Queen Elizabeth II reflects on her legacy and lineage as Diana dazzles the public in the final weeks of her life and the monarchy faces a reckoning.
Still one of the best TV series ever produced!
Debatable
What kinds of "Television"?
Web series
@@Me-fo1kk not debatable in the slightest.
Yes indeed@@Me-fo1kk
I got chills when Claire, Olivia and Imelda were all together in the last scene.
I cried so many tears
It was!
I cried
Especially when she’s walking out, a bright light shining out from door to her honoring her legacy…. 😭🕊️
For me the star of this show was Claire Foy. Her voice, expression and mannerisms were all exceptional.
True. She set the bar sooo high up there
They were all just wonderful. But for me, my Queen Elizabeth II is Imelda Staunton because my Queen Elizabeth II is a dear, sweet grandmother who has been our strength and stay for 70 years, and this is how I prefer to remember Her Majesty the Queen. ❤ 👑
Season 1 will always be the best season for me
All fantastic!
Yes Claire Foy is the best actress on the crown. I love her as the queen
It's been a long ride, but we've reached the end.
Farewell, The Crown.
Thank God it s finally over.
@@hettykromdijk2910 you mean thank God we got to see it
WAIT BUT WHAT ABOUT MEGHAN AND HARRY?
@@Tf.Riddhi no thanks
@@Tf.RiddhiI thought it was odd and disappointing that so much time-attention was given to Camilla/Charles’ wedding and none to William/Kate’s wedding. And it was a bit of a snub that they left out Megan altogether. Maybe because it’s too controversial?
The episode of princess margaret was brilliant! I cried at the last scene and the end credits.
Foi uma daquelas cenas que penetram pela pele e nos tocam bem na emoção.
Same😭
I agree..
Agreed. Loved it.
I felt so bad for her...
I loved that it felt like a baton being passed to someone else as they played a different part of that character’s life. It felt as if they were trusting each other to tell the next part. I loved the continuation as well and them also meeting the different parts of their lives. The costume, the locations, and music were beautiful. It was the most perfect goodbye. Thank you to everyone who was involved in sharing this story with us.
I totally agree. I recall the early critics of changing cast members and Coleman’s portrayal.
Since many of us have only known an elder QEII, Claire was an ideal choice to play the young Queen and enlighten viewers as to the early years of her reign. She set the tone and strategy for the entire series nailing the mannerisms of the young Elizabeth.
The transition to the middle aged QEII was flawless by Olivia and then to Imelda as the elder Queen with both perfectly mastering their characterizations, idiosyncrasies and all. Peter Morgan brilliantly captured the changing essence and growing confidence of the aging QEII with the progression of each actress.
I know there have been a lot of critics who couldn’t wrap their heads around the use of so much artistic license but IMO the series has been very entertaining and informative as we, like most viewers, have fact checked as we watched each episode.
The writing, production, settings, crew who has helped each character come to life with the perfect wardrobe and wigs and the technical staff who’ve done the research as well as the consultants have all done an amazing job. Most noticeable is the work of those involved in casting and of course the very talented cast members who did the requisite character studies/research and honed their craft to deliver such memorable performances. Everyone involved should be proud.
I envy newcomers who can watch the series from start to finish without having to wait between seasons or deal with the media hype and spoilers.
I just finished watching the last episodes and have been crying almost non-stop. The way they made me reflect on my own family and relationships, instead of theirs, was brilliant. So human. I am utterly touched.
Same.
weirdly felt the same way here, the ending scene with The Queen seeing her own coffin and walks out into the door had me sobbing
Me too. It was life changing. The final scene.
I love how Peter Morgan brought all of these stories full circle. Particularly how he joined Phillip, Charles, and William together.
Episode 5 - Willsmania was an excellent episode to watch. The emotions displayed from each character in this episode was top level acting!
I felt it had a lot to say about the importance of fatherhood, and also the role of grandparents whose distance from parenting can offer a different perspective.
It's one of the best seasons
Its beautiful how Willian managed to forgive Charles. I’ve never thought it was that hard for them to make amends
@@Paulofibonelli all bcs of his grandfather
For me I have also create my titles for the last season 7 only for the period of 2006-2022 era:
Episode 1- Controversy Outcomes
Episode 2- Cambridge Wedding
Episode 3- Queen in Ireland
Episode 4- BrixExit
Episode 5- Global Pandemic
Episode 6- Interview of Sussex
Episode 7- Operation 4th Bridge
Episode 8- Current Republic
Episode 9- Final Months
Episode 10- London Bridge Has Fallen
Poderiam fazer uma temporada mesmo
🆙 Please Netflix, we’ve never asked you anything
History is about the past. Leave the current affairs for the future generation.
No denying a landmark in television.
Extraordinary.
That final scene in the last episode almost brought me to tears. Well done to everyone behind this wonderful series 👏
Breaks my heart ngl. It’s so special to see all those behind the scenes. Such a Special cast. This is not just a show, this is history. ❤️🩹
Kudos to the conviction and the courage of the makers to keep any actor for only 2 seasons. That was a brave decision and they got it absolutely spot on.
The Crown should transcend being just a TV show and become a medium of showcasing the monarchy's progression over years. They should return to show us from their perspective what monarchy's years beyond these 6 seasons have been like.
Just finished it… the last scene brought tears to my eyes
I felt immensely attached to all of the cast... All of them are extremely brilliant... I really wish it had NEVER ended
I will miss this show terribly. What a wonderful 7 years of stories we got to bare witness to!
First two Seasons were the Best. Claire Foy and the entire cast all looked like the real Royals, including Queen Mary, brilliantly played by Elieen Atkins ‼‼
It finished with grace and not a dry eye Beautifully done
A big shoutout to Peter Morgan for creating this gem! the casting of 'The Crown' has been amazing and choosing Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Price being the last Elisabeth and Philip was amazing, both actors were absolutley amazing in their roles!
Tears to my eyes to see it finally ending❤ would love it to go on and on with the times❤ thank you for this brilliant masterpiece ❤ long live the monarchy 🌺
The scene in the last episode of the Queen and her Piper. I have teared up a few times this season but that was so emotional.
I’ve absolutely loved it , wish there was going to be more . The ending was really emotional and so well done
I think the crown was so perfect between a drama but also being somewhat educational. I learned so much about UK history the past 80 years they I never learned before. It was perfect. Hands down one of the best shows made.
Thank you for not rushing the show! Brilliant acting all around!
My most favorite series ever! THANK YOU Netflix! Thank you Peter Morgan! ❤🤍💙
this is how a tv show must be done. People committed to their duty 200%, you can tell how everyone involved knows exactly what to do. Throughout the six season the quality of the show was magnificient. I´ve just watched the final episode, and I cant stop crying. Said by a middle age latino man. This was a masterpiece. Thank you.
Few shows conclude perfectly, but this one exceptionally excelled in concluding the series. Impressive writing, acting, and directing - the makers behind this series should take pride in their work!
This whole season gutted me, I don’t think I’ve cried this hard for a show since This Is Us. Well done Mr. Morgen thank you for sharing your masterpiece with us♥️
One of the best shows ever....thank u producers , actors and Peter Morgan for creating this masterpiece! 🙌👏
I watched every episode. I watched seasone 1-5 so many times even I lost count. It was done brilliantly! I’m a royal watcher for most of my life. The three queens were simply incredible. All performed their roles with much love, care and understanding the magnitude of this role. It was just my most favorite of all time. Every episode. Every character. Well done! Will miss it greatly!
I've been a loyal Crown fan from day 1. And I'm sad that it's come to an end 😢. I loved watching every character on this show. I'd watch The Crown over and over and over and over again. I will never get sick of watching this. Thanks to everyone involved.❤
I told myself - one episode at a time for the last 1/2 season - nope - finished it early this morning. Bravo on this amazing work!
My favorite has been........prince Philip and specially Specially in the second season.....prince Philip and young Diana are the two most beautiful people I got to know through this show.
The episode where Princess Margaret passes away and she has that dream sequence of the both them as young girls made me sob.
Made me think of my own sister and how broken I'd be if my sister died before me (she's younger than me )
My younger brother died suddenly in 2021, so I know how it feels too. 😢
Amazing job. Last episode had me in tears. A true love letter to QE2. ❤️
Oh what an amazing journey it was! Perfect show with perfect casting, direction, set designs and especially the performances ❤ Thank you Netflix for giving us The Crown
My heart goes to Princess Diana. God such an innocent soul.
The cameo scene at the end gave me chills
the actors were amazing! I will miss this show ❤
Goodbye, The Crown ❤❤❤
Such an incredible show
Impeccable... Every actor in the show, their dialogue, their emotions, their costumes everything on point. Although it's hard to choose but I loved all 3 actress who played Queen.. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My mother as we are Indian knows very little about Royal Fam so when she saw few scenes of The Crown she thought it's real 😅 I mean queen looked exact queen haha.
Congratulations everyone
What an amazing journey and adventure. At least everyone had worked so hard and had a lot of fun in making the series.
It's been one hell of a ride. Thanks for everything.
Lvd the crown and thank you elizabeth debrikie for bringing princess diana back to life she moulded royal fam to who they are today.
What a beautiful show, thank you to everyone on the cast & crew and to Netflix for bringing this to us.
The first episode of the second part is really really good. The second part is promising. Really promising. I feel like I am gonna like it more than the first part.
But it’s not about that. It’s not yours.
You will. I hated all that time wasted on those Fayeds. Ugh. The 2nd half is brilliant, especially the final episode. You'll love it!
One of the best shows that I have ever watched. Thanks to the makers for creating such a masterpiece. Feel really bad that the show has finally come to an end
The entire series is a beautiful cherry blossom to the end of the reign of HM ER II. Regardless of anything, History is important. The Windsors are the end of colonialism, imperialism and likely the last of the great powers. England doesn’t have to be like it was under Cromwell. But Britain is only great with queens. And unlikely to stop the wave of republicanism that is on the doorsteps. Thank you to the life, “long or short”, ma’am.
i just love the serie, cast, all the team. They did a masterpiece of art 👑. God save the Queen .
going to miss this show! beautiful farewell 🥺
I love this show and I’m sad to see it end
i'm so deeply moved by this show, thank you cast and crew of The Crown -- it's been an honour!
To the entire team, well done! Looking forward to the sequel in 15 years!😍
Thank you Peter. The best show. Season 6 was phenomenal. Thank you so much.
Lesley Manville is one of the greatest actors of all time, The real Princess Margret is not a character I ever could care tuppence about. But her performance over the these two final season made me care, she made me well up with tears about how sad her personal story was.
She was something more than our understanding hence her story and stories around her is amazingly brilliant, miss you EIIR❤
It was one of the best series I saw in my life. Thanks to everyone who made it
absolutely brilliant. I am in tears.
This series is the best in many ways, the crew and cast are killer. Definitely a work of art! I’m a big fan ❤
Standing Ovation! Crew is EVERYTHING!
Amazing work!!Congratulations to everyone that's been a part of this magnificent show, well miss it so so much ❤️🌟
Just finished it. What a finale!
Thank you, Peter, for the amazing journey!
I'm at a loss of words.
My feelings and senses are conflicted, and it is painfully hurting me to realize we have reached the end.
Her Majesty is missed, terribly.
My heartfelt appreciation for Martin Phipps for such amazing music composition.
Simply astounding! What a great effort. It beautifully captures the sublime juxtaposition of royalty afflicted by the human suffering just like everyone else. The last episode was beautifully scripted and very heart touching. This show stands out over others on any platform. BRAVO!!! 👏
Truly magnificent. And the final episode was brilliant and deeply moving. Bravo to all.
I came late to the party. The day Prince Philip died I started watching the Crown. It's been a heck of a ride. I learned a great deal about a subject I'd never tapped into and and saw some wonderful performances. Bravo!
The scene in Season 6 of 'The Crown' that made the whole season worth it, was the scene near the end of the last episode when Harry and William are sitting outside talking and Harry tells William about King William II and his brother Harry... and the way William looks at him at the end of it! Knowing the context of the past couple of years made that scene brilliant!
Brilliant! Outstanding work of art. Enjoyed every season immensely.
Breaks my heart that the series is now over…
Loved every second of the show and the different characters that have brought their roles to life in such amazing ways…
Thank you Peter Morgan for creating this well produced series
Dare I say , the real life events didn't affect me as much as seeing it dramatized in the series .. the actors conveyed the real human emotions so beautifully.. I am thankful that this show was made
I wish we could comment “ long live the Queen “ 😢😢😢💔💔💔
Why? are 96yo not allowed to rest in peace?
I want to watch it again. I'm gonna miss the show terribly.
God bless her late majesty- what a remarkable human.
This show was amazing from day 1. I'm sad that its over, but it was a wonderful experience i will remember.
From the very 1st episode up to the last one. Just wow. Last scene made me cry-powerful scene.
I cried at the end… this last season has many emotional moments 😭 thank you for this wonderful series 👑
Masterpiece! I feel sad that it ended ♥️
I speak as an Italian who lived and studied and worked in England. Although Brexit really upset me I have a huge love affair with Britain, its past, its rich history, how much it changed across the last world war. This show sublimated all that in a single series, showing the ripples of the first and Second World War, the fall of the Empire and the rise of Elizabeth to usher Britain to the modern age.
Such a wonderful monarch to such a wonderful country.
The end of the Crown is still incredibly emotional.
That bagpipe playing for Elizabeth reminded me of misty cold mornings walking to uni, going into a small church to look at the battered standards from WW1 of the lads who served from that particular area. Seems like the spirit of the island permeated through the show and the show through it and it was pretty wonderful
This has been one of my favorite series of all time. Im gonnaa miss it.
I bid farewell to this beautiful series which has made a great impact on me ❤
The ending is everything amazing ending for an amazing show !!!
Crown’s done and now time for the monarchy to follow suit.
As an Indian I do feel that it is a bit of white washed on the history part....but keeping that apart what the series brings to the table is an excellent series by a brilliant cast...the cast changed every two seasons but each of the ensemble played it to perfection...no one Elizabeth can be compared to the another and when we look behind it shows how perfectly they fit to the T. Take a bow Peter Morgan and brilliant team of the series who worked behind the scenes...waiting for the final part...
Still working my way through the last four episodes and I’ve cried twice so far: Philip talking to William about missing/being angry at Diana; Margaret’s death. That last scene of a grown-up Margaret talking to a young Elizabeth outside of BP. 🥲🥲🥲
I couldn't stop myself either...that empty morning street, that break of dawn...all so beautiful and all so tragic!
Farewell!! To a great show!❤
I'll miss this series. Enjoyed the anticipation of waiting for the next season. It was a wonderful series. The Queens were wonderful!
Deserves every Emmy!
I haven't had time to watch the last 6 episodes yet. Gonna watch it after the IELTS exam!
The Crown was not just a show, it was a reflection on the monarchy and a glimpse of the life of Her late Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II. This show will always be my favourite until the very last of my breath. Duty, Dedication, Service and Family these are the core principles of the Crown and of the Monarchy. The Queen is dead….Long Live The King. God Save The King.
Wow another great series coming to an end! It feels as if we live through the seasons as everyone grew old
The final episode was so well done with Clair Foy, Olivia Coleman, and Imelda Stanton as well as the actress portraying QE2 in uniform at the Ritz. It reminded me of the Three Tall Women by Edward Albee. Bravo!
She was the job god bless her sweet dreams beautiful xxx
Truly, all the actors were.......... OUTSTANDING ! The series was the best, whether part fiction or not. Only the British could have told this story.
I believe the producers will eventually have the ultimate choice for this 'really' to be the final Crown' or 'decide' in a few years follow this and release another series.
Probably covering topics behind closed doors subjects such as...post death of the late queen, charles coronation, the divide between the younger royals HRH William Prince of Wales....and 'Mrs & Mrs' Markle etc (that's if anyone's even bothered on the later two subjects).
The creators can definitely squeeze in one more spin-off season or a Netflix movie special to cover those topics
RIP the best show of netflix
so emotional ❤❤❤
Absolute masterpiece!! In terms of cinematography, portrayal of characters, acting, direction, editing, etc etc
