I think it doesn’t mention the 2028 gladiator because the notes for Belvedere plant mention midsize trucks plural which could imply multiple models like both a Dakota and a Gladiator.
Imagine paying extreme prices for an electric vehicle. In a few years, you want to trade it in. No one wants to buy a used EV. Now you're stuck with it until end of life.
I have a 2023 mustang mach e with 5700 miles and it's already lost 67% of its value
lmao, you mean like the $80k chevy work truck.. $100k out the door w mark ups and taxes
@@JogBird I was talking about EV vehicles. However, an ICE vehicle will still be purchased used. No one will buy a used battery.
Not everyone is poor, peasant.
It reminds me of the movie Field of Dreams, "if you build it they will come", except for this they won't or very small numbers.
If they dropped the price of the gladiator down $10k. Closer to the competition. They would sell like hot cakes.
Actually you can walk into a dealer right now and get 10k off pretty easy. Also the Gladiator has to be compared to 4wd comparison. Many other competitors start lower but that’s because it’s 2wd
This month, some dealers are offering 15% percent off msrp.
Why, how much do the other convertible pickups cost?
@TheCharleseye very good point. Also, the only one with solid axles 💪🏽
@@scotturich Needs to be 10k lower MSRP PLUS SOME DEALER INCENTIVES.
They're assuming the market demand will be sufficient for this plan.
I am curious about the 2025 PHEV upgrade on the Wrangler. As a 2023 Willys 4xe leasee, I wonder what I will be able to upgrade to when the lease is up. Perhaps an electrified hurricane I6? The current 4cyl + electric is amazing but having 2 more cylinders / 200+ hp would be something Im interested in :)
Nice video, guys. I live in Michigan, and I follow this stuff pretty closely. You have "peeled back the onion" for us (somewhat), which is greatly appreciated!
Nothing on HD must mean its staying in Mexico. Too bad, Ram HD has become the most expensive and outdated and not American made really sinks it.
Cause they made in Mexico and it has nothing to do with the uaw
@843MUD yeah, exactly what I said. It also means they don't plan to move it to the US either.
@@mattromain7177 no they labor cheaper
Would love a full Ev wrangler 👍🙏
Canada also realised their info too. New Compass to be built in Brampton. Windsor to build new performance cars and Pacifica.
The sleek Wagoneer you are talking about is the Wagoneer S. It is the new fully electric Cherokee.
It's funny that you guys keep some historical relics on the desk. Pistons and a stick shift knob.
Gladiator owners : we want a V8!!
Jeep: how 'bout a EV?
Gladiator owners: 🤨
Lots of people want a wrangler/ gladiator Ev jeep
How about an inline 6 turbo?
@@phileasler5401😂 mkay sweetie.
Killing the HEMI is a grave mistake, Even with 6 Cylinder & Electrification approach.
I've seen some rumors and some videos that they may bring out a new hemi. Not sure how credible they are but it would be a really smart move on stelantichryslers part.
@@bigmacmach1185 Stellantis is ruining Dodge, Jeep, Ram, by this new direction, check the new Doge Hornet!
There's a new hemi on the way.
@@bigmacmach1185 Don't think so, you will eventually be down to the 2.0T and the new 3.0T
What happened to the jeep recon?
Not sure. It may be built at a non-UAW factory.
@@TFLnow makes sense! Thanks for all the great content guys.
What about a Ram heavy duty redesign???
Im so glad they aren't killing the Durango because it was rumored to get killed off and replaced with an all electric sports muscle truck which already sounds like a failure to me.
At the top, it says "...Investment by end of the Agreement" If the agreement is 5 yr that would end it at ~2028 & thus nothing is listed past that year
Sorry Andrey, we havent been waiting for a phev gladiator, wanted a v8 gladiator.
I agree but that will never happen. You can blame the world on that one and looking at this document it sounds like the midsize truck is going to replace the Gladiator all together
I meant. I have been waiting for it because it can spice up the Gladiator lineup.
@@TFLnow it needs something, not a v6 fan unless it's the 4 liter XJ, but the hurricane with a turbo at least would be a huge step up.
Very interesting.. Thanks..
Durango plug in hybrid. Sign me up
What website is that I want to read about the engines
What about the HD trucks?
The manufacturers need to working more on high strength light weight steel and other materials to lower the vehicles climbing weights. Each year the vehicles are getting heavier by several hundred to a thousand pounds with being EV's
I was really hoping to see Ram Heavy Duty trucks on there… Seems like they really want to keep that secret or it’s being built in another country. Ram we need a Heavy duty engine/trans and cab update!!!
It build it Mexico they not uaw
my jeep was built at the Mexico factory
there is a recall on these, battery is catching on fire
Interesting - there is no mention of Full EV Jeep Renegade by earlier advertised model name , but only as generic Jeep BEV. Expectations were for 2024/25, so it is either cancelled or will be built in EU
It will probably be built in Italy like the renegade currently is.
Ugh, no midsize until 2027???
Yea… ☹️
I thought the ram classic was made in mexico
I really don’t think most people want electric vehicles. We should stop subsidizing them and let the market dictate prices.
Oh, by the way Dino 🦕 vehicles fuel are subsidized in the billons for their fuel
I'd be excited for the Dodge and Chrysler engineers to design a new chassis.
Brush off the cobwebs, stretch those muscles. Go slowly, its beet a few decades...
What the deal with the HD we need a real 5th gen truck
Not UAW built so no details here.
@@dillonh321 yea
I think manufacturers who go all in on EV are going to be sorry. It’s not as green as people and politicians make it to be, the charging infrastructure won’t be ready, and the supply chain for batteries will not be there for another 15-20 years. Lastly there’s a large group of customers who don’t want them.
They can still go Dino 🦕, most people want to live in the 21st century not 1950
Power wagon is crying for update and more power
Now if they could only build vehicles that weren't junk and way overpriced ! 😂🤣
EV will be the end of Dodge Jeep and Chrysler.
I’d buy a BEV Wrangler.
Nothing about Ram HD or Chrysler lol
It buld it Mexico and it has nothing to do with the uaw
