I did do the math properly after the video. 5k in upgrades, lcr prior was about 600, so 10x is pretty close estimate.

Thanks for posting I enjoyed listening to your experiences.
I also recently spent 10 times the amount on my audio setup as well and apart from the speakers, I would have to say upgrading the AVR has surpassed any of my expectations. Choosing an AVR which has excellent dynamic range, example..
'weather the actors are talking quietly or whether the sound stage breaks out with loud noise effects no more having to reach for the remote control! 🥳
Plus I would like to mention... the centre channel without doubt is the most important speaker in entire multi-channel setup, so if there's one speaker that needs investing.. make sure that's it. And btw for tonality reasons where possible the stereos should match.

So I guess I didnt do JUST speakers. Getting the calibrated mic, learning room eq wizard and getting the minidsp.
So proper calibration of all the speakers, mixing well with the subs, and relatively flat response.
The center.. yeah its a tricky one if you listen to music. But for sure LCR are very important.
In terms of tonal match... I honestly didnt notice any issues I could articulate when still using the pioneer center in terms of match. Regardless, the klipsch center is much closer to the floorstandings but they actually have more high end than the floorstandings so I wouldn't say they are a match honestly, but I can't tell either way.

@@aussieexpat I actually wasn't aware of what centre channel you were running! I was just commenting in general. Of course mini DSP, room wizard EQ and calibration will all add to the experience. As far as music listening is concerned, unless one is listening to 5.1 audio or object based audio one would really be better off listening to 2 channel stereo, not only 99% of music is usually mastered in 2-ch stereo
But if one wants to experience soundstage imaging, 2-ch music listening is the way to go.
