I reckon Don Airy does a spectacular job to this day. I'm sure he 'understands' what the spirit was like on stage, or else they wouldn't have picked him to replace John Lord. We all miss him 💜
U r legend guitarist uncle blackmore... ive just comeback from Deep purple concert in Singapore.. hw i wish u were there. Make a Rainbow comeback.. Deep Purple is U and Late John Lord.. Those days the best line up ever
Hey, man! At this time in my life, with 59years, i see more and more what really founded my life. And you are for me the only really free guitarist in this world! You invented Heavy Metal (not only) with that Highway Star-Solo on Made in Japan: i was about 13... after Bay City Rollers, Boney M, ach ja Egerländer Musikanten, James Last (etheric flying trumpets...), etc. Good to have You here! are you sure this is Zeppelin field and not nurnberg ring ? 85 was nurnber ring , zeppelin field 2 years later i think....... i was on both of them, but from here i can not tell, zeppelin field ritchie broke his finger some weeks before... anyone ?
Well I know it's not Knebworth - Ritchie's not wearing wellies and Jon"s not trying to hold on to a pvc sheet to protect his keyboards from the torrential rain!
Steve Morse was an absolute superstar for Deep Purple. Remember that Blackmore dumped Deep Purple. They had to find someone who understood how Richie played and Morsey did that better than Blackmore himself. If I were Ian Gillan or Roger Glover, I wouldn't touch Burn either. That again is Richie's fault for causing the depression Gillan and Glover suffered before and during Mark3. What a low act on Richie's behalf. Steve Morse picked up the pieces and did a better job than Richie himself. Sorry but that's the truth. Don't go around rubbishing the replacements without knowing the full situation. Blackmore caused the split.
Gillan quit on his own in 1973. He was not fired. Roger was fired. Gillan during the reunion had a shit attitude. He said to the other members (during what would become the S&M sessions) that they were fucking losers. Even Roger, his long time friend, told Ian, you went too far. So, he was fired and JLT brought in. It was only under pressure from management because of the then upcoming 25th anniversary of the band that Gillan was brought back in. Gillan was not taking care of his voice, kept forgetting the lyrics, really being rather unprofessional. And Ritchie always demanding the best from everyone INCLUDING himself (ask Bob Daisley) really did not want to put up with that. That's why he left in 1993. Remember, Gillan thought it funny to pour a pile of ketchup on Ritchie's dinner after a concert when all the caterers were closed. That is actually what went on. Gillan just being a prig. He and Ritchie were 2 alpha males who would never get along because they BOTH wanted to control the band. Notice how since Ritchie left, Gillan controls the band. He determines the setlist and what goes. This is the actual situation. I have long determined that Gillan is the far bigger arse than Ritchie. I met Ritchie - twice (during Rainbow Rising tour). He's a really nice guy, soft spoken, intelligent. (All the lads in Rainbow were really good blokes. Cozy was really funny. Carey gave me some synth tips). As to Morse... he's excellent, a damn good guitarist, and yes is the longest serving guitarist in DP. However, he is not Ritchie, does not have the fire or intensity that Ritchie has. He is also too nice a guy, letting Gillan walk all over him, forcing Steve to play Ritchie material and really not play much of the material he helped create. IMO, that was a huge slap in the face to Steve. I still maintain that his style was really not a good fit with/for Purple. I thought Satriani would have been better. It is a shame he could not join permanently. I prefer Satch to Morse.
I don't see how anybody in their right mind can say this is a good band and Ritchie Blackmore was a good guitarist. This video proves it they totally suck. My little sister could play guitar better. Can't compare to Eric Clapton Jimmy Page Jimi Hendrix etc.
Well, it's obvious for long time fans, especially since we know that Gillan refuses to perform Burn and MK3 songs in general, so when Ritchie played the riff, it's just obvious what he pulled right there 😂
I would like Don Airey to listen to this jam to understand what the spirit of Deep Purple is on stage. I miss Jon Lord so much.
The same about the others guitarrists...
I reckon Don Airy does a spectacular job to this day. I'm sure he 'understands' what the spirit was like on stage, or else they wouldn't have picked him to replace John Lord. We all miss him 💜
Эйри вообще им не подходит,в нём нет харизмы как в Лорде!!!

@@ВиталийЗикранец-в1р: You think Blackmore brought Airey into Deep Purple in 2002? That's incredible, as Blackmore had quit nine years before.
My favorite guitarist of all time
My band forever

It's great to hear the band play a short snippet of "Burn"🔥🔥🔥, wish they played it full, but we all know that Ian would never agree to it
Ritchie!!! AMAZING 🎸A True Legend for Ever and Ever 🎩
This Line up is still unreached !!! Some may call me a dinosaur.....

Sin duda alguna, eso si sus mejores vocalistas Ian Gillan y...Rony james Dio...
Did they just play a little "Burn" during the solo exchage?
この時代に生きたかった(^o^)
Intro "Burn"
"deep purple featuring Ritchie Blackmore" implying that what comes in our minds when Deep Purple in mentioned isn't Blackmore on guitar already
hmm always thought ritchie's guitar playing was sluggish around '85-'88 period
I have paid my 2 week’s salary for used vinyl “Burn” 45 years ago
Well I know it's not Knebworth - Ritchie's not wearing wellies and Jon"s not trying to hold on to a pvc sheet to protect his keyboards from the torrential rain!
deep purple is only with ritchie....
Solo copiado de uma musica brasileira da MPB os grandes tambem se apropriam
How about ROY CLARK HES GOOD TOO
After all, Deep Purple needs Richie and Jon Lord.
Ian Paice alone is not enough and doesn't look like purple.

The only time when I switched off playing DP song was when Steve played SotW solo...

Clapton is boring. Hendrix is noisy and Page's technique is horrible.
Debe ser una broma
Clapton is the most overrated guitarist in history.
