Very nice interview with our lovely Brian. He always seemed like a thoughtful person. When I found out he was a fellow horse lover I almost came unglued, since I've been obsessed with them since I was 4. We all still miss you dear Brian. RIP to you, Mick, and Steve. 💜💘
A sweet and gentle soul, so sensitive that it was all too easy to inflict wounds...if the eyes are the mirror of what you have inside, in his case, everything was transparent. Those extraordinarily dark grey-blue eyes shone like a summer night in his best moments, but when he was suffering, they were as black as the deepest of abysses...❤

They were so expressive that, even without saying anything, they let everything shine through. When he was in pain, for whatever reason... those eyes were the theatre of a tragedy of which you seemed to be a spectator and even part of... so black that it hurt, so black that you couldn't bear to look at them...The souls you can easily hurt are also the best... is the other side of the coin❤️
@@aureaestelasantos3059 I know people who have met him in person. @@michaelkaye9244 "Genuine'' is exactly the right word. Even on stage, where everything is quite planned, he always had a disarming manner. He would say, "How beautiful!", pick them up and give kisses with his hand.... There was always something innocent, candid, heedless of what others might think....From personal experience, I know what he must have suffered. The estrangement from the band as a kind of second abandonment, as an object no longer welcome, that can be thrown away. A wound that started bleeding again...I swear I've NEVER spent as many words for any artist as I have for Brian...RIP at best and that's it. For Brian it was all different, as if he had awakened in me things dormant in time, for affinity, hard times...I have for him tenderness, admiration, understanding. He didn't leave me indifferent...
So nice to hear him sound so strong and healthy .... sounds so confident. Makes you love him even more, if that's possible. Nice photos, some I've never seen. So sad how his life ended ..... RIP Brian Connolly.
The end of vulnerable, sensitive souls...as he was, as they say, skinless...he felt everything, deep down, the joy and sadly, the pain...you could feel it even when he was healthy. He was a being you could hurt...They are also the most beautiful souls.... It's the flipside of the coin...❤
I cannot thank you enough for posting this! It's the best thing ever to hear Brian's voice and learn about his opinions and about what was going on in his head back in 1973. What a phenomenal man!! Thanks again! And thank you for sharing the story about the photoshoot, it's really funny, exactly something the Sweet would do..
Good to hear Brian in top form! Not sure he totally understands words like 'extravagances' and 'sentimental' but he gets there in the end! All the best from Steve Priest and Sweet (over in LA, but hoping to come to Europe soon!). Cheers.
Great '73 Bri interview, you sound so young 🙂. I rang the Bravo 'star telefon' all day when Brian's message was on there about 1975, just to hear his voice again and again...😉
well lads there you have it why are we playing in front of 1500 when we could be putting the same energy in front of 15000 now tell me there management was crap
who's Bibi? Didn't get these shows in Australia back then.....think too at the time we had stopped getting overseas artists videos or such like because we were trying to make our own industry Anyway....He was a very genuine person such a shame how things went 😢
