Not only do we know from that one comic were Quirrel fought Hornet, that Quirrel is infact a skilled warrior (Hornet mentions Quirrel's stance as that of a warrior's) But also, in the fight again Uumuu, the only thing besides Quirrel that could break Uumuu shield, is an Uma's explosion. We all know that an Uma's explosion hurts (f$#@ that Uumuu fight in godhome) None of the knights's spells can break Uumuu's shield, which means in terms of power: Knight's Spells < Uma explosion And that in tail means Quirrel = Uma explosion Quirrel might lowkey be much more powerful than we give him credit for Also apologies for this long essay.

Actually no, by lore Nkg is not a god or a superior being. It is theorized that Grimm is a sort of vessel for the nightmare creature (the one you see in the background of Nkg fight). This creature is a superior being and is found in Grimm's dream (to acces Nkg you have to use the dream nail on him). Some theorized that the Grimm child the knight rises is going to be the next Grimm, so that he could also become the next vessel of the nightmare creature

So to keep the order: - The bench part is just a game mechanic, Yes shades/the knight can respawn which is canon (just would say the bench) but it still can be beaten by a lot of hax/abilities and scaling (still top 1 in verse) - we don't know if beaten or just sent away but we already know that those flowers are powerful and it just upscales the flower powers - pale King and wyrm are basically the same and if I were to separate them and say which is stronger I would go with pale king since he is the one with most of the powers and if only one of them reaches dreams it is pale king but for most of the part I think both do so it basically doesn't matter and since that's the same character just different forms then just use him as a 1 - NKG by what we know maybe basically one with the heart or they are connected but even if we skip that he still dmg's the heart which would scale him relative to the heart but to make it simple I just use them together.(still the heart should be included/mentioned that's s good point👍) - with Grimm I could more or less agree but still he is stronger than 95% of the characters - if you are referring to the knight as a baby(although I'm pretty sure its a joke) then well its one of the oldest characters and even as a vessel they are almost as old as hornet + as I said it's top tier character but still hornet doesn't come close to hk high tiers - pv is strong and stated to have inf power, they don't have any scaling above the real world and are kinda overrated but still really strong and for sure in the top - the radiance can use mind and madness manipulation on a crazy scale, she can destroy mind of a being if it just see her light not even her, mind you most of the characters got their mind broken just by the infection not even the light let alone radiance, she did it while inside THK inside the egg after being sealed and hanged above the ground, not to mention other things she did even before and being a higher Being (heh) so for sure somewhere in top 5 - if the knight has anything then it is plot nerfs, by what they are they should be no diffing most of the game and after getting the void heart we should shred through anything up to the higher Beings. The knight has both best feats/scaling and the best powers within the verse not to mention the biggest amount of them, they also control/can to some degree control almost everything that matters within the verse, just the combo of void heart and dream nail is so op that it hurts. And if that's not enough this frick can learn the fricking sword skills of a master with just 1 session. - sly doesn't have anything from power nor strength but has some speed and arguably the best weapon master in hk so I agree - the hunter well I won't say much because it would take too long, strong being not the top tier lvl strong - I wouldn't make list without beings like unn, heart other higher Beings and if characters like sly or hunter are here I would add sisters, traitor, uumuu or Quirrel also the soul Tyrant is really underated in terms of strength... Well I would assume that the vessel part might be programmed in some way since pale king could make void to do some things in vessel knowing powers of higher Beings and their tendency to create and manipulate minds then that would be my assumption. (Just we need to know that they still have their experience as a void as we would know from radiance dream dialogue) For the pale king when don't really know if he died to the void (or even if he died at all) and we have a statement about the pale king that could put him at top 2 inverse but other than that I just go by scaling while you just think in the let's say normal way so just a diffrence of pov it's okay. For the pure vessel, they still would get their ass destroyed to say the least as I said both for the scaling reason but as we know radiance cannot be consumed and radiance has even power stated to be higher than the pv, not to mention higher dimension plane while pv doesn't have void heart meaning they do not control the void. The flower thing is funny, the pure vessel is stronger then base game radiance as it is the hollow knight before he was tainted by a idea instilled, the radiance itself is absolute radiance who is a actual god & not just the embodiment of them in the infection, the hunter probably isn’t that strong as he probably hasn’t killed many strong things & he admits to struggling in combat against weak things, Nkg is not the same as Grimm it is just what Grimm thinks Grimm is
Watching this and realizing how much hollow knight lore and characters there are and the character designs is insane and proves how much effort team cherry put into this game and it all started from one hungry knight
i dont think pure knight and absolute radiance are actually real characters, i think in lore they are just what the characters COULD have been, but are not.

absolute raidiance is the non dream form of radiance not the same character technically
so pure vessel is like a completely different character from hk, nkg is who grimm wants to be and you can argue that ar is a alternative to radiance since its a true form of the same character but their power does varry so they should count as different entries in the not so serious list

But Shade Lord and knight should be kept seperate

Actually no, by lore Nkg is not a god or a superior being.
It is theorized that Grimm is a sort of vessel for the nightmare creature (the one you see in the background of Nkg fight).
This creature is a superior being and is found in Grimm's dream (to acces Nkg you have to use the dream nail on him).
Some theorized that the Grimm child the knight rises is going to be the next Grimm, so that he could also become the next vessel of the nightmare creature

Instead of "🤓" you will get even more nerdy answer if that okay. So to keep the order:
- The bench part is just a game mechanic, Yes shades/the knight can respawn which is canon (just would say the bench) but it still can be beaten by a lot of hax/abilities and scaling (still top 1 in verse)
- we don't know if beaten or just sent away but we already know that those flowers are powerful and it just upscales the flower powers
- pale King and wyrm are basically the same and if I were to separate them and say which is stronger I would go with pale king since he is the one with most of the powers and if only one of them reaches dreams it is pale king but for most of the part I think both do so it basically doesn't matter and since that's the same character just different forms then just use him as a 1
- NKG by what we know maybe basically one with the heart or they are connected but even if we skip that he still dmg's the heart which would scale him relative to the heart but to make it simple I just use them together.(still the heart should be included/mentioned that's s good point👍)
- with Grimm I could more or less agree but still he is stronger than 95% of the characters
- if you are referring to the knight as a baby(although I'm pretty sure its a joke) then well its one of the oldest characters and even as a vessel they are almost as old as hornet + as I said it's top tier character but still hornet doesn't come close to hk high tiers
- pv is strong and stated to have inf power, they don't have any scaling above the real world and are kinda overrated but still really strong and for sure in the top
- the radiance can use mind and madness manipulation on a crazy scale, she can destroy mind of a being if it just see her light not even her, mind you most of the characters got their mind broken just by the infection not even the light let alone radiance, she did it while inside THK inside the egg after being sealed and
hanged above the ground, not to mention other things she did even before and being a higher Being (heh) so for sure somewhere in top 5
- if the knight has anything then it is plot nerfs, by what they are they should be no diffing most of the game and after getting the void heart we should shred through anything up to the higher Beings. The knight has both best feats/scaling and the best powers within the verse not to mention the biggest amount of them, they also control/can to some degree control almost everything that matters within the verse, just the combo of void heart and dream nail is so op that it hurts. And if that's not enough this frick can learn the fricking sword skills of a master with just 1 session.
- sly doesn't have anything from power nor strength but has some speed and arguably the best weapon master in hk so I agree
- the hunter well I won't say much because it would take too long, strong being not the top tier lvl strong
- I wouldn't make list without beings like unn, heart other higher Beings and if characters like sly or hunter are here I would add sisters, traitor, uumuu or Quirrel also the soul Tyrant is really underated in terms of strength...

when I said that the knight is a baby I am talking about THE vessel not THE shade, to think about it the knight is not a baby... But an embryo, the void replaced what is inside them long before they were fully developed pretty much an embryo with an empty soul
The pale king is in my opinion weaker in a survival way, I think the wyrm can withstand some void
We all know that the "pure" vessel was flawed, it had feelings and if that didn't occur it would have contained the radiance without a problem
Also I based my sentence of "the shade lord get countered by a flower on the fifth ending, the Pantheon one because if that flower wasn't there, the SL would have laid waste on hallownest
But you are correct on sly, he is just fast and somehow he can lift something that is probably 50 times his own weight
I should put into account the fact that radiance had followers (people how made her their god) and there was a whole civilization based on her, pretty much the same as the pale king but she can control (or in other terms infect) and that gives her a couple of points
There is lore (dialogue) that supports the fact that NKG is basically a slave of the nightmare heart like a dream nail dialogue from Brumm (can't remember his name and I am not sure if that is the correct one) where they say the he and everyone in the "cult" is a slave of the nightmare heart, even Grimm! (and NKG)

- for the knight well if we want to go into the details and interpretation then technically it isn't even alive I mean the void isn't since the void is a lack of existence/nothingness it would just be a chaotic chaotic being but then how would it know to kill radiance? Well I would assume that the vessel part might be programmed in some way since pale king could make void to do some things in vessel knowing powers of higher Beings and their tendency to create and manipulate minds then that would be my assumption.
(Just we need to know that they still have their experience as a void as we would know from radiance dream dialogue)
For the pale king when don't really know if he died to the void (or even if he died at all) and we have a statement about the pale king that could put him at top 2 inverse but other than that I just go by scaling while you just think in the let's say normal way so just a diffrence of pov it's okay.
For the pure vessel, they still would get their ass destroyed to say the least as I said both for the scaling reason but as we know radiance cannot be consumed and radiance has even power stated to be higher than the pv, not to mention higher dimension plane while pv doesn't have void heart meaning they do not control the void. No matter what lil boi doesn't end too well.
For the shade lord I too was talking about the 5th ending and what I said was just about it but to make it somehow possible to understand we know that the "delicate flowers" have a lot of pover as the power of higher Beings was even compared to them (also we don't know if it erased the lord or just teleported them)
for the radiance there would be a little correction. Radiance unlike the pale king didnt have ppl that followed her as a god. She is a god(one of them since higher Beings = gods in hk verse) and she simply MADE herself followers, just like that (same thing with unn, while pale king and the nkg did something else but about the second one later). Radiance was able to create her tribe being part of the tribe at the same time, her ppl just left her for the pale king which kinda made her mad since for some reason at this point her existence depended on ppl believing in her (no idea how tf does it work since she was the one to make the followers in the first place so how tf she existed before but idk maybe she just fancy like that or maybe she can live without them just doesn't have that much power) since we know that everyone forgot about her for a long time (yet she still lived somehow) and remember she did all what she did then while being heavily weakened by that she is way stronger now AND they lost their mind without even seeing her herself, from what we know so far it appears that she has 2 types of mind/madness manipulation 1 weaker the infection and the other one her light much stronger since it works in an instant
And for the last one 1 small correction, he is talking about Grimm yes (not nkg tho but doesn't matter) but he is just assuming he says that maybe even he is a slave which again Grimm could be debatable but not really NKG. Why? As you can see all the followers have masks masks that you have in a secret room of the Troup thing I forgot the name. The masks are used to control minds of the followers they have mind controlling abilities (huh higher Being and a mind control, who would have guessed, it's me or are we starting to see a pattern?) But the grimm and the nkg do not have a mask, what's more you can see that their face looks basically as the mask OR the masks look like nkg face if you know where I'm going with it rn😏 also we can see nkg sleeping inside the heart and then tearing it from the inside to get out not to mention that the realms are NIGHTMARE realms and Grimm is called NIGHTMARE king, since we don't know exactly but by the way they thing, act and know about other higher Beings i would assume nkg is either some kind of Avatar/mind/personification of the heart or if the heart if like a power source and nkg is the thinking being part, still all that things I said about the king could be just a random things made by the devs not ment to be connected that way and they still may not be one or connected that way. Just to explain the small part about being relative to it I meant that from scaling pov since nkg can dmg the heart his strength would be said at the similar lvl to the heart even if it could control him
