I've just started skating lessons three years ago and I've always thought maybe in a couple of years I could do this. Luckily my coach actually tours with Disney On Ice and he told me there was no age limit. Which was great news for me because that's what I was really worried about when I thought about maybe doing this because I started learning how to skate a few years later than I wanted to. If you aren't very flexible and you don't have that much upper body strength could you still be hired for the show to just stay on the ice with the other ensemble groups?
Do you think it's possible to perform for Disney On Ice if you started skating after turning 18? I have been skating for 21 months (including the last two months where the rink has been closed for quarantine) Right now I'm working on all single jumps, back scratch spin, forward sit and camel, working on higher spirals as well. Tests I'm working towards: MITF preliminary, Pattern Dance Preliminary (solo but I should switch to partnered) Competed in one competition but there was no one else in my level and performed twice at one showcase If I keep working at it, do you think it's possible to preform for Disney on Ice in the future?
Hey it’s me again. Would they accept Special Olympic skaters/adaptive skaters? I don’t think they can do double or triple jumps. Would they still consider you to come for an audition?
I'm 12 years old and I'm on my double toe and double loop and really want to be able to be a Disney skater! I know I can't untill I'm 18 but do you think I'm at a high enough level now to legitimately get there? Thank you soo much for your videos!
Thankyou so much for sharing
