' in die Hände
