2CV Drive and Walkaround

A quick drive and walkaround video of my Citroen 2CV Sausss Ente, a special edition for the German market. Translates as "sizzling duck" promoting a 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) time of 59.4 seconds! The car received a frame off restoration with a brand new galvanized steel chassis, and is a joy to drive while putting smiles on faces anywhere it goes.

Elle est superbe! Quand j'étais jeune (j'ai la bonne quarantaine), je me souviens de mes camarades qui se moquaient des gens qui roulaient en 'vieille deudeuche' qui était à leurs yeux une voiture ringarde, une voiture de paysan sans le sou. Une bonne trentaine d'années plus tard, ils regardent admirativement la même voiture qu'ils snobbaient il y a trente ans... Rouler en deudeuche est devenu 'hype' :))

Great car. Thanks for the drive. Is the bonnet quite light weight looked a bit wobbly when you opened it. I suppose the car has to weigh less to get economy
I remember years ago my uncle leaned on a friends car bonnet and dented it!

Il me semble qu'il pousse trop dans l'accélération . Le charme en dodoche , c'est la balade , détendu , et apprécier le son merveilleux et , unique , du moteur .

non, si l'on veut un minimum de réactivité en reprise il ne faut pas hésiter à tirer les rapports, surtout la 3° avant de passer la 4, mais uniquement moteur chaud bien entendu...j'ai traversé la France en long, en large et en travers en Dyane, donc je crois que connais un peu le truc...rouler pépère à 60 sur route de campagne déserte c'est une chose (très rare de nos jours), rouler dans le trafic sans jouer les chicanes mobiles s'en est une autre...
