The way that I find out if a book has spice is target age (new adult vs young adult vs adult). But you can also use storygraph and check out content warnings because it will tell you if people reported sexual content. It needs a decent readership though usually to have these “warnings”. KU has a decent amount too and they tell you at the bottom of the summary
