LOL that said, I now like disco ha but in 1978. no way jose! All of my friends in 10th grade listened to this album every day!
I'm right along side you Russ. I was 15 yrs old when the Cheap Trick (1977) album arrived and it changed my whole perspective on what's cool. That first album of theirs is crunchy, chunky w/ a little dark sauce poured into it. Sex Pistols, Dead Boys, Damned, Ramones, Blondie...and more, were all swirling around the underground at that from away from mainstream and informed my tastes from that point on. SO much good music from the alt underground those days. Will not / do not do mainstream since. Always looking for new stuff. CT might be considered 'classic rock' these days yet from the start their earthy melodic blend of Who/Beatles gave me my wakeup from the 'cock-rock' bands of those times. Forever Fan. J_
#14 has a cheap trick on it. Insert and hit start then hit rewind quickly to get to the negative numbered bonus stuff:) Works with MOST but not all CD players.

It was so worth the trip to Bun E on the kit for the first time in eight years, bittersweet knowing all along that it would be the final time. At this point, it would take an act of God to see another such event. Only because it was the long coveted & so very well-deserved Hall of Fame could Robin bite the bullet & share the stage with old Bun. I'm sure it took a lot of booze for Robin to do it. And if you check the unedited footage, during Bun drum solo, Robin put his back to the audience & pissed on the kit. Unless you were upfront there really isn't a chance for most to see the stream, but you can tell the quick arm shake to fling the last drop off followed by the upward motion of zipping up. It was Robin's personalized FU for man welding the sticks. And, God bless him, Bun E didn't lose a beat, totally ignored Robin's inebriated behavior. Total professional. @@matthewstreet1961 I got the Japan "Out To Get You!" 2 CD highlights of the Whisky 1977 box set. Mine would be shuffled a bit, but I can't correct someone's likes and dislikes. Love of Cheap Trick is enough in my book. My sister had three 8 tracks in her Firebird, Traffic Low Spark, Dream Police (which I think my brother actually purchased) and maybe Harvest? Can't remember exactly.
Heaven Tonight is my #1 and Dream Police is my #2. But I have to admit that I didn't pay too much attention to their albums after they left Epic. And that is a lot of albums to catch up on!
Does the 2017 Christmas album include 'I Want You for Christmas' (the seasonal remake of 'I Want You to Want Me') where can I find it? Most of us missed-out on the first two Cheap Trick albums, Heaven Tonight was the gate-way album for the lifelong fans in-earnest. I agree with your choices as you have ranked them. My thought would only be Heaven Tonight had more 'edge', while 'Dream Police' sounded more 'commercial' back-in-the-day.
Wow. Special One at 20. It really is an underrated gem. I believe its on par with the first 5, 97, and WUWAM. And Busted so high? Also surprising. I think its their worst. Woke Up With a Monster 9. Next Position Please 10. The Latest 11. Rockford 12. One on One 13. In Another World 14. Bang Zoom Crazy... Hello 15. We're All Alright! 16. Lap of Luxury 17. The Doctor 18. Standing on the Edge 19. Busted
In Color is too low here, that’s my number one. Another World is good but I feel you’ve overrated it. Bang Zoom Crazy Hello is also lower than where I’d put it, I don’t see how there’s such a big gap between it and the two after it, especially We’re Alright which I feel is inferior. I’d also swap All Shook Up and Next Position Please. Now to what I do agree with. Special One is the worst, Busted is better than Lap Of Luxury. Cheap Trick 97 is overrated. I also like where you ranked three of my favourites, One On One, WUWAM and Rockford which I’d actually have even higher.

Thanks Sally! CT are great no matter how we rank their albums! Cheers 🍻
Heaven Tonight is my #1 and Dream Police is my #2. But I have to admit that I didn't pay too much attention to their albums after they left Epic. And that is a lot of albums to catch up on!
Hey we were close on 1 and 2! Lots of fab power pop after the Epic years!!!
Can you honestly tell me you forgot…forgot the magnetism of Robin Zander, or the charisma of Rick Nielson? (Hopefully you get the reference). 👍✌️
Knock it off Damone!!!!!! Ha ha!
What about the tunes? I want you to want me! The dream Police da da da da da da da da!
@@toms4442 Cut it out Damone!!! Ha!
No, that song's not on my CD. Thanks for your insight and thoughts on CT. One of my fave bands of all time! Merry Christmas! Matt
@@matthewstreet1961 A very Merry Christmas to you and your family. Peace on Earth for 2023.
Wow. Special One at 20. It really is an underrated gem. I believe its on par with the first 5, 97, and WUWAM. And Busted so high? Also surprising. I think its their worst. That being said, there are no bad Cheap Trick albums.
1. Cheap Trick (1977)
2. Dream Police
3. All Shook Up
4. Heaven Tonight
5. In Color
6. Cheap Trick (1997)
7. Special One
8. Woke Up With a Monster
9. Next Position Please
10. The Latest
11. Rockford
12. One on One
13. In Another World
14. Bang Zoom Crazy... Hello
15. We're All Alright!
16. Lap of Luxury
17. The Doctor
18. Standing on the Edge
19. Busted
I pretty much love them all Reggie! But Special One has never sat well with me. Thanks for being here! Cheers Matt
🤔 Special One is one of my favorites.. Your order is just so wrong🙄
I’m supposed to get my box set today
I hope you got it and love it Raymond!
Hey Mia...thanks for stopping by. At least we were close on some! Either way, Cheap Trick is always one of my all time favorites! Cheers Matt
I agree the production of In Color was weak. I love the album too, but…..
Agree! I love it…but! Cheers
Similar taste in cheap trick 🙂
Thanks Mic! I absolutely love CT! Thanks for being here! Cheers Matt
Dream Police #1? No No no.....
Yes yes yes...on that day anyway. It changes all the time for me. One if my fave bands of all time! Today y favorite is Heaven Tonight, but tomorrow that could change! Ha! Cheers Matt
