Fellow introvert here! Finding places that aren't crazy full with people is tricky, but when you do, it's so rewarding and cool. The trick is to know what days and times are usually the lest busiest. There are a couple of libraries I really enjoy, but Central Park also is really nice to walk through on days when not too many people are around. ☺️

This bookstore looks so heavenly and positive. Like just being in there would make you happy. I wish I could visit one like that, but it's highly unlikely. So fun to see you on your bookish solo adventure! I did push myself last year to go on my own, but I got so much anxiety I would cry alot, and have trouble breathing, so I stopped being brave. I must try some more this year

I use the hair dryer to remove stickers off the book cover. Med/High heat works just enough heat to soften the stickiness of the sticker.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever been on a cruise but I think they are great for solo travel as well as relaxing and reading books. Reading on your balcony out on the ocean is amazing 😊

I do many solo trips too girl I do not wait on anyone to do things with me. I was in nyc twice last year and visited the Strand and the biggest Barnes like you did. I was in so much aww i had such an amazing time. I read in Central Park and got lost 😅🤣🤣🤦🏾♀️

Yep! Back in 2015, I was planning a summer backpacking trip to Europe, part of it would be solo while other parts there would be friends joining me. I felt like I needed to do a closer solo trip first to get a feel of the experience, sort of like a “trial”solo trip. I went to Phuket first for like Spring Break and had the most amazing time! It gave me the confidence I needed to continue planning my European tour. I literally resumed planning that trip while in Thailand. Like you said in the video, you have to just do it! Do something for yourself. Don’t wait on others. You grow so much and learn many things about yourself during the process.

There's a large bookstore in Portland, OR. It's called Powells. I think it has 4 floors too. 3 or 4 floors. No escalators though lol. There are elevators

I enjoyed Rafe and Xeni, the second in the series. A book bar sounds like fun. I don't think my city has any. I would love to travel to a place that has a literary hotel for book lovers. Harlan Coben is one of my favs. I enjoy his books, but not the show adaptations.

I love traveling solo. Like you I usually meet people at the destination. But I also love when I go to events like scfy conventions and now Book signing conventions alone. But make new friends there❤
There is a new romance bookstore in KC I want to go to. I’m thinking of a quick weekend road trip by myself. Baby steps lol but I definitely want to check out Ripped Bodice too so that may be on the list next for a solo trip.

You're making me homesick for my home city. I'm originally from Queens. I loved the bookstores there! The Strand is amazing. I miss hanging out at the NYC Public Library. We went there after school a lot. The upstairs room we used to hang out in is closed now though. My grandma would have said, you're so brave (she said that for everything. Inside family joke)! Lol
