Do you think Kyler Murray is a better player than Michael Vick?
Not even close, Murray is too small
Nope
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright what a question lol .. guy ain’t even in the league yet lol
Absolutely not..... He won't do much in the NFL either. Way to small and the defense will swallow him up
Nah son. Until he carries a team like vick carried the falcons straight-up day-one starting. College is college and pro is pro. So many folks get punked trying to convert college qb's into future franchise qb's.

When you hear people saying the same thing twice watch out
@Erik Lerström You and I both! I had to double check the content of my cup. It was indeed tea... :-)
People always under estimate one aspect of Michael Vick... Now I know he was an elite Runner, and yes you would have liked to seen him be more accurate as a passer, but Michael Vick had an absolute Cannon for an arm! You absolutely cannot say he was a running back. That is disrespectful! Michael Vick had an absolute laser, and I know running backs who played quarterback in college or High School, but name one running back who had an arm halfway as strong as Michael Vick's? With that said, I am definitely on the Kyler Murray bandwagon! Just don't disrespect Michael Vick's arm, because he had Elite arm strength as well as foot speed!
Same with Cam Newton! To compare Cam Newton to Mike alstott is disrespectful as well! Cam Newton has an absolute Cannon also!
Appriciate dat. Im glad you used the term "Passer" instead of the word throw because these idiots can never get the distinction correct!😥 what cris carter ment too say was that kyler is a better (passer) not thrower than vick. People need to stop saying "he cant throw" and start using "he cant pass" or effectively distribute the foot ball. smh.
Demetrius Middleton
Why you so hurt. He said WHEN he ran he ran like a running back. Not that he was a running back, it’s like saying Talib and Deon Sanders after the interception they ran like returners not that that’s the onlything they were but certain aspect s of their game was more in line with other positions than their own
Yes.....he had a LASER of an arm. Thank you for saying this, can't be forgotten.
I think most of his accuracy problems were due to a bad work ethic out of college and lack of coaching, his fundamentals we'rent there
Michael Vick had a cannon arm, comparable easily to Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford, but he was never an accurate passer of the ball...
Vick was a good thrower. In Atlanta he had no WRs.
Mike Vick couldn't throw? He had an absolute cannon!!
Thank you! He ment to say that vick was not a great (Passer) which is understandable.
Vick wasn't accurate and couldn't read a defense! Kyler can survey the field and go through progressions. Vi
Whisper Status 74 🎯Exactly
He had power for sure, but not enough accuracy...
Whisper Status 74 his accuracy was 50% which is garbage and he ran for less yards less yards per carry and less tds other than that though.
“Michael Vick... was never a great thrower of the football.” Didn’t Atlanta sign Mike to $130 million contract? Stop the comparisons ... it’s not close. Vick changed the game. Without Mike Vick... we are not even talking about Murray.
The ideal young (MOBILE) QB is D.Watson 6'3 220lbs pass first but runs to make a play! Did i mention clutch!!
Did you mention interceptions?
@@glenrobinson10 WRONG.. Look at the numbers.
Slim Hardaway wrong? He throws too many interceptions. Did at Clemson, does in Houston. Not that hard to understand.
@@glenrobinson10 45tds and 17int in 23 gms as a nfl starter
He clutched that L against the Colts in the playoffs.
Kyler is my guy. But if we talking running qbs, Vick is in a class of his own
No one would benefit more from Kyler than Saquon... Imagine a read option with Kyler/Saquon.. even if you know who its going to their going to make you look silly in the backfield... And if you try to get help with an extra safety in the box.. Odell's gonna have a field day
Skip Payless smartest thing I’ve read all month. I’m a Jets fan and I’ve been trying to tell this to my Dad who is a Giants fan.
It’s so easy to gameplan against the read option nowadays tho.
Heck no. Michael Vick was a much much better athlete than Murray. Murray is a much better passer than Vick because Vick for the better part of even his pro career did not know how to take something off of his throws to help his ball placement ( The man had one of the strongest arms you'll ever see) which lead to a ton of his erratic throws. Murray does not have a cannon, he has a pistol in comparison ( good arm talent but nothing special). But has much better touch and ball placement than Vick. But what will help Murray the most is the offense he will most likely run; an offense with quick throws and easy completions that occasionally go deep; in contrast to Vick who for the majority of his career was a playaction and deep ball thrower which helped keep safties deep so it opened up the run game.
By the way your analogy on arm talent is really what it is. If you have to much arm power you'll tend to overthrow recivers and routes. If you have just a good enough arm you'll tend to have more touch and control of the trajectory of the ball and therefore be more accurate. Notice that all the elite qbs brady and manning dont particularly have strong arms but are always mentioned amoung the elite of the elite in terms of passing and carving up a defense. Its because they use their brains first and their arms second which in point makes qbs like cunningham, vick, newton, null and void, because those guys play from the neck down, but the qb position to me is about smarts and being cerebral. However it looks like thats finally changing. Mobile qbs are now better passers than the aforementioned guys. Guys like russell wilson, deshaun watson, i know those are only two but its a start.
@@ctaylor2805
There are plenty of examples of QBs with big arms succeeding, John Elway for example. Very strong arm, was a runner and still to most the best QB prospect they've ever seen, and surprisingly an even better professional QB. He was accurate. So was Marino who had a ton of arm talent, so was Kelly who also more than enough arm talent. It's not the arm talent it's how everything else looks as well; how is his decision making, his footwork? His release? If he is just using pure arm talent with poor footwork, mechanics and bad decision making trusting his arm too much then that's when it gets to poor throws (under or overthrown). Like what happened to Michael Vick; he didn't have someone teach him how to play the position with good mechanics and footwork until it was late in his career after prison, robbing him of so much physical talent (his best years throwing the ball were under Andy Reid; a former QB coach).
The thing about arm talent is that it's like money; if you don't have enough of it, it's problematic( think of the fluttering passes Case Keenum threw this season that lost them games). The reason scouts like look at arm talent is two fold. One is almost 1/4 to 1/2 of the tape for QB's unless they are SEC QBs are really useless when projecting how that particular QB will play in the professional level because NFL athletes are extremely talented so some of the throws they get away with in college will be intercepted in the NFL. The second reason is that if a QB prospect doesn't have great timing on his throws ( most don't, even Brady took time to learn that aspect), a more talented arm can fit the ball into those windows with imperfect timing all the while they hope you can develop that timing so you don't have to trust your arm talent later in your career as much. This kid Murray seems to have solid timing on his throws in Lincoln Riley's system. So it seems like he wouldn't have a huge problem with it in the professional level.
Is it Groundhog Day?
I thought I was tripping too lol
The only thing that matters is what offensive line and head coach he gets. Those are the determining factors in the NFL these days the rules are set up for you to succeed if you can read a defense and get the ball out quick.
Mike turned into a great thrower with Andy Reid in Philly. Too bad he didnt get protection because they were close to a Superbowl. They lost because of a slightly underthrown ball to beat the would be Champion Packers.
Passer not thrower. People need to get the distinction right.
C.C I know kyler and Michael Vick because I'm their godfather and I use to plan all of their bday parties
🤣 real talk, every segment!
@@TheAmccoy2121 fr tho
Micheal Vick is probably the best all around athlete in the history of the NFL. He's one that would be good at any sport he plays because he was that good of an athlete.
Al Rose that’s Cam Newton fam. Newton could play basketball and if he grew up playing baseball probably be a power hitter
Cam is just bigger, doesnt mean he's a better athlete. I would even argue that Vick had a stronger arm than Newton.
I was waiting for a Deion Sanders reference, he was a great athlete yes but not quite as gifted as Vick arguably. Bo Jackson was fast in a straight line but nowhere as shifty and agile as a Vick and Deion Sanders. Bo was a bigger dude than both those guys also.
What a freaking joke!!! Thanks for the laugh!!!
Best all around athlete what are u smoking? Best all around as a QB maybe but not other positions like WR, CB smh.
Vick was a long ball threat
THANK YOU!
Durability is my concern.
RG III,Andrew Luck,Mariota, etc.
Kyler because of the threat risk to moving the chains, means he will be a huge Target for DBs CBs and Safety's to hit him hard.
Time will tell how long his physicality will hold up against what his benefit is in putting points on the board.
What do he mean by running through people cuz I never saw Mike Vick Run through some body lol
THANK YOU! C.C either gettin too old or he never watched vick play.
He ran through a couple Vikings in CCs last playoff appearance.
Well, at least they're finally being honest about vick...
I absolutely love the chemistry between these three
Wish they'd replace Jenna. She's just a dull boring lump. Don't get me wrong, I'd take her over Molly, she's not stupid. She's just not interesting
Kyle Murray hand is 9 1/2
Wrong, Vick had one of the best releases ever, watch it...but it was not very accurate mostly due to a lack of focus on technique development. ( And probably lack of natural accuracy talent ala drew brees)
Michael Vick not a good thrower??? Chris Carter is wrong 😂😂😂
Just going by the pics of Kyler they have on the screen he looks like his hand is about 9 1/2
ginormous!! Lol
Vick was not accurate- but Vick could spin that ball. He threw with velocity and had a tight spiral. Among the best I’ve ever seen.
He was often a terrible decision maker - but Vick’s ball in the air was a thing of beauty
john KnowsSports he threw a beautiful spiral.
I'm 5'8 with a 9.75 inch hand. So it's not impossible for Murray to have big enough hands. I doubt it though. My experience is people are surprised by how large my hands are, so I figure it would've been pointed out if Murray's hands are above average.
You have big hands while im small. Im 5'9 but with 7 and half hand at most
as a sooner fan and somone who takes in all info that i can i believe in more than source of hollywood brown and yes i do no thats not his real first name anyhow hollywood runs about 4.38 to 4.32 and the conversation has been that brown is not as fast as murray and one of those its self is kyler himself and preety confidentlly said now since putting on 10 to 12 lbs. for combine im guessing him may trim back a little for pro day but to say mike vick is faster i dont think we know that i think their so close that we cant say one is faster than the other but the strain on a def. that a option down the line qb puts on a def. is nothing compared to having to defend recievers well and worry about covering your rushing lanes and the quickness so that once hes in front of you in space you have very little chance of bringing him down by yourself for murray is by far a strain that most dont handle the way pro def lineman will do anything to get to qbs will allow him to run for 10 to 15 yds and then duck out and not take a hit DEAL WITH THAT
Mike Vick isn't the most dynamic running QB ever. Hes probably the most dynamic player with the ball in his hands he as a punt returner he could have made the HOF as a DB or kick returner. Kyler is a short Tony Romo who can run.
Why do they say the same thing 2 times
Idk what C.C. smoking talking about Mike Vick can't throw. Didn't Vick have an MVP caliber season in 2010 because of his passing ability?
It's Quarter Back in the NFL and it's about making throws. Vick couldn't make throws to get his teams thru the playoffs. Every team that doesn't pick him will regret it.
vicc could throw 50 yards wit just a flicc of his wrist tho......the best reciever he ever had was desean jaccson so its not like he had many passing options anyway.
Yall gotta stop disrespecting Vick with Lamar and Murray comparisons. Lamar same person who had NEGATIVE PASSING YARDS, MORE INT THAN COMPLETIONS IN THE 3RD QB OF A PLAYOFF GAME!!!!!!
Nick ostrich looking self right on this one😂😂
nah Vick is underrated as a thrower
Michael Vick never threw for 4000 yards or more, never threw for more than 21 TDs and never had higher than a 60% completion %. That kind of production would put him at the bottom of the league now.
DoggieNYC he had the arm talent and accuracy, mentally he couldn’t put his gifts together. But he for sure can throw the ball
@@crazyace88 LMFAO. "Mentally he couldnt put his gifts together" ? The guy won 2 SB MVPs. ROTFLMAO. Your killing me dude.
@@DoggieNYC His completion percentage in Philly his first year starting was 62%
@@djencoreatl LOL. In Philly on Sunday night games in October.
Kyler is a poster passer?
CEE CEE LEFT SOME CHANGE ON THE TABLE WITHE HIS HAND SIZE LOL
Nostalgia is clouding your judgment if you say Kyler isn't better than Vick. The size might be the only thing to prevent next level success.
Yeah he 5'10
Mike Vick was a running back playing quarterback. While Kyler Murray is a pocket quarterback who has the speed to pick and create space to run. Kyler Murray is better.
In Atlanta, if Michael Vick had a receiver who can catch the ball as well as his tight-end Algi Crumpler, we would be talking about a different Mick Vick in the passing game. And once he got to Philly with the type of receivers he should have had in Atlanta, we saw a different Mick Vick under Andy Reid in the pass game, with no defense who can stop a team in the 4th quarter. In fact he was a MVP candidate after missing football for two years for serving time in prison, that's Greatness in the QB position. In Atlanta Mike Vick just never had the right people around him that would benefit from his talent. And please don't mention Warrick Dunn. Just compare Dunn's numbers with and without Michael Vick on the field in Atlanta. Roddy White always complained about his drop balls, that he had trouble catching from a left-hand quarterback. The falcon biggest mistake with Mike Vick was firing Dan Reeves. If not as a head coach they should have kept him for a quarterback coach because he was great with quarterbacks with the talent such as Vick. With the Jets, Vick didn't want to play there. He wasn't trying to outplay Geno Smith. Vic was in it just for the Checks --easy money. And Pittsburgh I personally don't count that. With no training camp, no preseason, no ota's, no play books, and to be thrown in the game with that team--- Vick still showed that he had skills. Pittsburgh did not want to turn him loose with that team and defense which he was perfect for and was told, "this was Big Ben's team, ( and rightly so) so don't try to do so much and on top of that PETA and dog lovers protesting--- career killer. There's no way you can compare Michael Vick to Kyler or Cam because they had way more talent around them than Michael Vick ever had. In college and the NFL opposing defense game plan for one man and one man only ---that man is Michael Vick, for that reason Vic was special.
💯
Joel Klatt must be smoking... Mike ran a 4.3.. 6 ft 210lbs and can throw a 60 yard pass with a flick of the wrist
You're going to look like an idiot when Murray runs a 4.2
hashtag underscore Now you look like an idiot. Kyler is not a 4.2 runner and didnt run 4.2
@@ajpierre I have no doubt that he could run a 4.3 if he trained for it. I believe the only reason he didn't run pre-draft is because he wasn't training for it like a majority of the fast runners do. If you watch him run in games it is clear that he has elite speed and running ability. I do very much doubt he is a 4.2 guy though. Those guys are incredibly rare in the NFL.
Vick became ok as a passer. I think Kyler's style of running is more comparable to how Aaron Rodgers runs the football (albeit a lot faster.), and Cam Newton more like a McNabb/Big Ben hybrid.
What is aaron rodgers style?
He need to go to the steelers
Lavar Ball's hands are measured in US dollars.
Who ever picks is guy will soon be fired coach or gm. Remember this
Charlie Ward 2.0
In the words of Jalen and Jacocy bruh that’s a failed test mr Carter.
Saying Kyler isn't a better runner is just wrong. The kid has speed unlike any other football player.
@IkeGee1973 yes but what happens when a qb with the athleticism actually has the brain? What then?
Murray is NO vick but will be pretty good
This conversation is blasphemous
Chris shut up vick had a gun and running wise the best ever

Michael "thick"vick
Lamar Jackson is going to be the Greatest runner of the football of all time .....they are forgetting to mention Lamar
If kyler Murray starts to run in the nfl he will get hurt unless he puts on 10-15lbs of pure muscle
@IkeGee1973 ok
What should his weight be?
If Kyle Murray runs in the NFL, he is going to get destroyed.
Russell has been just fine, Kyler will be too
@@PastorTrue93 but Wilson is stocky and kyler isn't. If he gains more weight he'll be fine though
Greg Dorsey he went up to 206. He gained 16 pounds
Scott Chiware Russell also weighs like 220...how much does Kyler weigh? Like 180?
He knows how not to get hit. Just watch Lamar Jackson, when he goes down he knows how to fall and contort his body to avoid injury. Murray is a smart player, he’ll be just fine in the NFL.
Vick over insert name.................

The best mobile QB in the league is Russell Wilson. Don’t even argue with me 😂
Imo he's the 4th best QB in the league, but stop. That's probably Lamar Jackson who's an RB playing QB
Daniel Smith him and d watson

@IkeGee1973 good point. But you could say that about vick too and i like both. I dont know if its the upbringing or the talent but it just seems like guys like that were never truly taught how to play the position traditionally first and then use there athleticism second. Same with lamar. Guys like these you got to get in the film room in their early teens so they can have chance down the road. I think if you have an athletic qb in middle school, high school you need to try to get him the right help immediately in terms of learning the fundamentals of qb so they dont end up having to be asked to switch positions or have to have an offense modified for their short comings.
