I literally grew up alongside rean, I was 15 when I first discovered this game and series and throughout the cold steel series releases I was still around the same age as Rean, he and Fie will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
@@johnpitro4585 With the amount of Arc Slashes done in CS1-2 he could definitely claim his place as Royal Gardener of Erebonian Emperor (also, nice reason to see Alfin every day).
Always loved how his final S-craft, Luminous Abyss, is an amalgamation of all of his older crafts and S-crafts. Emphasizes how far he's come by the end of his journey and his mastery of the sword style after becoming a Divine Blade.

The reason why reans masters told him to learn void was likely cuz that state of mind is the only thing that could bend his ogre. I remember hearing somewhere btw that the using the first form mastered ( which Cassius uses) while being in void (8form) mastered is the strongest possible 8 leaves form.

How did NIS fuck up and cut off the "Azure Flames" part for the S-craft in Cold Steel 2?! So odd to immediately hear "Gather around my blade". Gather what? lol

They didn't fuck up, it's just said very quiet. If you play the game and turn off all sound effects and music and leave only voices on, you can hear the full line.
Assuming easy/very easy mode 99,999 damage out of it on CS1, CS2 tops out at around 700,000 and NO even the NG+ boss on easy mode has LESS HP then that but the final boss doesn't either, CS3 barely 20,000 to 30,000 damage on Very easy mode BUT Rean is NOT in the final party for the final dungeon but the reason for the LOW s craft damage is that on very easy mode few bosses even HAVE 99,999 HP. CS4 I got at least 300,000 out of his on Very easy mode at lv 200 but its not enough to 1 shot the last bosses and that's because the LAST boss of the main game uses a FULL 3 parties (24 total party members). For Hajimari/Reverie I got about 700,000 out of his lv 250 on Very easy mode too bad the best s crafts in game can do a BASE damage no critical hits of more then 700,000 damage but pretty much on Very easy mode and NORMAL lvs (not +50 or + 100) most the the TRC LAST floor enemies don't even have 1 million HP. Final boss of the TRC is basically Ao No Kiseki's FINAL boss but with 3 forms each not 1 BUT on Very easy mode a 700,000 damage s craft is ALMOST enough to 1 shot each form and Like Ao No Kiseki's LAST boss if the LAST TRC boss uses ITS own ORDER command it takes INFINITE turns and since I had NOBODY with 100% evade infiinite turns is lethal since at lv 250 you won't really survive MORE Then 1 turn when it takes LIKE 5+ IN a row.

Also an S-Craft that showcases Rean's knowledge on the fundamentals of all seven forms, despite having the most mastery of the Seventh form(Void).
I think he's the only Divine Blade that mastered the Void, and to master the Void, you need to master the other forms too to a big degree.

There's a Reverie mod that lets Rean use EVERY craft that he knows from CS1-4, go add that too lmao 😂

Aaaand... Arts are still best way to deal damage, because Devs nerf crafts in every following game.
This is why localization is bad, the translated S-Craft name doesn't even come close to the Japanese original in terms of meaning
