Tom Craig true but if I'm not mistaken there's one species of snakes that does produce poison. As well as using a tourniquet will not decay the flesh for several hours using a tourniquet would actually benefit you in a snake bite situation.
Basically remember your rule or threes. You can survive 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food. Tackle things in that order. If you're making a kit like mentioned you should have thing that assist in that order. Something to purify water is much more important than a fish hook.
Underground springs in the middle of the desert how helpful!! Why don't you "bright side" teach how to FIND those "underground springs"!!! So this video will make a lot more sense!
TIMESTAMPS If you are in the open sea 0:44 If you get lost in a desert 1:57 If you are trapped under a building or in a cave 2:40 If you run into a wolf or a stray dog 3:21 Make waterproof matches 4:03 If you are bitten by a venomous snake 4:28 How to tell if you were bitten by a rabid animal 5:27 How to properly signal SOS 6:07 Learn how to stitch up all kinds of wounds 6:45 A rescue capsule that will save your life 7:12 Stay afloat with bound or damaged hands 7:53 How to set a wet tree on fire 8:38 How to shoot properly 9:18 Fish trap 9:45
If you want to move at night in a desert remember to bring thick layers of clothing so you don't suffer from hypothermia also watch your step as night is the time when desert wildlife is at its most active which often includes very venomous snakes and scorpions
I have to say, this is one of the best and most accurate videos I've seen about survival, published by a channel that doesn't specialize in it. That being said, I have to generally disagree with the part on stitches. I do appreciate that it says to LEARN how to do them, instead of "teaching" in the video. In a survival situation, the likelihood of having the proper tools and sterilization methods in place is very unlikely, especially out in the wilderness. Even if so, the chance of getting an infection from the surroundings is very high. Of course, if it's a big gash and help is days away, then it might be worth it.
*before watching video* There was a very dangerous dog who looked rabbid and almost like an angry wolf, my eldest sister was the only one calm, and because of her we seemed fine, usually dogs would chase after the things they bark at intensely, I wanted to run away, but my sister just stood in front of us, and made us SLOWLY walk around it, the dog did nothing and she was a hero that day (3 children with her) *after watching video* Wow, that's EXACTLY what my sister did, I wonder how she learned to use that method to walk around the dog/wolf, it's really fascinating
When I was 10 years old I got bit by a small dog, the wound was small just a few dots and did not look that deep but bleeding quite a lot, I emidiately rushed to the bathroom and I made it bleed more by pushing the blood out while washing it to flowing water from the sink, I also washed it with soap and alcohol... I never mentioned it to anyone I know till now... It's been 4 years ago... I'm not experiencing any health problems and I have a High immune system
What if in a life-or-death situation, The victim is on his/her phone all day long and has almost cut off communication with people around him/her? Okay I'm not joking but I really want to know what actually should I do because my friend's parents gifted her a phone and now she is more towards social media, less towards studies and her performance at school had also gone down..... *She is not now what she used to be before......*
Nisha Prabha she will probably get over the novelty of her new phone and stop spending all her time on it eventually. If not, tell her you miss interacting with her. Ask her to set aside some time for you and her studies in the real world. Maybe you could invite her over to study and tell her that phones are not allowed so you can both concentrate.
Number 12-Don’t forget to tap on something loud so that search and rescue teams don’t miss you. I am CERT (community emergency response team) certified and one thing that helps search and rescue find people and extract them as efficiently and quickly as possible.
Sara Wilcker - I do understand you died and hence are haunting this comments section because the video didnt help. I know...😂😂😂😂😂 definitely understand your agony.
Just a heads up if you're bitten by an Australian snake. DO use pressure immobilisation. Necrosis isn't an issue with our snakes but neurological, respiratory and circulatory problems are. That said, snake bites are pretty rare and death from same is rarer. If you're bitten by an inland taipan however, run around and frolic. Due to their location and toxicity you're most likely already dead
I think you're wrong about the stray dog tip.Noise & eye contact will make dogs more aggressive.I found it best to stay quiet, submissive & leave the area walking.
Another thing about being at sea : be a viking. No, I'm serious, be a viking. They sometimes navigated by following birds to land. Do that , you'll likely find land.
Use cold water. Unless your using boiling water. Warm water will act as a catalyst for spreading, and it expands pores and the wound, so more can get in.
IN New York there's A LOT of wondering cats who don't look harmful and mind their own business, but in Pennsylvania, there are LOTS of wondering DOGS who sometimes like nice and fine to walk beside but sometimes they bite, bark, Chase, and can be very dangerous unlike stray cats
Thanks for the info, though. You guys have immediately helped me improve my accuracy and rate of fire further with 2 of my weapons. Not yet saving my life, but it's a useful tip to know and is still satisfying during plinking and practice :)
surviving in the city is much harder. Imagine being in a whole different city and you have to survive on your own without the help of friends and family.
Looking at the thumbnail without reading the title...gave me the thought that this video is about some crazy tips for super effective contraceptive methods
Your advice on rabies could get people killed. Do not rely on symptoms! If you were bit by any mammal, or have an unidentified bite after camping/spending time outdoors, seek medical attention.
Your advice on snake bite identification could get people killed. If you were bitten by a snake and you are unsure of the venomous status, seek medical attention immediately regardless of symptoms
Rabies symptoms can take up to a month to show up. It is not guaranteed that there will be any symptoms to give you a clue. It can also be transmitted through saliva in an open wound such as a scratch. The disease has a 99.999% fatality rate. It is imperative to get the prophylactic treatment if you even think there is a slight possibility that you could have had contact with a rabid animal.
With your ‘snake bite’ section you say that you should not press onto the bite. I’m pretty sure this is wrong (at least in Australia) as multiple articles and medical advice say that you should apply a compression bandage and immobilise the limb (although don’t apply a tourniquet). I think this difference may be because Australian snakes can be a lot more venomous than snakes from other parts of the world and stopping the venom from flowing through you body is the safest thing to do, even if it means losing a limb.
Hey guys! Which useful survival hacks did we forget to mention?
How to build some sort of den out of easily found materials.
Escape tricks.
1. Ex. how to escape from high buildings through the windows.
2. How to survive veichle accidents: boats, cars, trains, airplanes, etc.
Use your shirt in a dog attack, and a lot more when it comes to how to shoot properly. How to find water and extract it
Not to be kinda mean but isn't it snake venom and not snake poison ?

Number 3 says wet trees, then says get dry substance to light on fire?!
GayBois RuS - Yes of course. The tree is dry inside, then the dry substance will burn it
AH, yes, now I finally have a use for that piece of polyethylene I conveniently had in my pocket!
Thank you for talking about life and death and health
Thats why its BRIGHT SIDE BRIGHT!!!! The bright the good side

Cant wait to "teach" someone this while they're bleeding out.
Cool, but I usually carry super glue if I ever need to seal a wound.
Can I ask something tho?If the tree is wet then how is it possible for the grass to be dry?

"To be ready for literally anything"?
I was not at all ready for this video...what do I do!?
very good video
4:31 don't seen like a "VENOMOUS" snake lol
How the are you supposed to catch a fish with a piece of clothing over your eyes? 😂
How are you going to get the water of the underground springs In a desert ???
For number nine it’s actually called venom not poison. Poison can be swallowed and you could die but venom has to be injected into the blood stream
Venomous snake? Ohhhh you mean since the snek has the hurt juice it's a danger noodle
With your ‘snake bite’ section you say that you should not press onto the bite. For the snake one you can empty a water bottle squeeze it put it on your skin amd use as a suction cup
Lol wth the thumbnail🤣🤣🤣😂😂👌👌👌
A better tip would of been to mention where to find those underground springs in the desert you mentioned.
SOS by the Jonas Brothers is the ultimate "SOS" song.
