Just because a lot of people have been asking, yes, this is a mod. It's been in development for quite a few years, and feels like a "fan made DLC."

Hegemol's fight is my favorite just with the background alone. A small glimpse of hallownest in its prime before everything collapsed from the infection, bittersweet and a fantastic detail.
And his soundtrack is absolutely stunning, particularly that City of Tears remix part. Gives me chills.
Sadly the devs didn't give hegemol a decent way to fight pogoers
I like to imagine the 5 have similar attacks because they all trained with each other

Isma and Ogrim are the power couple of hollow knight.
For sure, that was my favorite bossfight
The dung he collects acts as fertiliser for the plants she grows. It just makes sense!

Facts, it's great!
It sounds like an actual orchestra ( I’m a clarinet player so the woodwind parts are so cool because you don’t see much clarinet representation in video game OSTs)
There seem to be some Hornet’s theme leitmotifs in there which is a nice touch.
I absolutely adored all of their themes, but Dryya's specifically was incredible.
@@patar00 My favorite was Hegemol but Dryya's was also outstanding, probably my second favorite.
It's interesring how the background has something that relates with the knights, like Drrya having the White Lady in the background, Ze'mer has Traitor Daughter watch her fight, and Isma has Ogrim in the background

I love how both Isma and Ogrim are really good warriors, but at the same time they sound so sweet and friendly
True, and the other great knights also seem chill, like Hegemol. He's really big, but he has a soft voice and a sense of humor.
I'll just say this since I haven't seen anyone comment this, but you can see Ogrim catch Isma when Isma is defeated! They truly are a power couple.

I Loved these Detail
Ze'mer's weakness is when her weapon get stuck in the wall or the ground, she's defenceless as she has to come back to reclaim it.
Yha, but she has a pretty big hitbox, so it was a bit of a scary punish when I was first starting out.

Can we appreciate the detail of Hallownest's residents going abiut their daily lives in the background of Hegemol's arena?
I mean, to me it looked like maggots being forced to do menial labor. I assume one of them was the one who rebelled against Hegemol and became the False Knight.
@@211aonscratch4es, but it's not all maggots back there. You can see some regular husk bugs pulling the smaller carts while the long necked bugs (whatever the fuck Willow is) pulling larger carts.
Edit: and also some non-crystal versions of the big bugs from Crystal Peaks.

The Tiso boss fight is great, he has a shield that is a sword, gun, and a grenade launcher

I love the detail how the creators realized that hegemol is different from failed champion is awesome.
I’m sure failed champion wa either the descendant or he found hegemol dead, and used his armour, and failed champion is what he dreams himself to be.
Also anyone else notice soul master looks like a pale servant?
It would've been super easy for them to just copy FC and make him harder, but they made it more original which is awesome. FC in the lore is the dreams of the False Knight, which is a maggot who stole Hegemol's armor.
Bro Isma and Ogrim fighting together was like, idk what to say its just perfect.

You can just cling to the wall for the first 2, then jump over when she does the consecutive dashes and dash out of the large cyclone, then jump over her and back when she does the chaindash at the end of the choreographed part, but where's the fun in that? This is so much cooler

I noticed that all the great knights have a move or more like the pure vessel's except for Hemgol's whose boss fight is a modified version of the false knight's/fallen champion's

It makes sense considering how the pure vessel is being trained by the pale king. The pure vessel must have fight/met them during it's training

Yeah, seeing how clear it is to parry some of Ze'mer's attacks, that idea to go through that fight with full parries naturally comes to mind. No hit on top of that? That's amazing...

In Mysterious Ze'mer boss fight, the taritors'child is like "Ok, you two entertain me" 🤣🤣
By the way I like how Kingsoul symbolizes a union between two higher beings( a vessel) which makes sense since they are their offspring and the fact that it has limitless soul energy means that vessels have limitless soul energy that explains why pure vessel never runs out of it and also it represents the void in them as it has hidden emptiness that what is Voidheat is.

Agreed, Tiso was build up enough to deserve a real fight. The fakeout was funny but still a bit anticlimactic.
What makes Mystic Ze'mer so challenging isn't her teleporting or slash bursts, it's that she'll lower your fps rate.
FPS is the true final boss
Mystic zemer didn't do that at all for me so idk, it was only ismas beanstalk that dropped it a huge amount

Ok parrying those mystic zemer cyclone dashes at the start of the fight when you could have just clung to the wall is such an absolute flex

@@FaigenPentakionNo we have absolutely no confirmation that the knights were individually stronger than PV. But they obviously were powerful enough to make such a name for themselves.

I personally find broken vessel to be even harder(purely because of the venom spam) than pure vessel and nightmare Grimm, but z'mer will probably make me want to commit shade
This video is honestly a total mindfuck for me. If someone showed me this video and told me that it was part of a new update to wait for silksong, i would have believed them with not an ounce of doubt. I mean, HOLY FUCK, they created so much with only the game as a base. They even added proper voices to the characters, it don't look or sound weird even for a second ! The Isma and Tiso are, in my opinion, the fight were they created the most new animations and new attacks pattern. Most, modders are really a gift from gods. Forget about Silksong, as long as a community with modders talented as this are still active, this game/license is eternal.
This took incredibly long to develop, but they stuck through it and created a mind-blowing mod. Huge props to everyone who worked on it.

I'd say they're all excellent, except for a bit of Tiso and Mystic Ze'mer. Tiso's gun is weird how the barrel tracks you, and the explosion seems half-baked. MZ's judgment cuts are hard too to get a good judgment for their area of effect for how quickly they come out.
I'd pretty much agree with you. I don't think Tiso is unfair, but the strategy for both those moves is basically just "get above him as fast as you can."
I thought the whole point of that phase is to keep moving. Like there barely is a warning but it like any targeted/homing ability right?

All the bosses that bow also get mad if you attack them during the bow.
A surprisingly tame mod. (Except for mystic ze'mer )
Atleast relative to the usual masochistic pleasure hell mods.
Even mystic ze'mer is pretty well balanced compared to a lot of other mod bosses.

Makes it of things needlessly harder to see. Team cherry knew this was gonna be annoying for perfect vessel so they dropped him in a darker room

I love how Hegemol's hammer kina resembles the city crest you get from beating the false knight, like the maggot stole his armor and broke the hammer, but pocketed the crest before going to get the mace bug.

She's definitely the hardest boss in the mod. The rest are probably around PV difficulty.
