Today I came across this issue. Tried pushing in the reset button (while the car was off) and the screen would turn off as it should. Turned the power back on (not all the way to start the car) and the screen went back to doing the same thing. Then I thought to myself "Maybe it's something I got plugged up to my usb?" Which happens to be my ipod. So I turned the power off, unplugged my ipod from the USB (screen was still on loading at this point) and I pressed in the reset button and the screen turned off. So without the ipod being plugged in, I turned the power back on. This time it actually worked! Hopefully this helps those that still need it. My radio model is: Pioneer AVH-2300 NEX. The reset button is a tiny pinhole on the bottom right. I didn't have a paper clip, so I used the back of my earring 😁
I have a 4500nex, same issue....bought 2 sd cards off ebay, one from Russian guy and another.....neither made a difference.....bought a 3rd card from Pac Parts ( original Pioneer card) still no change....Help please if you know what to do.
I suppose that you fixed this problem but I'd help you. I'vegot 8600 AVH and the same problem maybe because the conections are bad when someone did the montage. Despite of my explanation, I'd say that Pioneer usually make this big mistake. Hugs from Spain.
I just looked it up on you tube, and there is a video called how to upgrade pioneer next 8100, which takes the same firmware update as the 7100. The only problem I possibly foresee is you have to get into the head unit to initiate the installation of the update. Take a look at that video and I hope some of this information will help you get it fixed, I feel your pain, they are not cheap, lmk if it helped.
UPDATE: Okay, I did the update a few days ago and so far things are running pretty smooth! Maps changed, it boots up faster and usually It would freeze and not come on at all every other day but so far I've not had that problem. I really noticed a difference with my maps, it's almost like a new head unit now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...after 30 days pass, I'll do another update about how things are going. Thanks for the suggestions and support!
Hey buddy I've never had this issue but I have the same exact unit. Have you gone online and downloaded the firmware update? This might be why you're having issues. I had to download the firmware update which is now I believe 9.0, you download it onto a USB formatted into fat 32 I believe, and then you have to plug it into either USB 1 or USB 2 that I don't remember, you have to read the installation manual for that, but make sure that you only have the firmware update on the USB, formatted, or else it could do damage far worse to your head unit. I hope this helps unless you have tried this already good luck.
You go into the Nav and hit the settings in there. Change the "Auto" time zone feature to "Manual" and then you can set the clock to what ever you want. Wierd that the Nav controls the clock for the whole unit...
you need to buy the internal sd card from the Russian guy on eBay.there are other videos talking about similar issues on pioneer unit. I installed sb card from eBay and my unit is fully up and running.
Check on ebay, they are selling for $32 a SD card software..you need to replace the old one for the new...I got that problem 2 ,I just order and I gonna try to fix it ..I let you know
@@bryanfain5306 it could be. I’ve been having issues with updating the software on my DMHw-4660 NEX. No matter which SD card I use it says corrupted file. And they are all brand new. I called Pioneer technical support and they said don’t use a SD card larger that 8G. I’ve tried 2g all the way to 64g and everything in between. Nothing. Frustrating. Try at least 3 different cards if none of them work try calling tech support bro. Sorry :/
@@DEYCALLMEMD i think I am going to try to "reflow" method, with a heat gun. Seems to have worked for alot of people with a Kenwood and mine has the same symptoms. I dont know, not even trying to spend anymore money on it, at this point ill get her smoking hot and put back together and if it doesnt worn ill sell the card I just bought and the removable buttons for 60 and call it square lol appreciate the response man 👍
I had this issue as well. I ended up having to send to pioneers service center in NY. United radio opened it up and said there was corrosion in the unit and that they are seeing this often. They replaced a ton of parts that were covered under warranty however corrosion was not covered. And I used my stereo in a normal manner, never got wet, never stored faceplate in a moist environment. I got charged almost 200 to repair this issue. Not happy at all
