Great Video as always, a really underrated way of playing Brandenburg is actually going for a decentralized HRE. You essentially try to have as many nations in the HRE as possible to get the manpower and forcelimit bonuses, you just declare on HRE members to release small Tags. And the reason you do this with Prussia is because of the huge governing cost debuff they have, this way you get a lot of bonuses whiteout need to spend governing capacity. I am aware that going for Revoke the Privilegia is still better, but i feel like with Prussia its actually worth it going for the decentralized options.
DUDE just started a new Brandenburg run cause why not. I allied Burgundy cause it worked well with the alliance sets I was working with. I didn’t even really want the succession but did anyways. Then I formed Prussia, which has a 50% gov cap malus and right then and there the horse event happened 😂 been like 950/400 gov cap for DECADES now. I’m not sure what I’ll do lol cause even with the emperor rank it doesnt help much. Built courthouses and statehouses in EVERY.SINGLE.PROVINCE. And still say over gov cap. I’m gunning for admin now but even the finisher wont get me below gov cap. Never wanted to lose lands so badly 😂 it’s especially painful because sure you get all the downsides of being over gov cap, but as Prussia, ir also affect the militarization mechanic and it basically doesnt work even with the lvl3 brandenburg gate because it goes down so fast.
You could always release them/the Dutch minors. It's honestly not a bad idea to avoid the rebellions later. Assuming you haven't switched your capital over there
THE FRANCONIAN yes, it is a pain in the ass, maxing alliances and after three runs I finally got it, really got hysterical just like you haha relieving after you achieve that mission.
Bro, my Ansbach Succession is WILD.. During my Stettin war, I decided to vassalize East Frisia.. I didnt know this at the time, but Munster and Friesland had declared on East Frisia, so I got dragged into 2 defensive wars.. I gave Friesland lands to East Frisia, and noticed Berg and Nassau declared on Munster so I vassalized them.. A couple days later, the Austrian Emporer died, and I became the Emporer! (Whoop whoop!) The VERY next day, my ruler died.. I kept Emporership, but now the Ansbach Succession has fired.. So I have 5 years to take those lands, while a coalition of the north german nations has begun to form.. and yet I still have to deal with Berg/Nassau.. I'm damned if i do,damned if i dont.
I always have to argue with people about the bias in the news they are presented. Having it all there is awesome! 👏 I’ll definitely be passing along …..Ludi…. Where’s my wallet?
Getting Konigsburg is important to get the diamond district for some extra permanent trade bonus there if you can get 50 prestige and feudal before anyone else
Back to Brandenbasics, I like it. One note: it's "case in point", not the other way around. The idea is that this one point illustrates your whole case. (Have heard you do it several times)
Ludi: *flips the same bun 360* I swear guys, it's the first Brand-(new)en-burg(er) campaign I've done. There, my attempt at a silly bun... I mean pun. (Hai noroc)
Ludi you probably already know this but you also have a relatively good chance at a PU on Bohemia early game it’s difficult and requires luck but It’s definitely possible
I like how every time Ludi plays Brandenburg he expands like he's taking a bunch of 1/1/1 provinces and then ends up with half of Europe coalitioning against him.
I am once again reminding Ludi he could have given all but one of Opole's provinces to Poland, release them from the one province he took for himself and ask Poland to return the provinces for favors. Please Ludi, don't sleep on the favor interactions. "Return core" and "break alliance" are some of the most overlooked mechanics in the game.
watch my byz campaign part 4 and see for yourself, i explain it there, but in large i keep +1 mana priviledge and a few others the entire game, sicne you can get 100 absolutism with those still
I also had the same feeling with most nations when playing outside europe or playing other nations than my favourites in europe I recommend vijianagar i found it way more fun than bengal And i really thought i wouldnt like playing in asia in general after playing korea because i didnt really enjoy it But unifying japan and going both colonial and conquest oriented after that is really fun the whole playthrough i did it as oda. And mamluks is probably my favourite non european country its so fun and you got so many expansion paths. Asside from that my favourites are france, poland and saluzzo. But yeah i really recomend those nations if you ever want to try playing outside of your favourites again
I still think it is weird that the fleets of conquered countries just vanish. They could at least become pirates, and bother the various countries like in EU3,
Ludi you look physically unwell? Im not sure if its new lighting or a new camera but youre looking alot thinner and paler. I really hope youre doing alright
I played with Brandenburg recently and around 1550 i got like 400 AE for provinces like bremen. so it is nearly impossible to conquer anything. Is this a bug or did i miss something?
bUt lUdI I dOnT kNoW wHaT eStAtEs tO GiVe bRo (most likely badly written because i could not understand all sentence thanks to ludi making that french cat meme's face)

Love your videos!💚
bro You've reached the point where they're buying advertising from you. Congratulations.
I've been watching your videos for I don't remember how long.
Paradox: we just released a new middle eastern update
Lubi: PRUSSIA IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN NEW PATCH
YUP
Lol))
Ludi like to conquer MIDDLE EASTERN Prussia and middle eastern Europe.
Go watch habibi for that good Persia gameplay
Persia, Prussia, tomato, potato
Ludi playing as Brandenburg? What next, Florence!?
Would never happen this way more than once... right?
Nah He's probably gonna try a nation he never played with.....
So maybe Byzantium
Netherlands I bet
@@lucifel35 imagine if he really does Wallachia (he wouldn't) LOL
Literally the two best choices.
Seeing Ludi actually struggle with the Franconia bits was pretty nice. Great to see how he reacts under pressure.
The only combination that's more expected than Ludi playing Brandenburg is Koifish playing Hæsteinn.

Also it’s a fun way to play Prussia for those who do the usually route
Hope you are well ludi, I always enjoy your videos when eating food
Same here :)
0:29 Ludi: its not gonna be a rush, instead completely beginner friendly
also Ludi in the title: EXPAND 20x FASTER!!!!
37:40 now that was propper acting, I felt your pain
Can't believe it took a whole 11 days into 2024 before Ludi gave us a Brandenburg video. Is his love for them fading? Great stuff, enjoyed it!
Every Ludi video has:
-Mana privileges;
-Rants about siege ticks.
Love it. Dont ever change Ludi.
Don't forget the historically accurate flagship names. 😊
My eyes were not prepared for clean shaven Ludi.
If my mental math is right, holding off on the priveleged gave you an extra 4% crownland. Which isn't nothing, but it's not a lot.
14:55 yo you’re freakin out my dog
One of the best intros I see in last 60 seconds
“No one chooses” - literally yesterday finished my Prussia HRE run and finally earned “Voltaire’s nightmare” 😂
Eeeeee, really efficient beginning!

Hello, have you ever try to play Brandenburg? It’s pretty fun!

Ludi came back with Prussia... I mean, Brandenburg. I totaly menat it. And with a high quality advertisement. Glad that you get interesting sponsors.

WOW :) what an intro. Already entertained
THE FRANCONIAN yes, it is a pain in the ass, maxing alliances and after three runs I finally got it, really got hysterical just like you haha relieving after you achieve that mission.
Ludi and Brandenburg, name a more iconic duo
Great video as always!
great, brandenburg, what's a week without a new ludi brandenburg video!
Really cool idea to play it like this. enjoy watching it so far : )
Great video! Love it!
Name a more iconic duo than ludi and brandenburg
Koifish and Haesteinn.

That Ground news ad was exactly what I was looking for ❤
I was genuinely mega hyped for the sponsorship as I love the website from waaay before they email me :D
I always have to argue with people about the bias in the news they are presented. Having it all there is awesome! 👏

Happy for Ludi that he gets ads in his videos ❤ (Romanian loves me some money 🤩🤩🤑🤑🤑🤑)

Hurray Mr. Ludi Sir plays my Homeland. This means Schnaps, Schnitzel and Stackenweipen right and left. Go Mr. Ludi Sir. Make Brandenburg great again.
I like how every time Ludi plays Brandenburg he expands like he's taking a bunch of 1/1/1 provinces and then ends up with half of Europe coalitioning against him.
This is a fire episode
yes indeed sir
THE POLES!
Yeeey, I missed Ludi!
i am back :D
You can do it Ludi. Greetings from the mighty prussian lands, cause i‘m from Magdeburg. 😅
"A little bit of a paradigm." I think you meant "Paradox". Like the ones who make EU4 🤣 Cool to see BB back, lfg
Was gonna go to sleep, then Ludi uploaded
HEEEELLL YEAH BRUDAH
I’m literally playing as Brandenburg right now
I am once again reminding Ludi he could have given all but one of Opole's provinces to Poland, release them from the one province he took for himself and ask Poland to return the provinces for favors.
Please Ludi, don't sleep on the favor interactions. "Return core" and "break alliance" are some of the most overlooked mechanics in the game.
Break alliance is so strong on very hard. Helps as a last ditch effort to break an alliance chain
Brandenburg is to Ludi as Haistain is to Koifish!
When do you typically repeal the estates? In age of absolutism?
watch my byz campaign part 4 and see for yourself, i explain it there, but in large i keep +1 mana priviledge and a few others the entire game, sicne you can get 100 absolutism with those still
u can ally ansbach for the mission ludi, them the chance is higher, that ansbach conquer provinces for your mission :P
I prefer to ally Ansbach and feed them the required provinces before the event. That way you have no AE
Why you can call Austria if yuo ara in war with hre with bohemia
My addictions are Brandenburg, France, Milan and Florence. I did try a bit of Poland, England and even the occasional Bengal, but none of them lasted.
I also had the same feeling with most nations when playing outside europe or playing other nations than my favourites in europe
I recommend vijianagar i found it way more fun than bengal
And i really thought i wouldnt like playing in asia in general after playing korea because i didnt really enjoy it

Very nice, I like Brandenburg, Novgorod, England, Papal States, France, Poland, and colonial Ming :)
I don't know if I've fast forwarded or what, but why did ludi's cash went from 2 to 40? I didn't hear anything about restarting (maybe I missed it)
Well spotted! I did the intro in a separate take from the actual run so it was actually a restart xD
Ludi if you want a path that no one choose then go brandenburg---> hansa( get the moral or disc on teuton lands ) then form prussia
Ludi thinks like MAPPA , AOT is finished Brandenburg also has to
I still think it is weird that the fleets of conquered countries just vanish. They could at least become pirates, and bother the various countries like in EU3,
Sup ludi
what dlc for the missions?
Ludiii can you do an Video of ottomans being catholic???
You're up +500 likes in the time it took me to watch this video.
doing my bit to hit the like goal. Hope we get Brandenburg the movie.
We all have our own Brandenburg in the heart
any benefits expanding into sweden or denmark early as brandenburg?
Money
A route of expansion for cheaper AE and control over the Baltic trade
You called Anhalt more times as Ansbach than as their real name XD
Also cant you declare all the wars for the franconian provinces and sit on them and then peace out after you click the mission button?
nope, you need to OWN those provinces, not CONTROL them if I remember correctly
i meant if you get claims before via ansbach for example, so you dont have to worry about the 5 year window@@LudietHistoria
This run is more beginner friendly and more experienced player friendly. It's just friendly!
Brandenburg and Florence are literally the two best choices.
Will you make protestant HRE or remain Catholic ?
Ludi tent rush german borders the Teutonic order and form Germany without tec 20

Why are you so tired-looking? BranTIREDburg run!))
I played with Brandenburg recently and around 1550 i got like 400 AE for provinces like bremen. so it is nearly impossible to conquer anything. Is this a bug or did i miss something?
HRE provinces cause extra AE and i think free cities like bremen cause even more extra AE, so gotta be careful.

Ludi can stop playing bradenburg anytime, he is not addicted or anything

brunswick is the better brandenburg...you still get to be prussia but you get the goodness of a great britain PU from forming hannover in between step
