I have seen Billy Joe Shaver 2 times with this Great Band ! He puts his Heart & Soul into his songs ! So does this Band he always says he is lucky to have them. Jeremy Woodall has some very good music out himself and a tribute album to Billy Joe . Bugs Henderson has a song "Wish I Could Write Like Billy Joe". Maybe Billy Joe's helping Bugs write one now! Wills Jr.
The best! Epitomizes real country music. Wrote some of Waylon's best songs. Lived an amazing life. Read his biographies.

The greatest billy joe story was when he opened up for the greatful dead and they gave him a lot of acid that billy explains he did way too much then he passed out in the parking lot of a honkey tonk and he watched a big brown reculse spider bite him and the spider died from all the acid billy joe took 😂
It's interesting this man is still breathing air. Met him back in New Braunfels TX back in 2018 and went to see his show there.
He died a few years ago.

This was 2015. We shot about 15 shows at Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos, TX in conjunction with The Center for Texas Music History and Kent Finlay. Be sure to check out the TMC Monte Montgomery and Marcia Ball performances recorded at CSW. CSW is where George Straight played his first gigs as the Ace In The Hole Band.
There is also a TMC Kimberly Kelly show shot in 2016.
