This is the only 737 I don't hate loading.

This carpet is cool for flights, that are half empty, but they are horrible, when you have to fully load the compartment. You stack up the luggage and as soon as you move the carpet in FWD direction, half of the bags fall off and come back to you again and you have to stack them up again. Twice the work, when fully loaded.

I know, the side parts that are not moving causes all the problem. When I see the bags are starting to fall down I quickly push them back into position, but man it's so frustrating 😂

@@kenugget9593 Very few reports on this matter. However with the new "soft start" feature on the new EDGE system, this is gone. The weight has also been reduced with almost 40% due to carbon fiber technology.

Thanks. I'm sitting on an Alaska 737-900 right now and always wondered what was happening in the cargo hold!

Wish Southwest Airlines would get this for our 800s but we have 2 agents in the bin some times 1 or 3 in the bin all depends on the flight but this carpet would save us alot...

Soooooooooooooo cool!! Thanks for showing us that Muscman70. Tell me, does Airbus have anything like that on their planes?

7 years later and nope. The only ones we had were in the 757 300, and those carpets are gone now. The closest thing we have are the power stow belt loaders.

We didn't have that 'back in the day'. I notice that the Airbus A320 series is container loading. Does UAL have any container loading for the 73s and 75s ? If the A320 series is container system, this might be an advantage to airlines as far as loading systems aboard the plane are concerned.

UAL 757’s had something similar back in the day ( mid 90’s )...they were telescoping trays

The a320 can and the 737 can't use containers
